Terrible business decision

March 20, 2020 by Gina from United States

I was a member of Inboxdollars for close to a year. I visited the site every single day, often multiple times per day. I answered hundreds, maybe thousands, of questions in that time frame. I was rejected from many, many studies, sometimes after going through 15+ minute screeners (which, by the way, is not the fault of Inboxdollars but of the market research firms who write the questionnaires). I was told a questionnaire would take 10 minutes and it took 30. I completed questionnaires and then not had my account credited properly, or at all. I was often rejected outright the moment I clicked on surveys, especially higher-paying surveys, without being given a chance to even reach the screener. In short, I experienced an incredible number of shortcomings of the site.

Despite these issues, I continued to come back. I enrolled in a few offers through the site, giving the site a kickback. I printed and used coupons. I turned off my ad blocker to watch videos and play games, and so have earned the site money from ad views. My completed surveys earned the site a substantial amount, as well. Over the course of 9-10 months or so, I managed to earn more than $100, which for the amount of time and work involved is ridiculous, but what the heck. I stayed away from the really outrageously exploitative things like a 55-minute survey that paid 25 cents, and I figured it was extra money so why not. I took this money in 2 payments, and the moment I cashed out the second payment I found I was no longer able to take surveys on this site. All that's available to me are things that pay only in Scratch and Win so I might earn a few pennies every other day.

I cannot for the life of me understand the business decision involved in cutting off a person like me, who was clearly committed for the long term and willing to put in the time and effort of turning off the ad blocker and spending hours on the site playing games and completing surveys. I have *surely* earned the site much, much more than they have paid me. And yet instead of encouraging me to keep earning money for them, they decide to cut me off. This is craziness.

My advice to the newbs is: don't bother. You are not respected or valued by this company, and while you may earn a few bucks, you are earning them far more than you will ever see and they aren't even thankful for it.

Stay away from this site.

Surveys are difficult to qualify for especially the closer one gets to the $30.00 cashout level. I thought I would never reach the cashout level. Also, the surveys take much more time than advertised. The spin and win pays a minuscule amount. There is a $3.00 fee to cash out.

Suspend features on your account without warning!

I have been with InBox Dollars for years. I mostly did the emails and watch videos and occasionally some surveys. Last year I was not getting emails and there was a restriction on the videos so I reached out to customer service and was told that I earned money primarily on emails and videos instead of signing up for offers so its restricted. According to them my account will be restricted and will NOT be reinstated. There is no probationary period. I am very disappointed in this company and should not be forced to sign up for offers that I am not interested in.

Not worth time whatsoever

The site makes it seem possible to cash out until you get over $20

Half of the free offers on the "offers" page send you to never ending loops of ads that never credit your account

I was building my balance pretty fast ($15 in 8 hours) until i passed $20 and then I went from 11 available surveys to 0

peanutlabs and the other thing have given me 0 surveys that I can complete.

I get 20-75pct done and it spits me out saying ineligible.

I have done the scratch its dozens of times, mostly the max $100 win one.

I usually get 1/2c for these

out of at least 30 times the most I've gotten was 10cents

site should be called inboxpennies

site is dishonest

site offers 24hr live chat that will gladly link you to articles from the sites faq and help page

12/100 rating - will update if improves

It is legitimate

I started doing surveys for this company on August 29. Everything went great I cashed in three times . Then all of a sudden all my Surveys were gone ! After almost 2 months I have a couple low-paying ones. I run the TV for money I used to be able to run it 4 hours now I get "aw snap something went wrong" or at least 1 video in the line up freezes. Which means I constantly have to go out and back in. Not worth the hassle. It was a good site when I started. I am going to get back up to $30.00 and cash out and be done with them! I even contacted support about the video problem.
