Survey Taking Experience

Collect Your Points

Most OneOpinion surveys pay the points equivalent of $1 to $5 ($1 = 1,000 points), so you’ll hit the 25,000 point threshold needed to start redeeming your rewards quickly if you are an active member of the panel.

When new online surveys become available, you'll be e-mailed a survey invitation which will state the topic of the survey, the number of points offered for completing it, as well as the approximate time it'll take to complete. Even if you end up getting screened out of a survey, One Opinion will still reward you with points! This will help you reach your rewards goals faster.

Earn Points for Disqualifications

If you get screened out or are disqualified from an online survey, OneOpinion will still compensate you. Earn up to 250 points per day (50 points x 5 disqualifications) for screen outs.

Get Your Points Immediately!

After you complete an online survey, your reward points will instantly be loaded into your account. These points can be traded in towards great rewards from the OneOpinion Rewards Program.

Take Part in LOTS of Surveys

If you qualify, and your profile matches the studies criteria, there may be a new survey for you to take every day. Partner surveys are also available, which will help match you to additional studies.

Big Disappointment

September 23, 2019 by Vivi from United States

Used to be my favorite but it's gone way, way down hill over the last few months.

I keep careful records and my OneOpinion earning opportunities have drastically dropped from a reliable $50-$75 per month to under $25 (you need $25 to cash out and I haven't reached that inside of a month for several months).

The way this panel works is that you're only offered a few surveys per day. I used to qualify for most of them and they paid quite well. With one exception (see below) I still attempt all of them each day but now I'm offered fewer, the ones I'm offered don't pay as much, and I'm disqualified most of the time. The ones I'm not dropped from have dwindled to almost nothing and I'm lucky if I make a full $1 beyond the $0.25 per day that they pay for attempts.

One thing that really bothers me (enough to write this review) is that they've adopted "a new kind of survey," where you're routed through another panel and don't know the length of the survey or how much it pays beforehand. These are about 30% of the surveys they offer me now and I *really* don't appreciate it. Those of us who take a lot of surveys know this is a great way to waste your time and get ripped off - the survey could very realistically take 25 minutes and pay $0.35 (you shouldn't take a survey that long for so little - there are plenty of panels that pay fairly). I won't do these mystery surveys. As honest panelists, our time has value and we deserve the ability to make sure we won't be ripped off. For OneOpinion to start operating this way is a total insult.

In sum, OneOpinion used to be great and it totally sucks now. Quite unfortunate.

Was Not Able to Cash Out

September 23, 2019 by Cinque from United States

I signed up with this site in June 2018, and have not been able to cash out at all. Very rarely am I not able to cash out on a survey site within a year! I was not able to cash out because the minimal cash out amount ($25.00) is way to high, and because I was being disqualified from 90% of the surveys on here. This site was a complete waste of time for me! After 15 months I only have 18,900 points! In the amount of time I did surveys on here (June 2018 - Sep 2019) I was able to cash out multiple times on other websites, especially on sites that don't have a $25.00 cash out minimal. Don't waste your time with this site like the way I did!

Flagged for no reason

July 20, 2019 by Jennifer from United States

I have been a member of One Opinion for quite some time and cashed out several times with no issues. I suddenly stopped getting surveys and was told my account was paused due to "browser issues" but they would give me one more chance (???). I answered ONE question and back to no available surveys. Now they say my account is flagged, there is no resolution and good luck in the future. Waste of time and terrible customer service. I have $16.00 I will never get and there is no explanation as to what my "browser issues" were or why they flagged me.

Exercise in Frustration

February 28, 2019 by joe from United States

I am a long time member of this panel, but today I got so frustrated dealing with their automated help bot that I am reevaluating my membership. I was taking a lengthy survey about cable TV networks, answering detailed question after detailed question for nearly half an hour. Then, all of a sudden I was told I didn't qualify and I was taken back to the home site. I tried explaining the problem to the help-bot, but all I received were generic responses that didn't address my problem, as well as a false promise that I would receive credit if I reload the page or log out and then log back in.
If you, too want to waste your time answering repetitive questions, then deal with an ineffective chat-bot, then OneOpinion is for you.

Joe,

We apologize for the issues you experienced with our Emily virtual assistant.

Our virtual assistant was designed to provide quick responses and solutions for many of our day-to-day inquiries, such as point requests, password resets, reward information, email issues, etc. As point requests are our primary ticket type, Emily has been given the ability to credit points to member accounts. This process has been developed with machine learning in such a way that Emily can eventually learn to tell whether or not point requests are warranted. If Emily is unable to match your complaint with an eligible survey issue on her end, she may not credit the points to your account. If you continue to speak with her regarding the issue, she will eventually create a ticket for our human team to look into, and we can then credit your account if necessary.

With only your first name in the survey police review, I am unable to pull up all the specifics, but we do realize that technology is not perfect, and we are constantly trying to refine the assistant to fix issues and make her more helpful. If you want to contact our human team directly for assistance with this survey, please email [email protected]

Users beware

February 27, 2019 by MATTHEW from United States

Users be careful about this company, I did not receive my 1099 form from One Opinion. When I inquired about this issue, they stated 1099 was sent in an email. Instead of One Opinion sending me another email containing 1099, "Customer Care" stated I have to hunt the form down through the outside issuing company myself. Thanks for nothing One Opinion!! Next step is filing a complaint with the BBB.

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for sharing your experience, and apologies for any frustrations you have had with our panel.

The point values for our surveys have always been based on the length and complexity of the survey. We do always try to keep these values in line with one another, but there can be times where some surveys will slip through the cracks. In these instances, we do always encourage members to reach out, so we can look into the specific surveys in question further, to see if adjustments need to be made, or if points need to be manually credited to member accounts.

Do note that surveys are currently limited. This is a very common occurrence at the beginning of the year, as our project teams as well as our clients are still working to get their marketing budgets lined up and approved for the 2019 year. Surveys should certainly pick up within the coming weeks, as they tend to trend towards year over year. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the lower survey numbers at this time.

If you would like to speak further about your survey experiences, or have anything else you'd like to address, don't hesitate to reach out to us via [email protected], or our Emily virtual assistant. We are always here to help.

Best,
-Alex P

RESPONSE TO RECENT UPDATE:

I apologize for any issues you experienced with your 1099 form. Unfortunately, with just your first name attached to your Survey Police review, I am unable to look into this in depth at this time. I know that 1099 forms were sent out several weeks ago via email, from our parent company, Critical Mix. Many participants had these incorrectly funneled to spam folders, so we were asking members to check there, but I am not familiar with any instance where we have told members to track their forms down from the issuing company. If participants have truly not received their forms, we have been very prompt in re-sending these via email.

If you would like to speak about this further, please write in to [email protected], I would be happy to more thoroughly investigate for you.

Best,
-Alex P
