CashCrate (the GPT program) officially shut down on April 1, 2019, however their website was converted into a directory of ways to make money online. Note that when the GPT program portion of the website was shut down, members who had not reached the minimum cashout levels were unable to redeem their balances for a final payment. Cashcrate did not offer to issue a final payment for these balances.

The website in its current state primarily exists to earn referral commissions from users. Proper privacy policies and disclosures are missing from the website. We do not recommend using the Cashcrate website.

Cashcrate was a GPT (get-paid-to) website where you could earn cash for completing offers, doing tasks, and participating in online surveys.

How CashCrate Worked

Upon becoming a member and logging into Cashcrate, you would be presented with a variety of ways to start earning:

  • Offers – complete offers and get paid to try new products and signup for free websites and services
  • Surveys – give your opinions and earn cash for participating in research surveys
  • Shopping - get cashback on the purchases you make at hundreds of different online retailers
  • Games, contests, and more – interact with fellow Cashcraters, and earn prizes and points while you socialize and play games. Also get entries to win contests!
  • Referring friends – Cashcrate offered a generous multi-tiered referral program. Earn 20% of what your referrals earn, and an additional 10% of what your referral’s referrals earn. These levels increased to 30% of your referral’s earnings and 20% of what their referrals made, if you recruited a large number of new members. Extra cash bonuses were also offered.

Payment and Rewards

As the name implied, Cashcrate awarded cash to its members. A $20 balance was required in order to request a check or a PayPal payment. Payments took around 3-4 weeks to receive. Cashcrate had a Payment Wall gallery where members could upload images of checks and PayPal payments to prove that they really have been paid.

Community Features

Cashcrate came to be in 2002 and had over 2 million members worldwide. Thousands of dollars’ worth of checks were issued monthly (you could view these in their 'Gallery' on their website).

As per the note in red above, Cashcrate discontinued their GPT program in April of 2019. The information pertaining to their GPT program and the reviews listed below are no longer current.

My favorite!

I've been with CashCrate for over a year now and this is my favorite GPT site by far. I mostly fill in surveys but occasionally complete some offers or watch videos and make around $100/month. Customer service is the best - very quick to respond and always friendly and helpful. Payments always arrive on the date promised. So overall they get a strong 5 star rating from me.

I joined Cashcrate back in 2013. After doing some research and learning how it all works I started making decent money on surveys. I even developed a passion to blog about sites like Cashcrate. Their staff is very friendly and always does an awesome job. They even have live out-of-pocket trivia contests on occasion where they just pay people money for answering trivia questions. They also celebrate your milestones with you. For example, a couple years back I had just earned $2,000 all time with Cashcrate. They created a blog post on their site on my behalf and they let me write about how I got there. How well you do really depends on the effort you put in to learn it and complete the actual surveys. Some people call the email submit offers surveys and anyone who has done this as long as I have know those aren't real surveys because the real surveys do pay and then there are the contests every month just for completing the most REAL surveys found on the "Surveys" and "Best Surveys" tab. In September 2015, I earned $517 and won 3rd place in the contest that month. A few months later, I referred a lady who took first place the month he joined! Not only did she come away with over $400 but I earned $100 in commission just for her performance. It's a beautiful thing to feel good about making money in your sleep because or referrals are making money as well. It's a great experience when you actually put the time in to learn it. The one thing that does make it difficult when it comes to promoting and getting referrals is that their computing system for the stats doesn't work like it used to and I know they are trying to get that fixed. The numbers are miss-categorized and it's hard to show off the payment history when I make posts because the "survey" column says I earned "zero" and that might scare off a potential referral into thinking I am not really making money doing surveys even though I am and it's categorized in a different column. That's the only thing that bugs me. An accurate stat system would make obtaining referrals a lot easier. Overall thought, I have enjoyed the experience and I have earned my elite badge, the highest honor and this month I am in the top 20 of the contest and approaching the $3,000 milestone with over $2,915 earned so that is kind of exciting! =]

Worth it !

I've been a user for about a year and started off thinking I barely got $20 dollars a month but if you do the "offer" surveys too, you can make much MUCH more.

I made around $70 last month and will do again this month which is great pocket change for a struggling student.

Do give it a go and referrals always help too!
