Opinion Outpost, OpinionWorld

SurveySpot permanently shut down on June 30, 2019. Opinion World and Opinion Outpost continue to operate.

SurveySpot was launched back in the year 2000, by the market research powerhouse, Survey Sampling International (now known as Dynata). Take online surveys for great rewards and chances to win sweepstakes.

Rewards

SurveySpot offers 4 different types of rewards for your participation. You can cash out with PayPal, or elect to request iTunes vouchers, Amazon vouchers, or Air Miles! Start cashing out once you have earned as little as $5 in points ($10 for PayPal requests).

New Member Cash Draw

New members automatically receive an entry into the $10,000 quarterly cash sweepstakes draw. Additional entries are awarded each time a survey is successfully completed. The more surveys you take, the better chance you have of winning!

Unfortunately, SurveySpot is no longer operational. Click the button to discover survey panels that are running and are actively looking for new members!

SurveySpot Instant Win Game

All online surveys offer an instant win play where you can play a slot machine or scratch card game with a chance to win additional prizes.

Survey Details

The time it takes to complete an online survey will vary, however most surveys offered by SurveySpot take between 10-15 minutes to complete. Most surveys are rewarded within the range of 50 to 100 points, depending on their length and complexity.

Eligibility: SurveySpot is open to USA residents only.

Pay is laughable

May 5, 2017 by Adam from United States

This was one of the earlier sites I tried. I did technically manage to get 10 dollars eventually, but it took a *lot* of surveys, mostly paying less than 50 cents when they didn't filter me out, which most of them did.

After a couple weeks of that, I discovered Opinion Outpost, which at the moment, is 100% exactly the same in site layout, pay options, and who their clients are, except that Opinion Outpost pays literally about 5-10x more per survey. So I got to 10 bucks with this one, then started completely ignoring them in favor of Opinion Outpost. I don't understand why they would do that - in the time it took to get the last couple dollars here so I could cash out my 10 bucks, I'd already made about 15 bucks with Opinion Outpost.

They do have a paypal option, though, and seem to pay pretty quickly and reliably, so there's that. They just don't pay *much*, and Opinion Outpost is good in all the same ways (cause they're basically the same), and actually pays decent.

Is it dead?

Lately I have been trying to access the site, but it keeps asking me to update my profile which I have done TWICE. Then I get a notice to check back later for more opportunities. The last e-mail for a survey opportunity came on April 16th. Since then, nothing. I have been a member since 2012 and hope they are just having glitches and aren't shut down for good.

Waste of my time

April 19, 2017 by Paula from United States

Survey Spot was one of the 1st surveys I signed up for years ago & one of many I have unsubscribed from. My reason was that it would send me surveys, click on it & go to the "We're All Ears" page, never directly to a survey . It was rarely the survey # I was sent or it would take me to several questions and spend several minutes, only to be told I didn't quality or they had reached their quota. It also took forever to make 1000 points.
I don't know about other members experiences but several years ago it used to be a great site. I can also tell you I don't take surveys for fun or a hobby, I actually need to contribute to the household for extra cash.

I used to like them

April 4, 2017 by Richard from United States

I did surveys for SurveySpot for over 2 years, and I had no problems with them. Now, suddenly, their customer service really sucks!

I had trouble with a survey 2 months ago and, after a few weeks of going back and forth with them, I was finally told that it was sent to management for a review and that I would be notified when management sees my complaint. After not hearing from them for weeks, I asked them about the status of my case. Now, I'm being told that the survey is no longer available. Well--DUH!--I already knew that; all I wanted was for my issue to be looked into, which apparently it never was. Needless to say, I canceled my account with them, after getting tired of getting the run-around.

Locked out of surveys

March 8, 2017 by Barbara from United States

I have been a member of Survey Spot for years. Recently when accessing a survey I get a screen that says "answers not saved" and lists several reasons why this might happen. I do not rush through surveys. My answers to some questions have changed because I am now a one person household, which is reflected in my profile. I have cleared my browser cache and deleted browsing history. The one thing I'm not going to do is to change browsers. I don't want to. I emailed Support and they had nothing to suggest except the things I've already done. I notice other survey sites operating under the "umbrella" of Survey Sampling International are also spitting out the same message. I can no longer take surveys on Opinion World or American Consumer Opinion either. Is anyone else having the same problem? I am unsubscribing to the SSI sites since I can't access their surveys.
