Share Your Opinions to Earn Rewards

Opinion Outpost gives everyday consumers the opportunities to participate in online surveys and product tests in exchange for cash rewards and gift cards.

Signing up is free and to do so, simply enter your name, date of birth, zip code and email address on the registration form on their website. After that, you’ll be prompted to confirm your email address before you’re able to begin answering surveys.

Take Surveys and More

Once you've fully registered, you’ll see a “Surveys” link on your main account dashboard. This will take you to your list of available surveys. You can choose to have surveys emailed to you if you prefer.

You also have the option to add additional information (via profile surveys) to help Opinion Outpost match you with more relevant surveys to you.

Sign up with Opinion Outpost to take paid surveys and complete product testing assignments in exchange for rewards. Simply join the site for free and receive invitations to complete online surveys on your computer or mobile device.

You don't have to wait long to get rewarded - if you take a survey worth 50 points, you'll already have enough to redeem a $5 Amazon.com gift card. The following reward options are offered on the site in exchange for participating:

• PayPal payments - with only 100 points (worth $10/£5), you can request that a PayPal payment be made to your account. Bear in mind that only verified PayPal accounts will qualify for payment.
• Amazon e-vouchers - with just 50 points ($5) in your account, you can request an Amazon.com e-gift code.
• Apple Store gift cards - with 100 points ($10) sitting in your account, you can request an app store / iTunes gift card.
• Retail gift cards - with 100 points ($10) in your account, you can receive a gift card to Nike, Domino’s Pizza, The Home Depot, CVS, Chili’s 3-Choice and more.
• Visa prepaid cards - with 100 points ($10) in your account, you can purchase a virtual Visa prepaid card to spend online or add to your smartphone app for offline spending.

Note that rewards will vary slightly by country. For example, Air Miles Reward Miles are available to Canadian members only (receive 50 Air Miles for 100 Opinion Outpost points).

Super-Fast Rewards Delivery

Opinion Outpost is very unique in that rewards are often delivered instantly after requesting them. It's uncommon to have to wait more than a few minutes/hours to receive a PayPal payment or e-gift card that you've requested, though technically they advertise a 3 day rewards processing period.

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Modern, Interactive Surveys

Opinion Outpost offers fun, interactive online surveys that are attractive and simple to take. On top of offering sweepstakes entries, periodically, they offer games at the end of surveys which give you the opportunity to win additional points and/or additional sweepstakes entries. One such game is called the Opinion Outpost Door Game.

Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Badges

Opinion Output offers ‘Badges’, which essentially serve as loyalty bonuses. You will start out with a Bronze membership and have the chance to upgrade to Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond based on how active you are on the website and how complete your profile is.

As your badge levels increase, additional achievement points are awarded, which can be found on your Survey History page. These will show up as 'community achievement'. Bear in mind that you can be downgraded to a lower tier badge if you don’t remain active on the website.

Quarterly Chances to Win $10,000

If you are in the USA and you get disqualified from a survey, participate in a survey, or exchange your valuable points for an entry, you will have a chance to win $10,000 in a quarterly cash draw. That means that $40,000 in total is awarded to 4 lucky members every year! If you are in Canada, there are also sweepstakes available in the form of 4 quarterly draws worth $1,250 each ($5,000 yearly).

Refer Your Friends to Earn More

Opinion Outpost's referral program will award you $1.00 every time you refer a friend using your custom link and they complete at least one survey. Earn up to $5.00 in total. Find the "refer a friend" tab when you log into your account to grab your custom referral link to share with friends or extended family members (available to US panelists only).

Is Opinion Outpost Legit?

Opinion Outpost is over a decade old and is a legitimate survey site that pays approximately $5 million dollars in rewards to its members every year. Opinion Outpost is not a scam, though as with any survey program, your experience and success with the site may vary. The site does not sell information to third parties (as per their commitment to adhering to market research standards), and is a safe and legit website.

I joined a tobacco study with Opinion Outpost. They allowed me to log into the study everyday for about 2.5 weeks, promising 4 points each time. I was only notified that I did not quality, a few days ago when I inquired about not being able to log into the study. This is just an excuse not to reward me. Opinion Outpost is not a reliable panel.

Used to be good with a quick payout to PayPal and a low threshold of $10. Now, Opinion Outpost sometimes lets you get completely through a survey and then disqualifies you or they send you offers and you don't qualify. I've sat at 58 points ($5.80) for months now and can't proceed to a cash out.
Got an email today (Dec 26, 2016) about updated terms and the threshold seems to be going up to $50. I don't see it yet on the "redeem" page, but I figure it's changing and am canceling.
Don't waste your time or inbox space.
I previously reviewed with 5 stars: Have had a account at OO for a few months and have made $30. Just had an issue about cashing out which was supposedly automatically being looked into, but it took email and a Facebook post to get results. Paid out today to Paypal 20 minutes after request.

I wish it didn't seem to steal some survey opportunities from Opinion World though. Not good to have accounts with both it seems. Make money on one but not the other.

Recommended. Oh, if you have cash out issues, try another browser. They'd suggested using Chrome, which is what I was using anyway, so I tried IE10 and cashed out worked like it was supposed to. (Chrome worked in February though??)

Update: I was on Opinion Outpost for about a year but suddenly couldn't log in. I did not receive any email notices. After several phone calls, I received an email stating that I had more than one account.
I have one PayPal account and one ISP address. I did not set up multiple accounts and resent being told that I did. I strongly advise against depending on Survey Sampling surveys for reliable income.

This review no longer applies:
I love Opinion Outpost. There's no waiting for surveys to be approved. Points can be converted to cash immediately upon reaching $10. They pay cash through PayPal. I get notified that the funds are in PayPal within seconds of requesting them. No waiting for approvals, no waiting days for funds to be transferred, just cold hard cash. The customer service folks are outstanding. I locked myself out of my account. They restored the account and the points that were already in it. My go to site.

When I first joined a couple of months back they were excellent. Surveys came thick and fast, surveys where very interesting and my rewards came through instantly.

Over the last few weeks it's gone from bad to worse. I have completed surveys only to not have points registered or at the very end (yes 100% at the end) get frozen out. More and more surveys do this.

When you write to customer services they simply fobb you off with excuses and basically put the blame on you.

Either they have slipped into the 'lets rip people off' routine like many other survey sites or they have a technical problem that they are not acknowledging.

I see more and more people are complaining about the same issues (see surveypolice).

I am seriously fed up with having my time stolen from me with no reward.

They need to get back on track or they'll just end up with a 'scam' reputation which is a shame as I really thought they were genuine & honest.

As it it is at the moment my advice is avoid them.

When I signed up with Opinion Outpost, I had hoped for a good experience, but that is not what I got. It didn't take long, maybe a couple of weeks, for them to block me out of my account with them with no explanation. I had to email them over and over to ask for a reason why they would do that. In the end, all they would say is that I had done something inappropriate and illegible. They would never explain what it was. I would never, ever write anything inappropriate or illegible (except for common typos). They said they deleted my account and deleted any points I had accrued. So, I would not recommend joining this survey site. It was a waste of my time.
