I don't know why so many people are complaining about this site. You just have to know how to get around the sweepstakes entries. After going to the site and logging in, just refresh your screen (F5) if it gives you a non-paying sweepstakes entry survey. Then hit "update account" again and keep trying until you get another one. I joined just 2 weeks ago and I've been approved for 20 paying surveys. And $14 has already been processed. Just like anything else, they don't make it easy for you, but it's not really all that difficult to skirt around their stupid sweepstakes.

Invoke invites are available at alot of survey sites. To be picked at Greenfield does not make them any better than their rating. Making $20-$25 at Invoke through Greenfield does not make Greenfield any better. Does this make up for their cheap sweepstakes that only few win, if they are notified. So many sweep prizes have been nullified because they pick winners who no longer are members.This way they don't pay.

Yes theres alot of sweepstakes entries. This is on purpose to weed out the "professional survey takers" who know how to cheat the system. I stuck with them, annoying as it was, and sure enough I started receiving incentives as well invoke solutions starting at $25 minimum. I've made a very decent amount of money, paid very quickly to paypal, and great customer service. Maybe I just got lucky but I highly recommend Greenfield.

I'm embarrassed to say that I was a member of Greenfield for nearly 3 years and took well over 200 surveys (mostly screeners) before unsubscribing from this site. I never got even a single dollar from them. Sweepstake entries should be illegal because this amounts to a lottery. Lotteries are illegal except for the ones that are state run. The FCC and FTC should put an end to these sweepstake survey companies.

Terrible company. Never saw a dime, never got a response from support. Surveys were very long with very LOW rewards. After a year, I gave up.

When I stared over a year ago I got a bunch of paid surveys. Now about all I get are sweepstakes. 30 minutes for a sweepstakes is a JOKE. I just delete those. I have made 90 dollars the last year but not worth the time involved. Very low incentives.

Not only do they mislead you into thinking your going to make money on their site. They also disqualify you before you can even start a survey after them sending it to you. Want you to do the sweepstakes surveys. What a joke of a survey site.
Get as far away as you can with Greenfield, not worth the hassle.
Buy a lottery ticket instead, at least you have a piece of paper. That's more than you get from one of their sweepstakes entries.

When I first started doing surveys this was one of the first companies I worked with. At that time payouts were reasonable. Lately all they offer is sweepstakes entrys.

IMO you can get more money doing greenfield thru another survey site like Your Free Surveys (90 cents), Quick Rewards ($1.05), And Daily Survey panel(120 pts=to around 55 cents which exchange into paypal or gift cards)

They now offer paypal but it takes just as long (4-6 weeks) to get the money into paypal as for a paper check.

However I am still a member as sometimes they offer interactive surveys with invoke solutions which pay a good chink of change for the most part. You still have to wait for the money but eventually it does come.

Besides being mostly sweepstakes entries for surveys, Greenfield has the most errors of any survey company. That way they get you answers and then you get an error so don't get credit. I don't know how they are still around.

I did surveys for 2 yrs with them , its a waste of time unless you want to spend hours on the computer for sweeps entries in hopes of an invoke study that will pay you .Your better off searching else were if you want to make money , and it takes a long time 4 to 6 weeks even longer( a year in some cases ) for your account to be credited.

I have been a member for YEARS and never qualified for anything but sweepstakes entries. I used to try for every single one, but I was too late (within 24 hours), screened out after a bajillion questions, or got just a sweeps entry.

I've been a member since they started - At first they offered paid incentives - now it's mostly sweepstakes entries - this is my only negative comment. Some paid incentives from time to time, now they pay using PayPal and within a week or two you get your PayPaled money - Always been paid by them - sometimes they have focus groups for $50, never won a sweep but always paid on time, and quicker than in the past.

The best advice i ever got. Don't take too much from one person's comments just look above at the companies ratings and that can save you a lot of frustration.
My comment: 44.6% rating is pathetic, yet it is still too high for Greenfield.I would give it a .08% according to the time you will waste on them.

Numerous upon numerous survey opportunities, if you want a slim chance to win in a sweepstakes.
Qualify for very few.

I've been a member for about 2 years and have made $150.00 but it's probably triple that, that I haven't qualified for. I have the same problem where I get an invitation from them to click on it and be told I don't qualify before I'm even asked a question. I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. Their surveys take forever to finish and it's usually for only $1 or $2 a piece.

