Points Value 30,000 points = $25.00, therefore 100 points = approximately $0.08. Points increase in value if saved for bigger rewards, as 100,000 points = $100.

Survey Taking Experience

Survey Lengths

The length of each online survey varies, but most are between 5-15 minutes long. Surveys are rarely longer than 20 minutes, as this is considered a maximum. YouGov offers paid surveys quite frequently compared to other similar sites. You will receive an email every time a new survey is available. It can be different from country to country, but on average you can expect 5-7 surveys a week.

A big plus for YouGov is that they almost never send you a link to a survey that you then do not qualify for. If you are screened out, you are likely to be matched with another survey.

Survey Topics

As with any paid survey site, YouGov's survey topics can vary, however most of the time, they frequently about politics, as YouGov's surveys and political polling results are frequently published in the media. Surveys may also be about consumption habits, your social attitudes, what you think of things happening in the news, and so on.

See the Opinions of Others

YouGov offers the chance for you to see what your answers in surveys are used for. About once a month, they send out a newsletter, where they link to some of the national and international stories where their survey results have been featured. You can also find this information on their website if you choose not to receive their newsletters. This gives you the ability to find out where your opinions stand in relation to the greater YouGov surveys community!

Telling me how to answer a question

February 20, 2023 by Dianna from United States

I was offered a Survey from Yougov via Branded Surveys. The first question was How am I employed: The only choice was Full time. Aren't we supposed to answer these questions honestly? If I was employed full time I certainly wouldn't be wasting my days making pennies for hours of work by doing surveys. Sure didn't feel good.

Site does not pay on time..or ever.

January 3, 2023 by Meghan from United States

I completed a ton of surveys AND racked up a ton of points before being invited to participate in an HOUR-long focus group December 21st, 2022. I accepted the invite, qualified, participated and completed the entire session. I have reached out 5 times, only receiving auto-reply emails in return. I filed a BBB complaint to warn others and received a response saying I would be paid within a week. I have not received a payment or a communication about the $100 compensation. Thanks for wasting my time YouGov.

Horrible Customer Service.

December 7, 2022 by Crystal from United States

Update 5/8/2020
I have been working with YouGov for about 3-1/2 years. It doesn't pay great but if you wait until your points get up to 55,000 it's a $50 Amazon Card.
I did an extension in 2018 and they had a problem with the program and the payments. They told me that. And I got paid.
I signed up for YouGovPulse on 3/28/2019 with a promised $50 after a year. It's been running 13 months with no problems. I have contacted them by email 4 times with no answers or help. What else can I do? I'm not a happy camper right now.

I have been working with YouGov since Jan of 2017. I get 2-3 five minute surveys weekly and have done a couple of online focus group interviews and those were $125 and the other was $50 about 3-4 months back! Besides a couple of errors that didn't affect the reward I've had only one problem with a survey credit and that was resolved quickly...and I have done over 200 surveys for them! If you can be patient and enjoy watching the points build up it's worth the $2 per week. I may dig deeper into this site in the near future; at this time I'm just doing the surveys and not answering any additional questions. So, worth it; 4.5/5 for little to no issues, simple and short surveys and consistency.

1128/2022: They sent me a survey to do and it stated: Upon successful completion of the survey and its requests, your YouGov account will be credited with an extra 5000 points and a $10 gift card. I have not received the gift card or the 5000 points and this was completed on 10/31/2022. I have sent 8 emails with no response. I will be contacting the BBB next week if they do not respond.

12/6/2022: I filed a complaint with the BBB. YouGov has an "F" rating (is NOT BBB ACCREDITED) and has hundreds of complaints filed since 2018. They have 251 complaints closed in last 3 years and 93 complaints closed in last 12 months. They will not pay you if they can get away with it. Emailing them is worthless as their customer service sucks. They only pay you $0.50 per 15 minute survey which is not worth it. They also probably don't have many good people doing surveys for them anymore so their stats are not correct. If a company doesn't pay...the good people and honest survey takers go away. Which leads to: how can you trust their survey results that are posted in the news and online. Don't TRUST their results!!! If you are new to surveys - RUN AWAY FROM YOUGOV!!!!

cash out

November 26, 2022 by Mark from United States

Very low And I mean Very low. Shouldn't have to jump thru hoops to cash out, just lost 30.00 dollars, because of crap. Some of us aren't up to date like others, that is how they all take from us.. Willing to Take the loss, just to expose them for what they are.
