This is a really fun survey site (when you get them). Its just that there aren't very many survey's that come out. They do pay out well for gc's.

I have been with Hotspex for almost a month now. I do not expect to get rich off of taking surveys however, you do not get many. The purpose of surveys is to gather research information, but also to reward members for their time and effort no matter how small. This is my biggest objection. I do like the charity portion and the polls can be educational and informative.

This is another survey site which has unfair negative reviews written against it and I can't understand why. You won't become rich doing surveys here folks, so if you have REASONABLE expectations than this is one of the best. Not to mention if you complete a certain number of surveys then you get a tree planted in the Peruvian rainforest in your honor. Very altruistic and the cashout level isn't too bad either. Love it!

I have a been a member of hotspex for a few months and overall im disappointed. I receive about 1-2 surveys a month. The surveys are fun but I rarely qualify for them. I still have not earned any rewards yet and the pay is very slow. There are better survey panels out there and this is not one of them. I do not recommend hotspex. Thanks for reading my review.

Incentives per survey are good but unfortunately I don't get many survey invitations. I had high hopes for this one when I signed up and its not quite going the way I'd hoped but I would still recommend trying it.

At this rate, it will take me 5-6 months to make $25. There are better survey sites than this one for rewards. Seems legit though, not a scam.

First off I would like to say Hotspex, is such a giving company. For all the support to charities and planting trees, you must hand it to them, they are doing their part to help and letting us do it too by planting a tree in the rainforest for every completed survey. Fun, and innovative surveys. Love doing them and have won some great prizes.

This panel is one of the easiest to accumulate points for rewards. Incentives add up quickly and are paid out quickly. I've won a couple of small prizes from spinning the bonus wheel.

Overall, this is a good survey company. As I said in the title, the incentives could be a bit better. However, I imagine a lot of folks say that.

I've been a member of this survey site for under a year and I just won an Xbox 360 w/kinect. So I don't understand anyone not being happy with this site. Their surveys are the best, interesting and fun.

I had been a member of hotspex for awhile, and I wasn't completing they're surveys because I use an iPad and they all require flash. So I recently got a browser that lets me use flash, and I just started doing the surveys from them again and I won the monthly draw for July!! $250!! I was so excited. You get an entry every time you complete a survey. I have not cashed out with them in the past. But winning the monthly draw is enough to keep me doing surveys for them.

I have been with them for about 4 yrs. now and in the past 2 yrs. they have GREATLY improved. I have received about $20. Amazon GC about every 6-8 mnths.

I like Hotspex a lot. It sends lots of surveys for money and the surveys are fun.

I am a member of 37 panels and I would rate this one at about 30. I only receive about one survey per month for a dollar.

YES, I do have lousey demographics, but some sites I average 50% completion! Here (since NOV '11), I've yet to receive even an email from them, and I check in 1-2X/week...Another waste of time site!

working through a survey is entertaining and education. Have only had one problem (with registration) and that was addressed by customer service and corrected immediately. I look forward to the email notice of an available survey.

The Hotspex surveys have always been the best.
For a while they only had chances to win prizes but now they also give Amazon card & PayPal payments. Plus you can donate to charities and they make donations too. And they plant a tree for every survey we complete!
I'm a member of a lot of survey companies and Hotspex is the best one.

They now have $10 Amazon gift cards. I have gotten 2 in short time! Fun surveys to do. Never have been "disqualified" after putting in my time either. They list all the surveys you got BUX for too, so you can keep track.

I don't give free information for nothing..And I mean you are offering up free info at this website.

Hotspex is great, I'm in Canada, yes the rewards are a bit limited, but I have been cashing out for $10 amazon.ca certificates on a regular basis, as good as cash to me! Easy to reach the cash out, average about 6 surveys for every cash out for me. This is a favorite!

The surveys are probably the most fun out of all the survey companies, but in the end are absolutely pointless considering how difficult their redemption system is. They took a year to set that up, so I honestly doubt that they will be worth using in the future since they obviously don't care about their members.

The rewards system there is a joke, I haven't been paid, even though they said they paid me. I have ZERO use for this survey site!!!

Chances to win a sweepstakes is NOT pay for the work you do, no matter how 'fun' the surveys are. Find legitimate, honorable companies. The more members they have, the more surveys they can get!

