Beginning early 2019, Lightspeed shut down MySurvey in some countries, and merged those members into LifePoints. In June of 2019, MySurvey panels and members worldwide were fully integrated into LifePoints.

Payment and Rewards

Survey Types

Take online surveys on a variety of different topics. Typically survey payouts are between $0.50 to $1.25. Surveys vary in length, but usually you earn 10 points per 5 minutes of taking part in a survey.

Redeeming Your Points

1,000 points are the equivalent of $10 USD. You need at least 1,000 points to begin redeeming your rewards. Points are generally rewarded once the survey has been completed, but in some cases, points will be rewarded after the survey closes (which could take up to 3 months).

Reward Types and Amounts

My Survey offers an extensive number of reward options:

  • exchange your points for a payment to your PayPal account. 1,000 points = $10 PayPal payment
  • exchange your points for an e-voucher from a variety of different retailers. These include: Amazon, Boston Pizza, Aldo, Macy's, Payless Shoes, the Olive Garden, and many more (1,000 points = $10 gift card).
  • exchange your points for a cash donation to a variety of different charities. (1,000 points = $10 charity donation).
  • exchange your points for merchandise including small electronics, jewelry, small kitchen appliances, more. There are dozens of options to choose from. Point amounts vary per item.

MySurvey offers a referral program whereby referring friends and family from other households will net you 150 points (worth approximately $1.50).

Bonus Sweepstakes Opportunities

Every month, a few members are randomly selected to receive 10,000 points in exchange for being active on MySurvey. You receive an entry into the sweepstakes when you join the MySurvey panel and participate in panel activities (surveys, quick matches, mini polls or other activities offered).

For certain surveys completed, you will receive an entry into this same sweepstakes. The more you participate, the better your chances of winning the draw. The quarterly draw is for the following prizes: (1) reward of 500 Panel Points, (2) rewards of $250 Panel Points and (100) rewards of $10 Panel Points. If you win, you will be notified via email within 10 days of the draw.

Excellent Paying!

I have been with My Survey for about 9 yrs., and they always have excellent surveys, and pay you well for doing them! This is my favorite site, they have an excellent customer service team, and always answer your concerns! Although, they don't pay right away, it will take up to 2 weeks, they do pay, and also pay to paypal, or you can choose other forms of payment. They have something for everyone! I would definitely recommend this site, if you are looking for a nice, fair site to join.

Do not join this site. They used to be a great company but now they have issues with their system and your account can be deactivated constantly. Their surveys are long and you almost never get the incentive. I spent an hour and half on a "diary" today and my account went "inactive" before I even finished. They'll claim you have a "high IP ping" that makes your account look suspicious but they don't have any way to fix it - most of us use a cable modem which automatically assigned the IP address to our computer every time we restart which gives them an IP ping. There's no way for a regular person to fix this. Unless you're It "savvy", you'll constantly have to ask MySurvey to reactivate your account and you'll NEVER get your money.

was good at one point then got a lot worse, missed some points for surveys I did, surveys time out in the middle or at the end sometimes and you waste tons of time doing them and then you can't contact customer service because they NEVER answer you, they used to answer but haven't in awhile so I closed my account, they do pay on time when you do get the points and get enough but surveys are long and don't pay enough most of the time so you will doing a lot of work for a small amount of pay

This panel used to be my favorite. Easy surveys, lots of product tests and great customer service. About a year ago I stopped receiving surveys. I emailed customer service 5 or 6 times with no response. I closed that account and signed up with my alternative email and started getting surveys again. Then suddenly I was locked out, emailed customer service and was told my IP address was being "pinged" too often so the account was assumed to be fraudulent. After the email that blamed me for the problem, they reopened my account. 3 days later, same problem, same excuse. 2 months later same problem but now he excuse was that someone closed the account. Huh? I am very close to another $10 cash out and I am really considering ending my participation as it is just too much trouble. I am sad about this as this was a 200 to 300 a year money maker for me for several years. Not anymore....

Going Downhill

This has been a site that I have stayed with for a number of years, but lately it just seems to be going downhill...

In general, they can have a lot of surveys available at any one time, but don't believe what they expect the surveys to take in terms of time - 5 minutes to them turns into 20 minutes with just one click. Their expected time on their webpage never coincides with the expected time stated on the first page of the survey! Their rewards are quite good though, extensive choices, can choose from PayPal or shopping vouchers or donations, quite good although I only really use PayPal. Low cashout amount as well, for PayPal at least, it's only a few hundred points.

My issues with this site have grown over the last year which is why I'm writing this review. I was recently invited to participate in a forum THROUGH their survey site. I completed the survey, received the invitation, and completed the forum which lasted a week or two. I was told in the original email I would receive panel points for it, but then the people running the forum apparently changed this and said everyone would receive vouchers instead - not a problem, but then they held a vote which I didn't see the results of, so 4 weeks later when there was still no sign of the reward I contacted MySurvey. According to THEIR records, this forum that I had just spent a good hour or two a day on was something I hadn't qualified for. Their "project manager" had me down as a DQ for the initial survey, so to them I hadn't taken part. I argued my case for the fact that I had and all I needed to know was who was rewarding me - same old 'no one because our "project manager" says you didn't qualify'. A week later I received my reward for this forum that I didn't qualify for and never signed up for in the first place! And 2 weeks after that, MySurvey emailed again, once to say they were still looking into it and once to say that a final decision had been made and I had not qualified so would not be rewarded. As I'd already been rewarded I didn't kick up a stink, but the fact remains I did it and was rewarded yet they had no clue at all...

More recently, I have been invited to surveys stating "5 - 30 minutes". One took me 30 minutes just to find out what the survey was about once I'd gotten past all their qualifying questions, and then I only received half the reward because I didn't complete the second half - of a 30 minute survey that took me an hour to do half of?! And the most recent-recent one didn't even take me back to the MySurvey page, but was the same premise - 5-30 minutes, with the first 30 minutes finding out what it was about. Unfortunately I wasted about 90 minutes on the one that I won't get credited for, but they don't take responsibility even with screenshots of the 'congrats, click submit to be rewarded' page.

I joined in 2011 and have steadily increased my yearly cashouts from them, until last year when it was half of the year before, and this year I just don't seem to be getting surveys. They're alright if you have all day to sit and refresh and wait for new surveys to be posted, but their way of keeping tabs is shocking and I would highly recommend against this if you're someone like me who keeps track of what you've done and how much you should have earned - you're likely to get DQ from at least a third of all surveys and have technical issues and glitches with half of the ones you do fill out. And their estimated time for completion is NEVER accurate!! I was supposed to be going out when I started the last 5-30 minutes survey, I was 2 hours late because they lied!
