Join to Take Surveys and More

Take paid surveys and participate in product tests and focus groups with American Consumer Opinion. Join the site by navigating to the ACOP website and become a member by creating an account using your Facebook, Google, or Apple account, or simply your email address.

Once you have entered a few personal details, you will be sent a confirmation email to the email address you registered. After you’ve completed this, you will be transferred back to the American Consumer Opinion dashboard and you will see a list of surveys you’ll be eligible to take.

Participate to Earn Rewards

Every survey you see listed on ACOP's website will show the number of points you can earn for completing it. You can either log in regularly to the website to check for new survey opportunities, or opt in to receive emails whenever a new survey becomes available. Alternatively, you may provide your cell phone number in order to be notified by text when a new paid survey becomes available.

Once you've participated in just $10 (1000 points) worth of online surveys, you can redeem your points for a cash reward or a gift card of your choosing.

Payment and Rewards

Rack up Points

Each time you take a survey, you will earn points for your opinions. Screener surveys (short surveys) are worth between 5 – 50 points, or an entry into a monthly draw, and are 20 questions or less. Longer surveys offer points ranging from 100 – 5,000.

Points Value: 1,000 points = $10.00. 1 ACOP point therefore equals 1 cent.

Great Reward Options

As a panelist of ACOP, you must have a 1,000 point minimum balance ($10 worth) to redeem your points. Once you have reached this minimum, you may redeem your balance for the following options:

  • PayPal: For most countries, use PayPal to cash out your earnings in a simple and easy manner. If you decide to use PayPal as your cash out option, make sure your PayPal email matches the email you used to sign up with American Consumer Opinion.
  • Hyperwallet: Like PayPal, Hyperwallet is a user-friendly payment platform that operates in 170+ countries. Allow 8-12 weeks for payment and receive a confirmation email once your money is available.
  • Sweepstakes Cash Out: Use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance to win a variety of lucrative prizes. (Note that once a sweepstakes has been entered using your points, you do not get your points back, even if you are not selected as a winner).
  • Charity Donations: Choose to donate your money to a variety of credible charities.

Survey Taking Experience

American Consumer Opinion Surveys

ACOP offers online surveys to its members that are interesting and quick, with the average survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.

In addition to online surveys, participate in other research opportunities such as product testing, focus groups, and judging the newest advertising campaigns. You can expect to receive invitations for participation from American Consumer Opinion several times a year.

Member's Tip! Ensure you add [email protected] to your approved senders list to ensure you receive survey invitation emails in your inbox.

Household Surveys

A few times a year ACOP sends out a survey that pertains to each household. The survey asks what products and services you use on a day-to-day basis. If you participate in this survey, you will be more likely to receive additional future survey invitations, which can translate into earning more points!

Makes every excuse possible not to pay you!!!!

May 25, 2015 by Brett from United States

UPDATE: as of 12/28/2014 looks like the site might be down, imagine that? I do not recommend doing surveys with this company.

UPDATE: February 17th 2015 cashed in 10.10 they still haven't paid me! I files a Better Business Bureau report and filed with Ohio Attorney General! They will not answer my emails or voice mails.
Do not sign up with them!

NEW: as of 12/23/2014 it now takes close to 4 months to receive payment

I have now waited 63 days for my paypal payment. I have sent emails weekly and i receive nothing but excuses on why they cant pay me
I do not recommend this survey company
It's not right to hold someones money more than 2 weeks...there needs to be laws enforced with online companies as well on paying people that help these companies and we get treated like this

Unreliable company

May 6, 2015 by Frank from United States

I have been a member of American Consumer Opinion for about four years now and they have become progressively worse. Payments are consistently delayed for months and now my account was deleted because I have not adhered to their terms and agreements. No explanation was given. I have over 1,000 points earned ( $10 ) I will not even bother to find out the reason. It would take me till Christmas to get paid anyway. Do not waste your time with this company.

Used to be good... SEE UPDATE

May 2, 2015 by Ashlaye from United States

Surveys aren't too lengthy, sent frequently and are on a range of topics relating to (in my case) babies, clothing, and grocery habits :), and accumulating enough points to redeem is always super easy. Never have a problem with depositing the check into my account. Only wish it had a Paypal option.

**Updated 08-05-14: Waiting on a Paypal payment of $30+ requested back May 31. Have had two other payments go through with no problem, so this is a new one for me. Sent email to inquire, but no response. Guess I'll be joining the rest of users who plan to wait for payment then unsubscribe/ cancel their membership. :(

*** TERMINATED ACCOUNT 01/15 after receiving last check.

so sad

April 26, 2015 by george from United States

this used to be a very good site , if you completed a survey you used to see those points credited in two weeks. Something happened about a year ago, where now when you complete a survey it will appear in your account as pending and sit there for months. Upon completing a survey it clearly states that YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CREDITED IN TWO WEEKS, but that is not occurring. Some of their surveys pay well, but if you never get credited then what is the point

Stinks

Was a member for many years, I just closed my account with them. Everything being said about ACOP is true. Don't let the BBB rating fool you into joining them. They paid for that.