I just finally unsubbed from this site. It was one thing when they still were giving out points that could (after a fashion) be exchanged with points.com rewards. But now you don't get anything at all.

The surveys are too goofy to seem legit anyway, and I was with them for years.

Who in their right mind would sit around wasting time taking their surveys for SWEEPSTAKES ENTRIES?!?! No one expects to get rich taking surveys, but at least make the incentives worthwhile. And their whole tree-planting thing? Yeah right.

Hotspex recently took away their point exchange program and you can now only trade points for sweepstakes. I've been waiting for quite a long time for them to add a point system (they sent an email to their members when they first changed saying a new system was coming.) But now their website only lists the sweepstakes as options, so I guess this is it. I'm closing out my account as sweepstakes are a waste of time. So I dropped all 5000 of my points in for the laptop sweepstakes, which bought me 80 entries, and of course I didn't win. I can't find an option online for deleting my account, but I'm hoping that "unsubscribe" is the same.

Its not true that there are no incentives, although it is true you can only win prizes right now. I do about 7 to 10 surveys and save up about 2000 "bux" then use them all to enter for one particular prize I want. They tell you exactly what your odds are of winning, you "buy" entries and there are a limited number of entries. For example I bought about 60 entries out of 2500 for a laptop and won it this past january. And I received it in less than a week. No, you are not getting cash or gift cards, but their surveys are definately more fun than others

When I signed up Hotspex offered Bux which you could exchange for prizes. I accumulated quite a few. Then, late last year they changed the rules & all you could use your Bux for were chances to win a sweepstakes. The probability of winning is next to zero. I quit & they asked why & I told them. The girl promised they would have a new program soon. I decided not to quit afterall. In the mean time, they changed their offering on their website & now all they say is you earn Bux for sweepstakes entries etc. I quit again for good. They again asked why & I told them. No response from them this time. Bad business practices!

One of the worse out there. If they are going to give out points give it to where we can get a paypal pay out or gift cards TO amazon or the visa prepaid gift card. GIVE ME A BREAK PEOPLE! They give you a chance at winning something. You never get paid from this company since they have no real rewards. They don't value your time since they will not even bother to give any decent rewards, a chance at winning something is not worth my time.

I sent Hotspex an e-mail to inquire if they will be having opportunities to cash out your points for gift certificates, cash, etc. Their response was:

Our new Xchange program (which will let you trade in your BUX for items you want) is in the works. After further reviews of our progress, we anticipate a new program exchange in early 2010. We are working as fast as we can to have it ready as soon as possible. We have been making a lot of progress within the past week, probably near the end of March.

I believe this is a reputable company and will pull through for survey incentives!

Don't waste any time here! They are not going to pay you for your efforts. The rewards are non existant. Just move on, there are better sites out there willing to show appreciation!

This company does not like to reward you for the surveys you do. They seem to feel that you should give up all of your time, visit their web site and do exactly what they tell you to do while they sit back and make a money. -- THE REWARDS ARE PRETTY MUCH NON EXISTANT HERE! -- DON'T JOIN!

The company leads you to believe you will earn HotSpex Bux to spend. In reality you can spend your bux on chances to win a prizes. A waste of time if you are looking to try to earn a little money.

I belong to quite a few panels and most surveys are boring and repetitive. Not HotSpex. Even though the incentives are never going to make you rich, their surveys are definitely a cut above the rest and more fun than any others I've seen.
They have a unique program where you can use a multiple choice then write a description of what you like or don't like about their clients' products/services. The amount of detail and ability to give feedback on the concepts presented, as well as the high quality presentation of the surveys leads me to believe this is a legitimate market research company, definitely not a scam.
A word to the wise: HotSpex uses graphic-intensive surveys, so if you're on dial-up, it's going to take a while to load. Their surveys are fun, and they do pay actual cash money, so it's a win-win for both the person taking the survey and the company's client.
I'd highly recommend HotSpex, you won't get rich, but you will have fun.

I joined this panel a few months ago b/c the rating was high and assumed people were receiving lots of money or gifts for their time. Not so. While the surveys themselves are fun, there is no incentives. I thought I was getting somewhere when they told me to sign up w/ points.com to convert pts-gift vouchers, only to find out that Points.com wouldn't accept my the pts. Hotspex gave me. It was a rip-off. I would tell everyone to avoid this one like the plague.

