Payment and Rewards

Rack up Points

Each time you take a survey, you will earn points for your opinions. Screener surveys (short surveys) are worth between 5 – 50 points, or an entry into a monthly draw, and are 20 questions or less. Longer surveys offer points ranging from 100 – 5,000.

Points Value: 1,000 points = $10.00. 1 ACOP point therefore equals 1 cent.

Great Reward Options

As a panelist of ACOP, you must have a 1,000 point minimum balance ($10 worth) to redeem your points. Once you have reached this minimum, you may redeem your balance for the following options:

  • PayPal: For most countries, use PayPal to cash out your earnings in a simple and easy manner. If you decide to use PayPal as your cash out option, make sure your PayPal email matches the email you used to sign up with American Consumer Opinion.
  • Hyperwallet: Like PayPal, Hyperwallet is a user-friendly payment platform that operates in 170+ countries. Allow 8-12 weeks for payment and receive a confirmation email once your money is available.
  • Sweepstakes Cash Out: Use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance to win a variety of lucrative prizes. (Note that once a sweepstakes has been entered using your points, you do not get your points back, even if you are not selected as a winner).
  • Charity Donations: Choose to donate your money to a variety of credible charities.

Survey Taking Experience

American Consumer Opinion Surveys

ACOP offers online surveys to its members that are interesting and quick, with the average survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.

In addition to online surveys, participate in other research opportunities such as product testing, focus groups, and judging the newest advertising campaigns. You can expect to receive invitations for participation from American Consumer Opinion several times a year.

Member's Tip! Ensure you add [email protected] to your approved senders list to ensure you receive survey invitation emails in your inbox.

Household Surveys

A few times a year ACOP sends out a survey that pertains to each household. The survey asks what products and services you use on a day-to-day basis. If you participate in this survey, you will be more likely to receive additional future survey invitations, which can translate into earning more points!

One of the best

ACO is one of the best survey sites that treat members properly and reward on time as described. Great Member site!

Payments from ACOP

July 9, 2015 by Wallace from United States

These guys take months to pay you on surveys. No kidding, I waited over 3 months for my points to come off of "pending". To make matters worse it takes a couple of months to actually get a check from them. All told it could take you almost 6 months to get paid. I'm done with these guys.........

Better with faster payout

June 17, 2015 by Lezlie from United States

The fluctuations of available surveys is similar to many other survey sites, and then qualifying for then varies as well. The one factor that makes me question whether to remain a member is on the unpredictable payout time frame. The last payout request I made took three months to be completed. Would like to stay with them as they are one of the few that have low payout thresholds (those at $50 can take a year and a half to two years to reach that payout level). So, I will stick with them and see how the payout goes the next time. I'm hoping for the best (bad habit of mine).

Takes a long time

June 15, 2015 by Eden from United Kingdom

I was on this site for just over a year and only completed about 13 surveys over that time which isn't very good. When you get to 1000 points you can redeem, unfortunately this just takes too long and is not worth the time. Especially when 1000 points equates to $10. In the end I decided to unsubscribe as was only on 525 points after a considerable amount of time.

Depressing

June 10, 2015 by Ella from United States

I have recently heard from the company, they told me that all payments have been delayed for months, so I believe some of the reviews towards the end of May are possibly untruthful.

Why would a representative from the company tell me something like that, if anybody is able to get paid as quickly as some are claiming?

I won't say they are not telling the truth for some reason, but does it not seem strange that about 99% of reviewers are waiting months on end for payments, and yet they get theirs faster than you can blink, and even the company says that isn't happening? If it's true, it's very strange indeed.

Updated:

I find it strange that one recent review on March 20th says that they got their check within 2 weeks of cashing out, when apparently nobody else has, including me.

It took 2 months for them to approve my last survey for 90 points, and then I had to wait nearly another 2 months for the check.

What I don't understand is why I can't get paypal. Last time I cashed out it said I would have to get a check because of some paypal verification, but next time I would be able to, but that did not happen.

The March 20th review also says you can get your points up quite quickly, but they state they had been a member for a year, and was only cashing out for a little over $10 after 1 year. That does not sound quickly to me.