I have been with Greenfield Only for about 6 months and only have earned $2, most of the surveys only offer a sweepstakes entry, but they never tell you what the prizes are for the sweepstakes. They always have surveys but I never qualified for any of them or I will get that the survey has reached the quota limit. How is this possible, I received an email and clicked on it 1 minute after they sent the survey and told it was full!!! I complained and was told that I need to fill out all the profiles, I have done this and I still do not qualify, especially for the paid surveys. I think this is just another scam, they bait you with that you will make money, I do not call $2 money. STAY AWAY FROM GREENFIELD ONLINE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

If you're looking to get rich, don't try that w/ Greenfield. You need to simply love giving your opinion for the heck of it. In an average month, I'll complete 2-3 surveys for Greenfield. They pay $1 or $2 each. The rest of the surveys are these horrible sweepstakes entries-& these surveys are like 30 minutes or more. The one great thing about Greenfield is that they use Paypal so you get your paltry sum quickly. But, rarely will you qualify for the cash surveys-usu they're looking for IT professionals only. In 6 years of being a member-I've made $80. So that's $13 a year on average. Not a gr8 amt. Ocassionally-they send an invite for a focus group worth $20, but that takes a LONG time to payout-& I've had to hound them for that.

Lots of surveys, but never seem to quailfy, getting to be a waste of time. And you have to watch them, when it comes to a decent survey they don't post your incentive right away. I think they want you to forget you have the money coming to them. I have had to contact the several times regarding incentives due me.

I don't understand when you take a survey, they do not tell you what points you have "Pending".

I joined greenfield sept of 08 I have $2.00 in my account.I recieve at least 6 offers per day from them.when I first started I did every survey they sent me with very few that I didn't qualify for,and then I started noticing they were sending me offers with incentives like $1 or $2 and a few $5 and when you would click on them they mysteriously disappeared because of technical problems,no longer available due to the quota being filled,or sometimes no reason,poof just gone.I call it the bait and switch tactic,then they offer you the dreaded entry into the sweepstakes that 50 jillion other people from their dozen or so other survey sites are already entered in.

After 3 years of taking surveys for Greenfield I'm to the point I want to OPT out. I have received about $40 in my Pay Pal but mostly are for sweeps only. Take 30 to 60 minutes of your time and receive an entry; however it does tell you how long and what you'll receive to fill out a survey. Only if you're lucky in contests, join.

This company is one of the worst online panel companies. In simple words CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!! WTF, sweeptakes to take their LONG and boring surveys, NO THANKS! Horrible company, I opted out of their panel because they spam you like crazy. Probably being ran by a bunch of money hungry executives in CT--'mofo's!

I stumbled across an article last September discussing the acquisition of Greenfield Online by Microsoft that reminded me I had joined the panel in December, 2007. I finally got around to reactivating my account 12/03/2008 and decided to follow thru with the invites for a few weeks curious as to the earning potential. 12/10/2008 I completed a $50.00 Invoke session (received payment 12/27/2008 via PayPal) and at the end of two weeks, 12/17/2008 had earned $98.00. I can't help but think that the change in ownership is the reason for all of the positive changes in the panel. My personal experience has been excellent with prompt responses to any questions or concerns from the staff and payments that exceeded my expectations. If you have been a member in the past now might be the time to "dip a toe" back in and score some bucks online. Make sure to check out the Forum as they have some well seasoned and kind hearted folks there always looking to help out their fellow members.

I was able to get 14.50 accumulated on my account because of the Christmas incentives that were offered...I haven't cashed out. Since the New Year, I have not been able to access any surveys even though the invites are being sent to my inbox.I can still access my account though! I have not been able to get a response..I did a lot of work long surveys...my guess is they will either wait months to fix my problem and or cancel my account before I cash out. I see above that Tony and Michael both had similar problems. I sent an email to greenfield with Tony and Michael's posts attached. I am irritated!

Every time, if the reward is cash, they let you complete the survey and after you complete, ooops youre not qualified! This never happens with unpaid surveys. Lately I just delete their invitations.

I receive tons of e-mails for surveys from this survey site but when I click on the link to take the survey it's says I don't qualify. MOST survey sites already know whether you qualify BEFORE they even send you an invite. Sometimes when I do supposedly qualify for a survey I start to take it and then once about the 8th or 9th question comes it says I don't qualify. Also, I took a ONE HOUR live survey and was never compensated for it. I'm a member of TONS of survey sites and I'm really disappointed in the quality of this one.

These people should be ashamed of themselves. Its exactly what everyones been saying. You take full surveys before they disqualify you or they ask your name and disqualify you. I got 15 emails a day and now they make you go into the survey before they tell you whether or not theres a cash incentive. I qualified for every survey that wasnt cash and never qualified for a single paying survey. A complete scam, youll never see a dime from these people and any of the people who recommended on this site who recommended it or gave it good ratings works for them, dont fall for it. I get for or five of their surveys a day...And soon as you click on it it says you don't qualify...Also have been a member for two years and have only earned about 15.00.A waste of time want do anymore from them...Better off doing ones from companys that will let you qualify more than 4 or 5 times a year.

