Survey Taking Experience

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Modern, Interactive Surveys

Opinion Outpost offers fun, interactive online surveys that are attractive and simple to take. On top of offering sweepstakes entries, periodically, they offer games at the end of surveys which give you the opportunity to win additional points and/or additional sweepstakes entries. One such game is called the Opinion Outpost Door Game.

Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Never qualify!!!

January 21, 2014 by Jon from United States

I joined this site three weeks ago. At first I qualified all the time, and in several weeks had almost $45 in Amazon gift cards. But then it suddenly stopped. I never qualify anymore. I try over 10 surveys a day, and haven't qualified for one the past 8 days in a row!!!! Quick hit, and then you are done. I will even do 10 minutes worth of questions, including product review and everything, and then when the survey is completed it tell me "you didn't qualify"!!! What??? I answered every question including how often i use the product, and what i thought about it. I even watched an advertising clip from the company and reviewed the pro's and con's of it for them. And in the end it said i didn't qualify. I am now being used to complete surveys, but get no credit for them in the end. BEWARE!!!! This company will take advantage of you!!! There are MANY good survey sites, but this one you need to avoid like a disease!!!

Want your business or work telephone number

January 16, 2014 by K from United States

I have been with this survey company for 7 long years (I joined around 11/27/2007). I stayed with OpinionOupost for so long despite the technical errors and the disqualifications that usually take place 20 to 25 minutes into the surveys. I'm a very patient person and not the kind of individual that complaint for the sake of complaining. But the last straw is the fact that this company is now requiring business or work telephone number to verify "data". They actually want to call you at work! How do you explain to your boss or supervisor that you are taking a personal call from some survey company while you are on company time? So far I have refused to provide that information and in response I get a message that I should update my member profile. OpinionOutpost claims that providing a business or work telephone number is voluntary, and yet, I cannot complete the "Professional Profile" unless I provide those numbers. Here's the exact same message that they use to request your business or work telephone number:

" *SSI would like to collect your business or work telephone number. Please do not provide your residential phone numbers in this space. In addition to any other uses set forth in SSI’s Privacy Policy, SSI may use the business or work telephone number you voluntarily provide to call you to verify the data provided on this page. SSI is respectful of your time and will try to keep the verification process short."

1/15/2014 - Today I closed my account. I simply stopped getting surveys invitations when I refused to provide a work phone number. Those folks at OpinionOutpost are insane if they think I am going to take a call from them at work and risk getting fired. And even if I were to get permissions from my superiors to receive such call, I would not feel comfortable giving that information to a survey company.

Not good

January 12, 2014 by Don from United States

It would appear to me that this company gets as much information from you that they can before popping the message up "We're sorry that you didn't qualify for this survey." There are a lot of companies out there doing this now. They don't want honest opinions about anything. They want all of the information they can get from you for free. I would avoid. I canceled my account.

Unethical

January 7, 2014 by John from United States

Freezes accounts when trying to cash out. You constantly get the run around from customer service representatives when calling or send a support ticket. In addition takes unreasonable amounts of time for problems concerning your account o be resolved.Very poor customer service.

Started out but after 3 days they froze my account

January 1, 2014 by sheryl from United States

I've only been doing surveys with them for 2 weeks and cashed out 200 points but they froze my account for "data concerns". I was able to get it unfrozen after 4 days, they said don't click so fast... huh? So I should be slower at taking surveys? I took a long survey 4 days ago worth 40 points, spent over 30 minutes on it and no points were credited? I took the whole survey. I emailed them and was told I was credited..... I had 83 points when my started and still had them when it completed so how was I credited? More and more surveys ask you 10 minutes worth of questions and tell you don't qualify and after the email about not being credited they stopped sending me surveys. Meh, I'm done.
