Compensation Per Survey

Most online surveys will award between 300-500 points; the longer the survey, generally, the more points that are awarded. 1,400 points equates to $1.00. Reward redemptions are for gift cards but vary from country to country. In the USA, the minimum is 35,000, which equates to a $15 gift card. The first survey available to you after registering is worth 2,000 points, which will help you on your way to obtaining your first reward.

Reward Options

YouGov surveys offers a variety of redemption options for members, and these options vary from country to country. Cash payments awarded via PayPal are a way to earn money in some countries, and gift cards are available in most countries. Retailers include Amazon, Best Buy, Apple, Walmart, and more. YouGov branded merchandise is also available.

• PayPal payments - receive a $25 PayPal payment by redeeming 30,000 points. Receive a $50 payment by exchanging 55,000 points or a $100 payment for 100,000 points.
• Amazon gift cards - receive a $25 Amazon gift card in exchange for 30,000 points. A $50 gift card = 55,000 points, and a $100 Amazon card = 100,000 points.
• Additional rewards - Visa pre-paid cards, bank transfers, additional gift card options and merchandise available on a per-country basis.

Rewards Delivery

Cash rewards are issued within 1-3 working days. Gift card rewards take approximately 2-3 weeks to receive after redemption. Gift cards are physically mailed.

Survey Lengths

The length of each online survey varies, but most are between 5-15 minutes long. Surveys are rarely longer than 20 minutes, as this is considered a maximum. YouGov offers paid surveys quite frequently compared to other similar sites. You will receive an email every time a new survey is available. It can be different from country to country, but on average you can expect 5-7 surveys a week.

A big plus for YouGov is that they almost never send you a link to a survey that you then do not qualify for. If you are screened out, you are likely to be matched with another survey.

As with any paid survey site, YouGov's survey topics can vary, however most of the time, they frequently about politics, as YouGov's surveys and political polling results are frequently published in the media. I was a member for many years and really enjoyed their surveys until I got a notice that I was banned for having more than one account. Since I have never done this I asked them to double check and got no response. Companies like this are a disgrace for accusing customers of things which they have never done.

I enjoy this panel: you always qualify AND complete their surveys & they are short. After completing a survey, it takes you to their site where you can give your opinion on current events, as well as entertainment & your interests...books, music, food...etc. They pay promptly ($15 Amazon E-Card) with no hassle--a major plus in my view. I recommend.

Update: You Gov has certainly improved. I haven't had any problems at all during my recent cash-out. I am revising my earlier review--which was harsh, but I had a problem getting credit for every survey I did. When I was ready to cash-out, I flooded them with about 1,000 "Snapshots" of every survey I completed...haven't had a problem since!

Original Review: Although it takes approx 8 months - 1 year to accumulate the 35k needed for the $15 Amazon, I liked the site. It was fun & you never dq'd on a survey. I've been with them 4 yrs--cashed out 4 times. The last 2 times, I've had to BEG for my hard-earned money. Nothing like having to BEG to get me really mad. Countless emails; being told I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks. 8 weeks later, it came in the mail...yes, SNAIL MAIL! This is ridiculous, it's an E-CARD--which many other panels e-mail you the code within 10 minutes. I will have--and will post--a rant and/or rave, like the rest of you, from time to time; but having to BEG for my money really sends me over the edge! $15.00 a year is ridiculously low to begin with; then having to BEG for it, is UNACCEPTABLE! Do you all know that these companies make an average of $20 per every survey WE do? I thought as much, but I researched it. I knew that & accepted those terms, but I did not agree to not being paid in a timely manner! I'm down-grading them.

Update: Downgrade. I've been a loyal member since 2013 & don't recall having the problem I am having now to get my reward. I redeemed my points (for a $15.00 Amazon Gift Card) on April 5, 2021 & have yet to receive the card. Also, 8 emails to them regarding this have been ignored--THAT'S never happened before. I'm not sure if anybody's home or not! Bad dog...no biscuit!

I've been a member for many years and would of previously given them a 5 star rating, but now there is something fishy going on. I stopped receiving survey invitations, and when I checked my account all my information was gone along with $60 in earnings. Trying to contact them about it just results in a form letter that says they are sorry they only have a certain amount of surveys to offer with no mention of my account issues I enquired about

I’ve been doing this site for years. Their rewards cards are highly hard to cash out as you need at least 55,000 points to get VISA REWARD CARD. THE LOWEST IS AMAZON 15.00 25.000 points needed that’s the lowest gift card for at this site

They seem to have disappeared into thin air without explanation or warning and with my money. What on earth is going on. They will not send a Code to login with nor will they reply to my numerous attempts to contact them. I have hit a brick wall and In no way can I break through. It appears that other users are having the same problem. PLEASE EXPLAIN.