Hotspex is a wonderful survey panel to join. They really bend over backwards for their panel members and put their all into making the survey experience an exceptional one. Their customer service is very friendly and genuinely care about panel members.

I at first thought this site was a nice site until I received no surveys from them.
Once all the surveys done you get no more in your country and when you ask them
about it. They ignore you really as well@

Members of HOTSPEX no longer earn points redeemable for vouchers, music downloads and other points program points as it mentions in the information here. Members can now either donate to charity or "buy" a sweepstakes entry. No Incentive = No Reason to Participate. This rating should drop like a stone now.

DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME, Online surveys are for making money and should be rated for Legitimacy and Incentives ONLY. I am with a few other survey panels and make on average $100 a month total. Ratings should MAINLY reflect how much you make from each website.

Yes they have the best designed surveys that make completing them fun and interesting but at the end of the day....it's all for nothing. There are no gift cards, points.com was cancelled, the prizes you can bid on give you about a one in a million chance of winning. Other then donating your "Bux" to a charity, you get nothing from them. Don't waste your time...seriously.

I joined this survey site a couple of months ago. I have never received a survey from them. I have gone onto their website and completed a couple of surveys on there but have never won a prize. They recently changed things around and I still have not received any surveys. It seems like a waste of time.

Cool fun surveys but your reward is now only an entry into sweepstakes that I have never won. Unless you like wasting your time skip this one. Not sure why it is so highly rated. Maybe because it is not listed in the list of surveys to rate

The old incentive system, which involved exchanging reward points on Points.com, was complicated, but now the only incentives are donations to charities no one has ever heard of and contests for prizes that no one wants. Also they never mailed me a single survey (I only took ones that were available on their home page), and customer service did not respond to repeated queries. This is one of the worst panels out there.

Something has happened with Hotspex... not sure if they are going broke or what... but they don't have as many surveys... their incentives are totally bogus now... and the are not worth your time... I've gone and closed my account with them. They asked why and I told them. They didn't answer my questions about the company issues. I guess they don't want their peps out there to hear anything bad about the company... but we already noticed... see ya hotex

Why is this site rated so high? I used to like this site, but now they're just doing contest draws for your points. The prizes aren't even very good. You can't earn cash or giftcards. The surveys are fun, but what's the point if you can't cash in your points for anything worthwhile? Sweepstakes entries have been pointless for me so far. Very disappointing. I won't be using this site anymore because it's just a waste of time for me.

i loved their surveys but now they just said they are cancelng their partnership with points.com and if i dont use them by the 31st of august they will disappear i cant even get anything off of points.com its not recognizing hotspex this is crap now hotspex is just doing sweepstakes

I have no use for free mp3 downloads, or anything that the point.com system implements. I just need a check. The site is nice with its flash applets and everything, but the pay isn't worth it.

You have to use a third party services like points.com to get any value for your time and points. There are very long periods between getting surveys. While the site is nice and the surveys run well, it seems like NPD. You take surveys but get nothing. I would not recommend wasting your time on this panel until they get their act together and get better incentives to get you to sign up.

They sure have planted a lot of trees for me, which is what I seem to win every "mystery" spin. The only mystery here is who is taking all the money HOTSPEX gets paid for the survey results. What a scam. They pay virtually nothing, and you have to sign up with a HIGHLY questionable site to claim a very meager reward. Of course, most likely your points will expire, or be wiped out, or the points needed to claim your reward will increase. All of these things have happened to me. Don't waste your time, there are plenty of better sites out there.

I feel that they have probably some of the coolest surveys out there. They are designed real neat and fun and interactive; HOWEVER, the incentives are kind of questionable. You receive these points that are supposed to be used for entering into sweepstakes. The other option is to use the points through www.points.com and I have read that they are not a very legit site. Despite the cool surveys, I think that I will quit this site once I get enough to cash out for something through points.com :-(

Nice site to work with but waiting for a survey? Forget it. The incentives are not worthy to mention, Like one said,you have to go to another site to claim. Not worth the hassle.

Hotspex need to give better rewards. You have to go to another site to receive your reward and that can take years you hardly ever get any surveys.

How is the site listed high at all? They rarely have any surveys to take, the website works like crap, and I wouldn't be surprised if they went out of business tommorrow. Stick a legit company like SurveySpot or Pinecone, not Hotspex.