I get a lot of survey offers, but have only earned a whole $6.00, which I did cash out via my PayPal account, and they were quick at the payout. I don't know what they want to qualify for their surveys, but I don't even get to the questions to qualify, I get to the part that asks if I am Carol and then I am not qualified. So if I don't qualify by their standards, buy just getting my name, why do they bother to send emails for surveys at all.

I have been a member for about six months. Started slow, but I hung on in there with the sweepstake surveys. Oh yes, they throw you a bone every once in a while, like a dollar or two which takes forever to collect. Their overall objective is to get you to take surveys for sweepstakes entries which could be for a tupperware bowl set for all we know. They make money on every survey you take, why work for nothing. If you do qualify and actually start to make some money they will question your honesty and profile. Waste of time.

I have been with them for years and do durveys regular. I hate that you spend considerable time and then they say "you don't qualify". That's BS! I always thinkt hat someone somewhere must be qualifying. If that's not the case, I will not waste any more time.

I was with Greenfield for about 1 1/2 years and managed to squeek $7 wopping bucks out of them so I dumped them. They sent 3-4 surveys a week but, I rarely qualified. It took FOREVER to receive their meager payments. 3 surveys never got credited and got zero response from them when attempting to get it fixed. Greenfield was without a doubt among the worst sites I've had the misfortune to deal with.

Right now I dont have any complaints with them. I do wish the payouts were higher and not all this sweepstakes crap. Most of these survey panels seem to be the new technology version of telemarketing. Even if you dont want something, someone calls you almost instantly, usually with an Indian accent.

Greenfield surveys are so long and most times they only offer sweepstakes entries I don't know anyone who wants to waste their time on a survey entry! Their surveys are usally 30 minutes long . It not easy at all to qualify for their surveys they also work with OTX which is a turn off for me. But they do offer Paypal now so thats the good news because before they got it it took 8 weeks to get a check.

since i signed up with these guys a week ago I have been inundated with emails. They ask me to do surveys but i seldom qualify. Once i got on that the first question asked me if my name was **** *****, when I said YES, it went to a screen that said, we are sorry but you did not qualify for this survey. WHAT??? I get about 2 surveys from Greenfield everyday. I started out filling them out everyday, but as fas as payments, all I get is a miserable sweepstakes entry and for the past 3 months, I've only earned $1. I never qualify for the paying surveys, only for the sweepstakes survey. I am officially canceling my membership with them. I wasted all that time, when I could have been doing other surveys that actually pay. Worst Survey site around. I don't recommend them! My overall rating is a ZERO!

Ive done over 200 surveys and haven't made a freaking penny! So, why am I wasting my time with them? Gee, I guess I'm hoping my luck may change some day.

I can't believe all the bad reviews Greenfield is getting. I personally think it is the best site I have worked with. It might take a week at most for a project to close but if you request a PAYPAL payment it usually only takes a day or two for them to process the money into your PayPal.

Sure they do have a lot of "contest entry" surveys that get tedious but they seem to be one of the best.

After 3 months, I have found that even the surveys I believed I had completed in full have only received a sweepstakes entry rather than the promised incentive. In other words, they are saying that after all the work I did, I did not qualify. I find it ironic that Greenfield's site bookmarks itself as "Paid Survey | Get Paid to Take Surveys Online | Greenfield Online" when I still have $0 in my account after 3 full months and over 60 surveys taken. It is preposterous and should be shut down. As long as they find people to take their surveys they will get away with treating people this way.

I promise that all you will ever get from these people are entries into a sweepstakes.

I've been with this survey site for over 4 months now and haven't earned one penny. Every survey, after filing out for over 15 minutes, always says "Sorry, you don't qualify". Very tired of it.

i joined in may & i have near 68 dollars in my paypal a/c. but.. i think most of the surveys r made of lucky draw system.

At one time I got paid at least $1 for doing Greenfield Online surveys, but it has been a long, long time since I got paid for anything. I have heard that Greenfield wants young people. My granddaughter receives items to test and gets paid well for doing their surveys. She is 14.

Greenfield used to reward but now 99% of their surveys are done for a sweepstakes entry--if they gave us 1 cent for each survey it would be worth more to me than a sweepstakes entry --we have no control over who if ANYONE wins these sweepstakes---I think they are bogus! I never answer any of the sweeps that say entry is your reward for Greenfield anymore.

I just signed up a week ago. I completed 174 surveys of which TWO are eligible for payment of $1 each pending approval.
The other 172 were for entries into contests. The last 20 or so "contest" surveys were 20 to 30 minutes. Save your time. You will not make dine one.

I've been a member of this panel for months and have not been paid for a single survey! They send me several surveys a week. I've never qualified for a paid one though. Sometimes they disqualify after I confirm my name on the first page(which leads me to believe that they "invited" me to take the paid survey so that I would spend 20 minutes on the next survey which "pays" in a sweepstakes entry. Other times I am disqualified after spending quite a bit of time already on the survey.

