Payment and Rewards

Take Surveys in Exchange for MileagePlus Award Miles

The Opinion Miles Club allows users to build up award miles that are directly deposited into their MileagePlus accounts in exchange for taking online surveys. The surveys can be on a variety of topics, from business, government to entertainment and take on average 10-15 minutes to complete. These surveys help companies make important future business decisions. The more surveys you complete, the more reward miles will be directly awarded to your account.

Earn 300 MileagePlus Miles for Completing your First Survey

After registering, you'll receive a lucrative bonus of 300 MileagePlus award miles that will be credited to your account after you complete your first survey.

Receive 600 MileagePlus Miles for Card or Premier Members!

An additional bonus for MileagePlus card members or Premier members is an impressive 600 bonus award given to members just for signing up and completing their first survey.

Community Features

Keep your Award Miles from Expiring

Another great feature of joining the Opinion Miles Club is keeping your MileagePlus award miles from expiring (each mile has a lifetime of 18 months). If you are actively completing surveys you will avoid this entirely, as new award miles will be deposited regularly into your account if you actively take surveys. This can mean never having to worry about losing your points balance to expiry, ever again.

Refer Friends!

Opinion Miles Club has a referral program in place to reward you for inviting friends and family. Simply log in to your account to invite referrals from your dashboard.

Online Survey Details

Each online survey typically awards 50-70 award miles. The amount of survey invitations vary with each individual member based on their demographics and the type of research being conducted at the time. Note that you should allow for up to 7 days for your points to show in your account.

Sweepstakes Opportunities

Periodically, the Opinion Miles Club will hold sweepstakes to show their appreciation for current panel members. You could win up to 100,000 MileagePlus Reward Miles!

Largely a waste of time

February 7, 2015 by Jan from United States

My introductory surveys went fine, and the miles posted right away, but even since it's been a different story. The email notifications are 'teasers' promising hundreds of miles for 5 or 10 minutes. But once you log on, it's usually a lot fewer miles for 20 or 30 minutes. Then, if you try the surveys, you end up spending a lot of time answering very specific questions only to be kicked out without credit because allegedly you "aren't the right demographic." Or the survey develops a mysterious fault that freezes it after you've given a half hour of answers, again with no miles crediting. Every now and then--about every eight or ten surveys--you can get one to complete. I think there are experiments with rats that show that if you give rats a reward of chow randomly every eight or nine times they press a lever, they'll keep pressing. I guess I don't need the chow badly enough, because I'm not wasting my time pressing anymore on this survey club.

Run!!! Complete waste time

December 20, 2014 by Kevin from United States

Every survey has the same results: twenty minutes into a thirty minute survey you are then notified that you are not a match. This company is making money by getting twenty minutes of free survey time.

Do join to get any signing bonus. But once the miles are posted, RUN!!!!

Complete waste of time

Bait and switch repeatedly. Plus, they collect information for 20 or more minutes, then say "not a match" or conveniently develop a technical glitch so that you can't complete the survey.

The help desk is beyond frustrating, work off of a script and seem incapable of addressing any problem. The only thing they "help" with is to issue the same stock response and refuse to put one in touch with a supervisor.

This is, by far, one of the absolute worst survey sites ever!

Biggest Rip-Off ever

April 14, 2014 by Doug from United States

This is the worst bait-and-switch I have ever seen on the internet. You get an email that advertises something like "300 miles for 10 minutes". You click on the link and it is then "200 miles for 30 minutes". You spend 15 minutes answering intrusive questions about personal things, and it then usually says "you do not qualify" (but it has all your personal information). Or if you do "qualify" you spend another 25 minutes answering questions, only to be told near the end that "you do not qualify" and it bounces you off. I am really surprised that a reputable airline would put their name behind this. It is awful. Stay away.

Opinion Miles Club is Horrible

April 10, 2014 by Thomas from United States

This is by far the worst survey scheme I've encountered. The person that noted it is a fools errand is exactly right. I filled out the sign up qualifiers and I did get the miles offered. However I've never received one mile since. Sometimes they will qualify you for a survey and then simply cut it off in the middle. You might spend 15 minutes on it and get nothing. It seems as if they get an answer they think the sponsor won't like they cut you off in the middle. Forget the Opinion Miles Club. You'll just waste a lot of time and end up with nothing.

I also believe the two reviewers that say "I don't know why the other reviewers don't like this." are likely employees (or owners) of the Opinion Miles Club. Those two reviews sound disingenuous. And note that they are both within a few days of the reviews they comment on. HAHA.
