Opinion Outpost gives everyday consumers the opportunities to participate in online surveys and product tests in exchange for cash rewards and gift cards.

Signing up is free and to do so, simply enter your name, date of birth, zip code and email address on the registration form on their website. After that, you’ll be prompted to confirm your email address before you’re able to begin answering surveys.

Take Surveys and More

Once you've fully registered, you’ll see a “Surveys” link on your main account dashboard. This will take you to your list of available surveys. You can choose to have surveys emailed to you if you prefer.

You also have the option to add additional information (via profile surveys) to help Opinion Outpost match you with more relevant surveys to you.

Sign up with Opinion Outpost to take paid surveys and complete product testing assignments in exchange for rewards. Simply join the site for free and receive invitations to complete online surveys on your computer or mobile device.

You don't have to wait long to get rewarded - if you take a survey worth 50 points, you'll already have enough to redeem a $5 Amazon.com gift card. The following reward options are offered on the site in exchange for participating:

• PayPal payments - with only 100 points (worth $10/£5), you can request that a PayPal payment be made to your account. Bear in mind that only verified PayPal accounts will qualify for payment.
• Amazon e-vouchers - with just 50 points ($5) in your account, you can request an Amazon.com e-gift code.
• Apple Store gift cards - with 100 points ($10) sitting in your account, you can request an app store / iTunes gift card.

Super-Fast Rewards Delivery

Opinion Outpost is very unique in that rewards are often delivered instantly after requesting them. It's uncommon to have to wait more than a few minutes/hours to receive a PayPal payment or e-gift card that you've requested, though technically they advertise a 3 day rewards processing period.

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Badges

Opinion Output offers ‘Badges’, which essentially serve as loyalty bonuses. You will start out with a Bronze membership and have the chance to upgrade to Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond based on how active you are on the website and how complete your profile is.

As your badge levels increase, additional achievement points are awarded, which can be found on your Survey History page. These will show up as 'community achievement'. Bear in mind that you can be downgraded to a lower tier badge if you don’t remain active on the website.

Quarterly Chances to Win $10,000

If you are in the USA and you get disqualified from a survey, participate in a survey, or exchange your valuable points for an entry, you will have a chance to win $10,000 in a quarterly cash draw. That means that $40,000 in total is awarded to 4 lucky members every year! If you are in Canada, there are also sweepstakes available in the form of 4 quarterly draws worth $1,250 each ($5,000 yearly).

Refer Your Friends to Earn More

Opinion Outpost's referral program will award you $1.00 every time you refer a friend using your custom link and they complete at least one survey. Earn up to $5.00 in total. Find the "refer a friend" tab when you log into your account to grab your custom referral link to share with friends or extended family members (available to US panelists only).

Is Opinion Outpost Legit?

After reaching $13.50 I decided to cashout but forgot that I was signed into my business Paypal account instead of my personal and so my account became frozen. I contacted customer support and explained the situation via e-mail and didn't receive a reply again regarding the situation until Thank Giving Day

Thank you for contacting Customer Support regarding your frozen account.

Our Accounts Department has finished reviewing your account. They found that your account is linked to more than two other accounts. This is a violation of our Terms and Conditions as it states there is only one account per person and two accounts per household allowed on our survey site. Unfortunately, we cannot activate your account at this time.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

I don't have a 2nd account or a 2nd household member and I can't cashout my $13.50 from Opinion Outpost. My advice would be to stay far away from these guys, terrible customer support service that takes days to reply and a surveys that will seldomly offer you no incentive but instead Prize Tickets. It took OpinonOutpost 5 days on Thanks Giving to let me know that I couldn't cashout my $13.50, be warned!!!

I LOVED this site at first. Most consistent survey offerings. Quick, well-written, fun surveys. Accumulated points quickly. And then one day, it just went all down hill. I qualified for a survey where I had to keep a diary for a week about different wipes (baby wipes, Lysol wipes, etc) that I used through the week. I was told that I would receive $20 (200 points) in my account on November 5. I faithfully completed my diary and the follow up survey, but I did not receive my compensation. I emailed them to ask what happened and never got a reply. So, they cheated me there. In addition to that, in the last two weeks, I have barely qualified for a survey, but not after I spend a good 10-15 minutes giving them answers, only to learn at the end that what I was filling out all along wasn't the actual survey and that I didn't qualify. For example, I just finished a survey about travel about ten minutes ago. I went into detail about the three most recent trips I have taken, how much I spent on accommodations, travel, shopping and food, and identified what types of attractions I visited in each place. I spent a LONG time on what I thought was a survey. After at least 15 minutes (was probably longer), they got all the answers they wanted and then I was sent back to my account page without being given the 15 points I was promised. So, they'll lure you in at first by giving you a good experience and then they'll turn on you take your time and answers and won't compensate you for them. This wasn't a one-time thing. It has happened regularly, and more frequently, over the past couple of weeks. Don't waste your time. Or just spend a few weeks on this site and move on before they change their tune.

I was a member of Opinion Outpost for over a year and I loved it. Recently, I signed in, took a few surveys (as USUAL), did not rush through them, did not lie, and cashed out $10 that I had saved up all week. Tried to sign in later that day and was unable to. A pop-up instead told me that my account was FROZEN?! No warning, no reason - NOTHING!! Terrible company and worthless customer service. I'm so glad I cashed out everything right before they randomly decided to freeze my account. I emailed customer service and they didn't even reply. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS SITE!!! They will freeze your account for no reason at all and won't even warn you ahead of time. I've seen others with this same problem and trust me - they're not lying. This site doesn't care about it's users and doesn't care about you! They've been giving out less chances for users to redeem rewards, too. There used to be a cute little game you could play and some simple surveys you could do to earn a few cents, but not anymore! Gone, gone gone. Just like I am with this site. :) Seriously - don't waste your time. You'll be lucky if you can even cash out with this company.

Like most, i have been a member of Opinion Outpost for a long time. I started taking surveys with them in the middle of 2013 and they were awesome.

However, over the past year they have continuously gone downhill. Now many surveys take a while before they "screen you out" because they have enough people. On top of that many surveys list incorrect times that it take as many take double that amount of time to complete.

My advice is if you do join this panel is complain to the BBB alot when they do not credit you, or say "unable to record participation." The hubris of this company is ridiculous and the only way to get them to change is to go elsewhere to much better sites.

Check out the forum to see other people's recommendations, but stay far away from these guys.