After you finish your initial "fun surveys" you very rarely get any surveys from them at all. So, it might seem like a good company in the beginning but it's absolute crap.

I LOVE Hotspex overall. Rewards kinda suck with the points sweepstakes thing however they are FUN to take and you can win stuff. I won money from them from a drawing and that made me super happy. I also found that they have special programs you can get invited to within and you can win gift cards as well as 'bucs' to go towards sweepstakes and things. I do think that the sweepstakes are si based on chance and things that that can bite.. take forever to add up and all that... would be nice if rewards came easier or something but hey, it's better than a lot of other sites so I have to say I love it.

as many have said, this is a really good panel as far as visual,how easy,fun and the acceptable length of the surveys. as others have said too, the frequency of getting the surveys could be alot better. the biggest problem i have is the reward side of it. i have to go thru a middle man(points.com) to redeem my bucs and the ratio of bucs to dollars is really bad. you lose alot of bucs in this manner. they do need to change this reward system very much so. the panel is a little overated because of these particular items. if they would remedy these, maybe then they could rate as tops then.

Hotspex has changed for the worse over the past few months. They use to send about 1-2 surveys per week but here lately I've only received
about 1 per month. The last couple surveys allowed me to get all the way to the end and then kicked it out after I answered all their questions. Not Cool Hotspex!

They give me surveys about every 2 months. Plus you can only redeem your points for sweepstakes entries and donations.

I can't for the life of me understand why this panel is the #1 panel on the list. Yes, their website is slick and pretty, yes their surveys are easy and have great graphics. BUT: you almost never get surveys from them after your first month on the "team," and your 'bux' only get you gift cards which you have to go through a different website to obtain (when you do finally, finally earn one). This is a nice looking website, but I prefer one that actually sends out surveys, and one that pays cash.

A year ago I had 50,000 plus bucks. They phased out the system and I lost them all. I have been disgusted ever since. Not a good way to reward loyalty.

Yes, the rewards are a little weak for this site. But their surveys are quick, and offer breaks and bonus's when they are not. Also, I've cashed out through points.com for $11.00 on my reloadable Starbucks card. I've only invested about an hour (in three months) in their surveys too...

The surveys aren't as tedious as most survey companies offerings.

However, as has been stated, the incentives are pretty weak. In a year and a half I have redeemed 3 $10 amazon certificates.

As has been stated, the reason this panel is so highly rated is because it sends emails to its members encouraging them to rate the panel highly. Much better panels are available.

I don't know why, but my Symantec is suddenly blocking Hotspex. I clicked to see what the risk was and it idicated a virus. I don't know what's up, but there are too many survey companies out there for me to risk it.

I signed up and started to look around the different stuff they offer on their site. Too many games to earn 'bux.' Somehow when I went into my account i ended up in someone else's instead. I had total access to their info, their address, etc., and this person lived in Canada! Twice I emailed hotspex to complain about their security. They emailed me once to say they had no idea how that happened. I deleted all my info and closed the account. Too much personal info in these accounts. If they couldn't keep this person's info safe then I refuse to have my personal info with them. They can keep my 'bux', I'm not going back.

they are 1 of the best, however i've only got invited to 1 survey in 2 months they move kind of slow, but the surveys are very interesting and there are a lot of polls you can anwers. In a nut shell very fun, but not enough survey.

I have fun doing the surveys for hotspex. I like the way they go about things. I have actually put my hotspex bux in and won 2 times so far, I won $100 in groceries, and recently the viewsonic8 picture frame. I am not sure why everyone is rating this survey so bad, it is super fun, well at least I think so :)

Hotspex offers some of the most entertaning and interesting surveys- but sometimes an entire month rolls by in between survey invitations.

I have always thought Hotspex had great surveys, Recently I won an IMac Computer from hotspex, it was simple to claim, delivered promptly and is such a fabulous prize. Best of all its based in Canada. Hotspex is definately my favourite survey site!

While the surveys are a little different from the others, the lack of survey invitations just doesn't make it worth the effort anymore. I don't care about fun, I care about making money in a reasonable time frame. If you want money don't use this site. I also don't like the fact that it is based in Canada and seems like a lot of the incentives are catered for Canadiens instead of Americans

I have been a member of this panel since December 07 and have only earned 715 bux.... which is very poor considering it will take me nearly 1,800 points to earn a $10 gift card for best buy on points.com.... I don't care how good and fun the surveys are when you're only paying your panel members 10-20 bucks a year to participate. I will consider canceling my membership unless they improve. At this rate they are getting my valued opinions for free. I have WAY better luck with Pinecone Research and SurveySpot. Them two are the best!

