CashCrate (the GPT program) officially shut down on April 1, 2019, however their website was converted into a directory of ways to make money online. Note that when the GPT program portion of the website was shut down, members who had not reached the minimum cashout levels were unable to redeem their balances for a final payment. Cashcrate did not offer to issue a final payment for these balances.

The website in its current state primarily exists to earn referral commissions from users. Proper privacy policies and disclosures are missing from the website. We do not recommend using the Cashcrate website.

If you'd like to leave your comments or would like to discuss CashCrate, please do so on the SurveyPolice forum.

Cashcrate was a GPT (get-paid-to) website where you could earn cash for completing offers, doing tasks, and participating in online surveys.

How CashCrate Worked

Upon becoming a member and logging into Cashcrate, you would be presented with a variety of ways to start earning:

  • Offers – complete offers and get paid to try new products and signup for free websites and services
  • Surveys – give your opinions and earn cash for participating in research surveys
  • Shopping - get cashback on the purchases you make at hundreds of different online retailers
  • Games, contests, and more – interact with fellow Cashcraters, and earn prizes and points while you socialize and play games. Also get entries to win contests!
  • Referring friends – Cashcrate offered a generous multi-tiered referral program. Earn 20% of what your referrals earn, and an additional 10% of what your referral’s referrals earn. These levels increased to 30% of your referral’s earnings and 20% of what their referrals made, if you recruited a large number of new members. Extra cash bonuses were also offered.

Payment and Rewards

As the name implied, Cashcrate awarded cash to its members. A $20 balance was required in order to request a check or a PayPal payment. Payments took around 3-4 weeks to receive. Cashcrate had a Payment Wall gallery where members could upload images of checks and PayPal payments to prove that they really have been paid.

Community Features

Cashcrate came to be in 2002 and had over 2 million members worldwide. Thousands of dollars’ worth of checks were issued monthly (you could view these in their 'Gallery' on their website).

As per the note in red above, Cashcrate discontinued their GPT program in April of 2019. The information pertaining to their GPT program and the reviews listed below are no longer current.

Spammy as heck..

What is wrong with SurveyPolice? I think they are allowing reviewers from people that work in same company. Cashcrate is the pits but you have it with a high rating... not helpful

Terrible

Cash crate is a very frustrating way to make any money. When I am able to qualify for a survey in which is one out of twenty, it seems like I reach the very end and then get disqualified. What a frustrating sequence this is. I wrote to their customer service department and their reply was basically worthless. I am not going to waste my time anymore with this worthless survey site.

We are very sorry you had a frustrating experience with us. Please reach out to us again and we'll see if we can make it right for you.

Unfortunately, surveys are looking for specific demographics such as your age, employment, interests, etc. Sometimes it can be tougher to qualify for a survey than others.

Please feel free to reply to the original support issue you submitted or submit a new one and we'd be glad to try and assist. Thanks.
Reliable payer but other problems

July 24, 2018 by Luke from United States

I have always gotten my check from them so there is no problem there. My problem is they use a whole load of third party survey groups that keep throwing the same surveys at you again and again (probably since they can't fill the quota, but they're still so picky.) A lot of the daily and top surveys tell me they're not available or some other excuse, in which case don't list them. Wish Cashcrate would run their own surveys since they might be more responsible to their members.

Daily surveys just getting pointless. Same TV ad survey comes up that has you take whole way through then claims you timed out. The bonus opportunities pay so low and don't credit half the time.

I actually closed my account a few months ago. I generally wasn't interested in most of the offers especially with having to pick other things on the "path" to be credited. I usually check the video tab when it's up except there's usually nothing available even though that tab isn't supposed to be there unless there is a video to watch. Most surveys go through many questions just to DQ as well as some same surveys that always DQ or can't be completed keep getting put out there since other panels probably can't get the quotas filled either due to over picky clients.

We are glad that you were paid and made some money with us. We are sorry you were unhappy with our service though. We're aware it can be difficult for some people to qualify for surveys but we're always looking for new opportunities and ways to improve survey opportunities for our members.

For the offers asking you to pick other things on the "path", there are various free options along the way such as signing up for a newsletter, requesting more information, etc. The Videos Tab would disappear in the past when it had just videos on it. Since then, we have added more earning opportunities to it such as offer walls, and renamed it the Videos & More Tab.

If you’d like to reach out to us directly about this, or if we can provide any additional assistance, please feel free to use the Contact Us link at the bottom of our site: https://www.cashcrate.com/contact
Successful Surveys

July 3, 2017 by Stanley from United States

I seems no matter how fast I reply to a survey, I am not qualified or quota is full. This has been going on for a few months.

We now have the ability to respond to concerns posted here.

We are sorry you've had trouble completing/qualifying for surveys. Survey companies have a limited amount of money to pay for people to do their surveys. So they have to make sure that the surveys are done by the people most qualified for each particular topic. Some surveys are looking for people with specific tastes, other surveys may be looking for people in specific places, with specific interests, etc.

As you complete surveys, survey providers also attempt to better match you according to the demographic information you've provided. Just to note: Going through a survey too quickly or providing inconsistent answers from survey to survey can also cause disqualifications. We're not saying that's the case here, but we have seen others disqualified because of it.

If you have any additional concerns or questions, please submit a support request on the main CashCrate site and we'd be glad to take a closer look at your account.
Only Good For The Daily 3 cents Check In

October 14, 2016 by Ben from United States

I have been a member with Cash Crate for about a month and they are very bad. One morning, I watched about 2 hours worth of commercial videos totaling up to a promised $8 incentive. However, that money never went into my cash crate account and I was cheated out of it. I contacted them and they claimed there was nothing they can do if the client decided not to pay. BS! Therefore, the only thing that I do on their site that I actually get credit for (and only works on certain days) is the daily "3 cent check in". So I figure perhaps I'd reach the $20 cash out minimum in about 5 years from now. They claim if you "check in" every day, they will give you a 50 cents bonus, however they intentionally rig their site to only allow the 3 cent "check in" to work on certain days. Beware!
