Beginning early 2019, Lightspeed shut down MySurvey in some countries, and merged those members into LifePoints. In June of 2019, MySurvey panels and members worldwide were fully integrated into LifePoints.

MySurvey has been collecting American opinions since 1946 as National Family Opinion, NFO and TNS. Payment and Rewards

Survey Types

Take online surveys on a variety of different topics. Typically survey payouts are between $0.50 to $1.25. Surveys vary in length, but usually you earn 10 points per 5 minutes of taking part in a survey.

Redeeming Your Points

1,000 points are the equivalent of $10 USD. You need at least 1,000 points to begin redeeming your rewards. Points are generally rewarded once the survey has been completed, but in some cases, points will be rewarded after the survey closes (which could take up to 3 months).

Reward Types and Amounts

My Survey offers an extensive number of reward options:

  • exchange your points for a payment to your PayPal account. 1,000 points = $10 PayPal payment
  • exchange your points for an e-voucher from a variety of different retailers. These include: Amazon, Boston Pizza, Aldo, Macy's, Payless Shoes, the Olive Garden, and many more (1,000 points = $10 gift card).
  • exchange your points for a cash donation to a variety of different charities. (1,000 points = $10 charity donation).
  • exchange your points for merchandise including small electronics, jewelry, small kitchen appliances, more. There are dozens of options to choose from. Point amounts vary per item.

Referral Program

MySurvey offers a referral program whereby referring friends and family from other households will net you 150 points (worth approximately $1.50).

Bonus Sweepstakes Opportunities

Every month, a few members are randomly selected to receive 10,000 points in exchange for being active on MySurvey. You receive an entry into the sweepstakes when you join the MySurvey panel and participate in panel activities (surveys, quick matches, mini polls or other activities offered).

For certain surveys completed, you will receive an entry into this same sweepstakes. The more you participate, the better your chances of winning the draw. The quarterly draw is for the following prizes: (1) reward of 500 Panel Points, (2) rewards of $250 Panel Points and (100) rewards of $10 Panel Points. If you win, you will be notified via email within 10 days of the draw.

Eligibility: Must be age 16+ to participate in USA, 14+ in Canada. Other countries may vary.

This used to be good

This was one of my favorites I notice now while I do get invites they screen me out after I have done several pages or when I go to finish there is a error and I don't get credited also they lowered the points you get for a completed survey I am still waiting to get credited for one that took me 35 minutes to complete and would not even refresh I will be leaving this site cause I don't work for free... I have e-mailed several times and now I notice it says it was resolved yeah right in their favor. In the 6 years I have been with them this is disappointing and it's not right to take advantage of people.

Quality surveys and incentives. as long as the points are credited the receiving an incentive timely is never an issue.

As others have said, it is the occasional surveys that do not get credited of survey technical issues that do not get resolved.

I have dealt with this same issue on and off over the last year to the extent of calling the corporate office. They are very nice and receptive to respond at that point, but unfortunately it appears they have yet to do something to establish an internal system to respond to panel members needs appropriately and timely.

If you have the patience to deal with these type of issues now and then, Lightspeed can be worthy of joining.

UPDATE November 2015: Unfortunately this review still stands. It also seems to be getting worse when getting a response they now are saying they cannot credit you without a survey number. So just how many time does one have to send the survey number, the direct link, and any and all errors copy and pasted for them to understand that's the info they required deny you've offered when it's all in writing!

I have been a member of MySurvey here in Australia for about two years and have been happy with them. I receive a reasonable number of survey invitations, and qualify for most of them.

MySurvey have also responded quickly to feedback. I have sometimes clicked the "Submit" button at the end of a survey only to receive an error message, meaning that I can't collect my points. When I have contacted MySurvey about this, they have credited my account with the points earned within 1-2 days. Just make sure that you note the number of each survey you take!

It Finally Happened

Well it finally happened. I have been a member of MySurvey for years and years. Up until yesterday, regardless of the poor reviews I have been regularly reading, I still had been getting lots of surveys every day from this site. Additionally, I just requested a payout a few days ago (which I haven't received yet) and have paid in the past numerous times. My only complaint of late was that it was taking up to ten or more tries just to log in. I had emailed customer service about the problem and never received a reply.
But today I went to log in and received the dreaded "Your account is inactive" status. I just yesterday completed several surveys. I have emailed customer service once again but having read a lot of the reviews, I am not expecting a reply. I don't know what the heck is going on with this site, but it sure would be nice of them to be honest with their loyal members about it instead of knocking us off one-by-one by making us inactive for no reason! If I should be fortunate enough to get a reply from MySurvey, I will update this review.

10/19 Update: On 10/13, I went to MySurvey's Facebook page and posted a comment of my inactive account. The same day I received a reply for me to submit an email thru the contact page on their website which I had already done but sent a second one. MySurvey's Facebook page is loaded with complaints right now. They seem to be responding to them on facebook, however, as of today I still have yet to have my account fixed or received any type of response from their website. I'm not sure I believe they are going to fix anything. At this point, it appears to be promises via facebook and nothing more.