I have reached my incentive only once in the past year with HotSpex.com. However, I love taking their surveys, as they are so interesting. As with all surveys, what you buy and how you live (and even where you live) influences what surveys you recieve. So it will be a different experience for each person. But this is one of the best ones I've experienced.

I just won a contest at hotspex. I won Grand Theft Auto Special Edition. For only taking a few minutes out of my day to do surveys that aren't boring, I'd say it's an awesome site.

This site provides sponsored surveys (which pay more) and fun surveys (which pay minimally). I often travel, and despite being invited to complete sponsored surveys, the site prevents me from doing so while traveling. I haven't been invited to complete a fun survey in almost a month. The site is too hard to use, and the surveys are a bit too gimicky; not worth the effort unless you're just looking to occupy idle time.

I have been a member of HotSpex for a few months now. In that time I have received not one, but TWO requests from them to come on here and give a favorable review. Instead, I am giving an HONEST review. I think it's unethical to try to sway their members into giving positive feedback about them here. Notice the influx of new reviews the last few days?

Also - in my experience I have had very few surveys and still am unable to cash out my points. I can't honestly remember the last time I got a survey.

Overall I think it's a waste of time.

Hotspex is a very unique website! Hotspex is very different from the other survey panels that I belong to! I truly believe that Hotspex really tries to keep their surveys interesting to their panel members, by using their cartoon type characters, humour, etc.!

I also like being able to swap earned rewards to "points.com," with other reward programs!

For a truly different survey experience, I highly recommend Hotspex!

To me HotSpex is only for people who just love doing surveys and do not require a whole lot of incentive, (if any), for doing so.

Yes, the surveys from them are fun and unique but that is about it. In 3 months I have only received 1 survey from them. I know a lot of people that say you have to give these sites time afer you join in order to really start benefiting. I'm sorry but time is money and I really don't have that much to waste when there are plenty of sites that are willing to pay. 3 months is ample time. Sure you can donate your points to charity but what good is that when you don't have any?

I have not reached ' payout ' so can't comment on that at all.

I would recommend this site if you like doing surveys. Thier surveys are different from the ones you get from the other survey sites. They make you think and exercise your brain a little. I like some of the unique features of this site like instant pie charts so you can see how many other people feel the same way you do when you answer questions.

Great site. Can redeem rewards for things from HBC points to gift certificates. The surveys are not too long. The screeners are short. Highly recommended.

I love this site. The surveys are a lot of fun, and you can trade your points on points.com for stuff like Amazon gift cards. They don't send a ton of surveys, but some of them pay a lot of points, so the points add up pretty quickly. I would highly recommend this site. I see some people don't like the trade the points for air miles, etc because it doesn't have a great conversion rate, but there are a lot of other programs you can trade the points for, not just air miles. I find that the gift certificates are just as great as receiving a check, because you can use them as gifts, or to purchase gifts, and there's nothing out of pocket. Have fun!!

I love hotspex.com. Their surveys are fun and interesting. I also think it's admirable that you can donate some of your points to charity; it's the first site I found that does things like that! They have a hotpot jackpot, as well as places to put bids in on prizes (and the prizes aren't half bad ;)).

My only complaint would be that I wish there were more surveys. Ever since I completed the initial ones, I haven't heard anything back!

i haven't won any prizes but they pay in their points quite well, i change my points at points.com with them now but they are great. Many surveys etc.

Just been with them for a short time so really can't determine how the cash incentives are but do know that the surveys are almost always fun to do. I don't get many but it's ok as I don't need to be overloaded with too many surveys.

Hotspex is just one of over 50 survey sites that I belong to, it is one of the more fun sites that I belong to, but the incentives are quite low, and I do not recieve surveys from them all that often, MAYBE once a month or less often at times. They are fun though, even the more serious surveys are fun.

I always like being creative with Hotspex. I do a lot of surveys and get many incentives with other places to make up for the lack of incentives with Hotspex.

