Payment and Rewards

Rack up Points

Each time you take a survey, you will earn points for your opinions. Screener surveys (short surveys) are worth between 5 – 50 points, or an entry into a monthly draw, and are 20 questions or less. Longer surveys offer points ranging from 100 – 5,000.

Points Value: 1,000 points = $10.00. 1 ACOP point therefore equals 1 cent.

Great Reward Options

As a panelist of ACOP, you must have a 1,000 point minimum balance ($10 worth) to redeem your points. Once you have reached this minimum, you may redeem your balance for the following options:

  • PayPal: For most countries, use PayPal to cash out your earnings in a simple and easy manner. If you decide to use PayPal as your cash out option, make sure your PayPal email matches the email you used to sign up with American Consumer Opinion.
  • Hyperwallet: Like PayPal, Hyperwallet is a user-friendly payment platform that operates in 170+ countries. Allow 8-12 weeks for payment and receive a confirmation email once your money is available.
  • Sweepstakes Cash Out: Use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance to win a variety of lucrative prizes. (Note that once a sweepstakes has been entered using your points, you do not get your points back, even if you are not selected as a winner).
  • Charity Donations: Choose to donate your money to a variety of credible charities.

Survey Taking Experience

American Consumer Opinion Surveys

ACOP offers online surveys to its members that are interesting and quick, with the average survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.

In addition to online surveys, participate in other research opportunities such as product testing, focus groups, and judging the newest advertising campaigns. You can expect to receive invitations for participation from American Consumer Opinion several times a year.

Member's Tip! Ensure you add [email protected] to your approved senders list to ensure you receive survey invitation emails in your inbox.

Household Surveys

A few times a year ACOP sends out a survey that pertains to each household. The survey asks what products and services you use on a day-to-day basis. If you participate in this survey, you will be more likely to receive additional future survey invitations, which can translate into earning more points!

ACOP deleted my account with $100 balance

January 22, 2015 by Jean from United States

Without explanation, American Consumer Opinion deleted my user account which had an $100 plus balance just before Christmas when I had planned to cash out. Consequently I'm no longer able to log in the account and request a payment. When I attempt reset the password, the system informs me that I don't have a user account: "That e-mail address doesn't have an associated user account. Are you sure you've registered?". However, if I attempt to re-register, I get a message confirming that I am still a member: "The email address *****@yahoo.com is already a registered panel member." Although I had actively participated in their surveys for many years, Vice President Ann Parks failed to respond to two email requests to restore the account and its balance. I just reported this incident to the Fort Worth BBB.

No Check

January 19, 2015 by John from United States

I have sent e-mails regarding my check which I put in for back on October 11th. Sometimes they have ignored me. The last message I sent was answered via Email claiming the check was mailed Jan.9th. I called them in Texas spoke to a nice lady who also claimed it was sent on Jan.9th. She said they tell people to allow 1-2 weeks. You got to be kidding from Texas to California. You guessed it, it is now Jan.18th and still no check just like so many others. They should be ashamed of operating a business in this manner and if I do not get paid I too will report them to a higher authority.

Horrible Payment/Accounting Practices

January 13, 2015 by Carol from United States

I've been with this company for two years now, and suddenly have been having problems getting paid. Last year at the end of the year they blamed it on "a system error" and this year there's been no excuse, just promises to pay. 8 weeks after cashing out, I'm still waiting on a check for $49.55.

Every time I email them to ask where we are in the process, I get a form email back saying they'll request for a check to be cut from the accounting department. Eight weeks -- for less than $50?

My next step, especially after reading the other reviews from people who haven't been paid, will be to file a consumer complaint with the Texas Office of the Attorney General. This is just a bad way to do business, and I will also be closing my account with this company.

Stay Away

January 7, 2015 by Jose from United States

Took me a month and a half to reach the ten dollar payout threshold for payout. Not bad however, the surveys take more than a month and a half to be approved, probably longer. I do not know because as I was waiting for them to be approved. They locked me out of my account. The website does not even recognize my email. First time any survey website has stolen my hard earned money, because that is what it is, theft. I feel disrespected and violated. Stay away from this trashy firm.

Gave Up Waiting To Get Paid

January 6, 2015 by Joyce from United States

Over 12 months and still no payout. Not sure what their game is anymore, but they need to be SHUT DOWN immediately. I'd really like to give them a NEGATIVE five stars, they're that slimy in their business practices.
