Types of Surveys Offered
Global Test Market offers online surveys that help companies develop new products and services. For every successful survey completed, members are awarded points. Survey lengths vary, but are typically between 10 - 20 minutes. 1 point = approximately $0.05.
Registering is easy, simple and free. Click the registration link where you will be asked simple questions about you and your household. The results are used to determine which surveys you are a good fit for.
Each survey that you complete with Global Test Market rewards you with 'Marketpoints'. Collected Marketpoints can be redeemed for many different reward options, note that selection of rewards varies depending on your country of residence. Rewards can be collected once you have accumulated 1,000 Marketpoints or $50 within your account.

Reward Processing Time
Rewards usually take about 4-6 weeks to arrive if you are in the United States and 6-8 weeks for international panel members.

I am a member of at least 5 survey companies and have never had any of the troubles I get with this crew. I have spent considerable amounts of time filling in personal information in surveys with GlobalTestMarket only to be screened out after 10 or so minutes. The most recent was a survey I spent well over an hour on and finished, only to be told that the survey had ended. Each time I contact customer services about a problem I receive a reply that they have received my query, however I never hear back from them. I believe that they are a waste of time and would not recommend them to any one at all. They give far less points than most other survey companies and always waste your time. I have since completed more surveys that have taken longer than they stated only to get to the end of it to be told that the survey is unavailable. I believe that this company thrives and gets rich from the unpaid surveys to customers. Disgraceful behavior Globaltestspatience
Like the reviewer below, I received an email today from Global stating that I redeemed my points and when I would receive my reward, but the problem is...I didn't redeem any points. I immediately changed my password, and sent an email to them. They responded within 4 hours and my points were returned to my account.
You get a lot of profile related surveys, however actual paid surveys are less frequent and acquiring market points to cash out is difficult.
I like this site and I've earned quite a bit of cash and Amazon credit from them.
It does take awhile to earn enough points to cash out. When I started with them, 1000 points was $50. There were no other redemption choices. Now that they've increased their catalog choices, it takes 1200 points for that same $50 BUT, if you like Amazon, you can get $50 in Amazon credit for only 1100 points (550 points per $25).
Their surveys are about average as far as percentage you can complete but their format is good and your points build up fairly quickly. I've also gotten a couple of home-test products that were interesting.
UPDATE: 3 weeks ago, I did 3 surveys for them one evening - received credit for 1 of the surveys but not the other 2, even though I received the landing pages that said I DID complete the surveys and DID earn the points. I wrote them at that time and asked them to please award the points to my account. Nothing. After a week or so, I wrote again.... NOTHING. It has been 3 weeks and I STILL have heard nothing from them nor have I received the points I earned. They changed customer service awhile back and this new company doesn't give a damn if they respond or not. If they DO respond, they do nothing but demand screenshots (which I'm sure NOBODY bothers to take when they complete a survey) or they argue with you and tell you you don't know what you're talking about. I keep ACCURATE records of EVERY survey I complete (with all companies I do surveys for) so I KNOW when I earn credit and when I don't. I'm not sure if the fault really lies with GTM - it's the customer service company that is causing all the hassles... but then, who hired the customer service company? Btw, MySurvey hired the same customer service company and they, too, suffered for it as the CS people turned MANY against them as well, including myself. Personally, I think this customer service agency needs to be investigated for fraud and unethical practices.
UPDATE: I took matters into my own hands and contacted Lightspeed (which is the parent company of both GTM and MySurvey, among others) and told THEM of the shoddy customer service that was being provided. That was last night and, lo and behold, the matter was resolved this morning with the missing points added to my account. At first, the CS person came on and asked for survey numbers, which I had ALREADY told them I did NOT have because I'd LIKE to believe I don't have to do that in order to not be cheated. Then I informed them of my contact with Lightspeed and made sure they knew of all the complaints against THEM by members of GTM's and MySurvey's sites and I told them that WE are the people who keep these sites in business and, if THEY PO'd enough panelists, these sites would shut down for lack of participation and THEY WOULD BE OUT OF JOBS. Points added. And, because it's not actually GTM that was trying to cheat me, I have brought my rating back up to 4 stars.
I have not encountered any problems with this site, they even have extended their support by allowing me to exchange my bank cheques payment back to Paypal upon my request. I will continue to be a fan of this site.
