Keep your Award Miles from Expiring

Another great feature of joining the Opinion Miles Club is keeping your MileagePlus award miles from expiring (each mile has a lifetime of 18 months). If you are actively completing surveys you will avoid this entirely, as new award miles will be deposited regularly into your account if you actively take surveys. This can mean never having to worry about losing your points balance to expiry, ever again.

Waste of time!

July 11, 2014 by Ike from United States

I was a member for more than a year and in the beginning earned 3500+ miles. Starting a few months back new survey offers became simply untrue. For example, tonight I got an email offering 152 miles in 5 min and after answering 10-12 multiple answer pre-survey questions I was offered 60 min for a 25 min survey. Same false promises over and over again. Unsubscribed. Not worth the time.

Stop after initial offer

May 10, 2014 by Dina from United States

Some months ago I received offer of 600 miles for "completing a survey." After filling out a lengthy profile and spending 10-15 minutes each on 5 different surveys that ultimately gave me the message that I didn't qualify, I did finally complete a survey and get the 600 pts. After reading mixed reviews, I tried an experiment and spent half an hour every day for two months. (I even tried changing my profile after a month to see if I could improve my odds. At this point, I have attempted over 100 surveys. 10 of these I made it to completion, although only 9 were credited. I got a total of 400 additional points in that two month period. Most often I was well into survey and answered tons of questions before they decided I didn't qualify for some reason. So, I figure I gave a total of 30 hours of my time for a total of 400 points over the past two months. I would consider that a prodigious waste of time. When I saw a review claiming they received 200 points a day I have to imagine that they are either faking this or faking data to qualify for surveys. Not a worthwhile pursuit unless you have a lot of spare time and high tolerance for frustration.

Big waste of time

January 10, 2018 by christine from United States

I understand that they have to screen people to make sure they meet the criteria for the specific market research being done, but to have someone spend 5-10 minutes on a survey only to be told they don't qualify---SEVEN TIMES IN A ROW---is a total waste of time. There should be some nominal mileage reward for participating in the screening process. How valid is this research going to be if people start answering questions just trying to qualify for surveys so their time isn't wasted? Or, if the only responses are from people who have nothing better to do but spend hours hoping to qualify for a survey and earn a few miles? Doesn't make the participant feel at all valued. Don't bother---it would be less trouble to buy your miles if you're just looking for some frequent flier miles.

Useful For Preventing Miles Expiration

April 15, 2015 by Ted from United States

I find Opinion Miles Club useful, to stop my frequent flier miles from expiring. I have a batch of miles I can't use at the moment, due to career.

As for using Opinion Miles Club to add to my mileage balance, I find it less useful, because I rarely qualify. There's the added frustration of being informed I don't qualify, and have earned nothing, after answering a lengthy series of often quite personal questions.

Also, sometimes surveys quit working, say, ten minutes into a twenty-minute survey. This discourages me from even clicking, on one of the many emails I receive from them.

I strongly prefer e-Rewards' partial credit for non-qualifiers, and higher reliability.

Legit but you better have patience

March 21, 2019 by Jeff from United States

Opinionmiles isn't a scam but you'll spend a lot of time providing tons of personal information only to get kicked off because they refuse to save your answers if they dont like how you've responded or they'll say this survey is not for you when you've already invested a lot of time. Other problem is they say you can earn 50 or 60 miles for a 10 or 15 minute survey only to find its twice as long. Surveys can be absurdly long or short. You can complain about it being an unfair poll but do it too often and they'll suspend you.