Hotspex is not a bad survey site, but if you're looking for lots of cash with little effort, Hotspex isn't it. Hotspex sells itself on fun rather than on incentives. I agree with the other reviewer. Some of the reviews here are obvious astroturf. I've never seen so many reviews use the word 'innovate'.

I do several surveys and this one is the worst. I don't understand any of the positive rankings. Their surveys are so annoying and you don't really get anything out of it. Survey police needs to check this ranking out, sounds like maybe the Hotspex folks have pulled a fast one and loaded up the positive reviews.

It is funny but very poor incentives

I signed up with hotspex about four months ago. Yesterday I received my free Ipod Touch($300 Retail) in the mail. I have gotten good and rapid(within the same minute once) responses to my questions from their customer service, and I received my prize one week ahead of schedule. I definitely feel that Hotspex values their panelists for more than just their information, they want you to have a good overall survey experience.

I have never really considered using their points.com exchange but I imagine it would be good for those who collect airline miles. I do like the ease of their charity exchange(most have no minimum donation so its really easy even if you dont have 1000 points) and the fact that they plant a tree for each survey. I am a big fan of the prizes in their raffle style point exchanges and can tell you I won so it is possible, but you gotta be in it to win it.

I love this site, they always have fun surveys for bux which you can buy raffles or exchange to charities or points for prizes. I never win anything and i just recently won the Lost seasons 1 - 3 on DVD. I was told to wait 2 weeks for my prize to get here, and i got it in like 3 days. The people at customer support are extremely nice and so very helpful. I am going to get all my friends involved with them as well. I highly recommend HotSpex to anyone.

Speaking from personal experience this is one of the worst survey sites around. I do have to give them credit for the fact you can donate your points to charity. Thats what I did with my points right before leaving them. If your looking for a site to put some coin in your pocket or for nice prizes then this is NOT the place for you. Surveys are boring and the reward value is low to nothing. Yes you can possibly win in their drawing, but the odds are slim to none. The survey questions at times seem strange. I wasn't sure what they were trying to survey for. Oh well I won't waste my time here ever again.

You can cash in your rewards (bux) for 1) a chance in a monthly drawing, chances to win monthly draws (raffles), donate them to charity, or use points.com to exchange them for airline frequent flyer miles.

The only realistic choice is to convert them on points.com. There is a conversion function that can tell you how much hot spex bux will get you on the various programs available on points.com. For example, 300 hotspex bux gets you 118 USAir dividend miles. I recomend you check out your rewards before deciding to jump into HotSpex

These are probablt the most fun surveys to take because they include photos of product packaging and it's interactive, however if you're doing surveys for cash or rewards, Hotspex is NOT the way to go! You get minimal points for surveys instead of cash, and it will takes months to even get enough points for a simple gift certificate which yo have to go through another site to get. Surveys aren't very often -once a week at best.

This is one of the best survey sites that I participate in. The surveys are so fun. It is a very unique Survey Panel. I have to say this is my favorite Survey Panel. I cannot say enough about HotSpex. The are really interested in your opinions, thoughts, etc.. They also support so many great charities. I am proud to say I am a member of HotSpex.

I have been a member of this site since 2002. I look forward to doing all the surveys. In fact I would like more. They have great prizes to be won, although I have never won as yet :( I keep trying.

I like the surveys but i wish there was more. I have received a product to sample for my son which he enjoyed.
I know i will still continue to do surveys and i hope to win something off of the site.

Although it is nice to receive a prize the whole idea is to get your point of view across to the people who make the products. I have been with Hotspex for many years and no I have not won anything, but enjoy having my say in new product development. I do agree it would be nice if they offered maybe a small fee for each survey and then mailed out a cheque/used paypal when you reached a decent amount, however maybe they will do this in the future. I will continue to participate and maybe I will get lucky and win something.

I just love this site! I wish there were more surveys and that all survey companies were this fun! They almost make it like a game, though I wish the incentives were a bit better. They are a very innovative company! They help the environment and many other charities! I think it's a great company and proud to be a member!

I know that some say there are not enough surveys or the surveys are pointless or too long. Well they are wrong. Hotspex is a great concept. I really like how the points system is link to points.com, that way I can trade my hotspex points for Aeroplan miles or other reward miles.