So, Greenfield has many bad reviews, but I have had luck with them. I have done two high-paid surveys for them-one for $15, and one for $25, and also a variety of lower paid ones in the past few months. Many of the invites are for sweeps, but there are a few paid ones, and when I have problems with surveys, they respond quickly. I recommend them!

I find that surveys offered directly though Greenfield pay poorly, if at all. However when I have done them through other companies, they pay much better. Seems shorting your own panel members is a shady and unfair practice. I refuse to do unpaid or $1.00 surveys, and the new member portal which no longer shows incentive amounts a waste of time.

I beg to differ with the negative reviews of this site. I've been a member of this site for the last 5 years, and I've never had a problem with them. I enjoy doing thier surveys. I get about 3 to 4 surveys from them, and I collect about $50. every 6 months on average. You won't get rich doing surveys, but I also feel you're not supposed to. Your opintion is all that should matter.

Because they have their surveys on so many other sites, you never qualify for any. The paid surveys are always closed even if you click on the survey immediately after it appears in your inbox. And the $1.00 I FINALLY earned took 5 emails and 4 months to get. My advice.....STAY AWAY!

I agree, I've been a memeber with them for quite awhile,at first they were great,then now all I ever get,if I qualify, is an entry into a drawing.Definitely not worth it.

I used to be a member and at first they were okay. Then I started having problems with navigation of their site, surveys, etc. and kept emailing customer service over and over. They did not answer me or when they did, they did not pay attention to what I was trying to tell them. So I finally got too frustrated and unsubscribed. This is one of very few survey companies to which I unsubscribed due to no one paying proper attention to my concerns.

I'm sorry I didn't read these reviews before taking Greenfield surveys. I never signed up through them but took a Greenfield survey through Opinion Outpost. 15 to 20 min. of answering questions and then I was told I didn't qualify. Never again. They did answer my e-mail and said they had no record of my address - scam. I'll never waste my time on another Greenfield survey

Since last month I have signed up as a greenfieldonline community number,there's 40 days up.And during that period,I have received many e-mails from SaraWilliams,and often they offer me with $5,and even once they give me a $15 survey,unfortunately,I don't quilfy.After all,I still get $20 on my account.They pay via paypal may take a long time,but I have alredy received $14,and the rest is just on the way!

This use to be one of my favorite survey groups. I got $33 between Dec. 05 and Aug. 07. My only complaints were too many uncompensated surveys & it would take months before they credited your account & send your check.

However, I have not earned anything since Aug. 2007. They recently revamped their website & removed the ability to review all of the surveys available to you & select the ones you wanted. I guess too many people were doing the same as me & only choosing paid surveys.

Also, when you go to the paid surveys they e-mail you, they are often closed or after you spend 15 minutes or more answering questions you do not qualify. There is no excuse disqualifying respondents that late in a survey.

Greenfield is getting to be as bad as OTX.

I just signed up with them recently and have attempted to take surveys. I understand I won't qualify for a lot of surveys after a brief questionaire, but it told me I didn't qualify after taking a full survey. I think this just an attempt to avoid paying. Stay away from them. I see some of these other complaints were people have emailed and talked to them. I can't even find any contact information on there site anymore. Not a good sign.

I have enjoyed taking surveys on Greenfield. I would go into my account with them, & if there where any surveys, I would do said surveys & go on my way. When they changed there format, things changed & not for the better. I am unable to do surveys either trough the site, or een when they e-mail them to me. I have e-mailed them. I cannot remember how many times I have, & they have been great getting back to me. But the problem is still there. I have not changed anything, so it has to be the problem is at there end. I hope it gets fixed FAST:

The majority of the surveys are for sweepstakes entries which is about a one in a million chance at winning- if anyone ever does win. It's almost impossible to qualify for surveys, there are error messages, and they send you mail reminding you to sign in, but there's no reason to. AVOID!

Lowest offered incentives of any survey company- usually just sweeps. Horrid customer service. It takes months and many emails to finally get paid the tiny amount you accumulated. Stay away from this company

Greenfield Online used to be great, always made a lot of money on their surveys, but in the last few years I have done survey after survey and haven't made any money, even though some of them are very lengthy.

Hard to qualify for surveys, too much time put into surveys for lousy incentives. The surveys I had completed never credited to my account. I've never cashed out. Got bombarded with surveys daily. Got tired of it after a year or so. I unsubscribed.

i have cashed out with them once until they re vamped their site now you dont get to see what surveys have incentives unless you go through your email. its been about 6 months and i have 4 bucks in my account. I seem to never qualify for their paid surveys anymore.

I also got lots of surveys at the beginning and had $89.00 in incentives. I cashed out and it took almost 3 months to recieve and since I have done that I never qualify for any surveys. Not a good company