I don't know, maybe the people that gave this 5 stars got lucky with a drawing or something, but I am not impressed. Takes forever to get anywhere and even well-designed surveys can't make up for that in my view. It's great to have fun - but I also want to earn a reward, not just a 1 in thousands chance at a reward, for my efforts.

Hotspex was only marginally recommended when you only needed around 1,470 points for a $10 gift card through the Points.com exchange. That was when you would have to do around 13 fifteen minute surveys plus take the bonus wheel amounts to reach that level.

Now that I finally crested over 1,500 points today for the first time in several months, I log in and find that I now need 2,152 points for the $10 gift card! That's a 50% inflation rate overnight! Maybe I could have gotten that gift card for 1,470 a few weeks ago, but two of their surveys had so many errors in them that they would not complete in IE or Firefox. Emails to their support team led nowhere.

I'm going to stick around long enough to reach 2,152 points so my previous time investment isn't fruitless, but if you were a prospective new member here, I think you're better off looking elsewhere.

While deservedly touted for a panelist friendly environment and the best designed surveys of any company, they must either be really greedy or spend alot producing all of their fancy animations and fun questions. Bux are basically worthless not being able to exchange them for a $10 amazon gift card until you have almost 1500!. Since most surveys pay 100 bux with maybe a little extra won on a bonus wheel don't expect to make any more that $10 a year with this survey site. Fun but not lucrative at all.

Hotspex is very unique in the fact that it has multiple chances for prizes and has a different and fun approach to surveys. Hotspex surveys are usually just the right length and never boring. I just wish there were more of them!!

The Hotspex website and surveys are the most innovative and fun to use of all the survey companies I've been involved with (and I've signed up with quite a few over the years).
As far as I'm concerned, they are 'Leading The Pack'.

They are legit, and their customer service is excellent.
They also care about others. An area is set up so you can donate all or part of your incentives to those that are less fortunate, or to help the environment!

As far as I'm concerned, this is the way to run this type of company!

The only things I have issue with are that the incentives could be better, and I'd love to get more surveys from them to participate in (when I have the time)!

I have been a member over 2 years.I receive the incentive as agreed.Never have received in there jackpot monthly drawing all though have put in hundreds of points each month after completing there surveys.They haven't made an believer out me yet.

Hey, Ya I have been with this site for about 2 years now and recently I won the hotpot contest I received alot of bux which half goes towards a charity of my choice and the other half I got a $175 Amazon.com Gift certificate. In my opinion this site has fun surveys,great causes and if you stick it out it will pay out.

Hotspex surveys are fun to complete. The rewards Bux are always added to my account immediately, and I can then redeem them at points.com for gift cards and gift certificates from many different companies.

Also, I recently participated in an special Hotspex challenge and earned many extra Bux, which I also received very quickly.

This panel is real good. They do need to send out more survey's, I hardly get any. They reward Bux, is ok. I use mine for Hilton Honor rewards.

I have only been a member for just under 2 months, however I have had a lot of fund doing Hotspex surveys. It would be nice if you could cash out your points with paypal as an additional option. I loved the section where you can submit ideas (ideaspex). I also think its a wonderful idea that they plant trees when you complete a survey and you have the option of donating your points to charity (women's shelters, animal rescue, etc.) A great experience overall.

Great Panel to join and lots of interesting surveys to complete. As for their incentive program, I think it is great that you can choose the draws you wish to be included in or you can donate your points to charity. These points can even be converted to points.com.

Rare are there survey sites that respond so quickly to panelist queries and I have always been paid promptly upon request. Recently, I won a Laptop in one of the contests what a great bonus for partaking in Hotspex's fun and at times entertaining surveys.

Be wary of this panel. Yes, they do pay, but their incentives are crap. Unless you win one of their contests, you'll earn maybe 50 cents per survey and you can cash out once you hit like 10 Amazon bucks. Not worth the time. Plus, if their HR department decides you didn't put your full effort into a survey when you actually did, they'll put you on probabtion like me. Basically, if you don't give answers that fit in with everyone elses, they penalize you. Great company huh?

That was awesome considering with other panels, you're usually forced to wait 4-6 weeks until you receive your reward or incentive. I also won a contest worth $250. with Hotspex about 4 weeks ago (Name the New Spicy Burger Challenge!) and I received excellent panel support, as well as a quick and timely check. I would definitely recommend Hotspex to everyone! They're rising steadily to the top and just keep getting better and better.
