Opinion Outpost gives everyday consumers the opportunities to participate in online surveys and product tests in exchange for cash rewards and gift cards.

Signing up is free and to do so, simply enter your name, date of birth, zip code and email address on the registration form on their website. After that, you’ll be prompted to confirm your email address before you’re able to begin answering surveys.

Take Surveys and More

Once you've fully registered, you’ll see a “Surveys” link on your main account dashboard. This will take you to your list of available surveys. You can choose to have surveys emailed to you if you prefer.

You also have the option to add additional information (via profile surveys) to help Opinion Outpost match you with more relevant surveys to you.

You don't have to wait long to get rewarded - if you take a survey worth 50 points, you'll already have enough to redeem a $5 Amazon.com gift card. The following reward options are offered on the site in exchange for participating:

• PayPal payments - with only 100 points (worth $10/£5), you can request that a PayPal payment be made to your account. Bear in mind that only verified PayPal accounts will qualify for payment.
• Amazon e-vouchers - with just 50 points ($5) in your account, you can request an Amazon.com e-gift code.
• Apple Store gift cards - with 100 points ($10) sitting in your account, you can request an app store / iTunes gift card.

Super-Fast Rewards Delivery

Opinion Outpost is very unique in that rewards are often delivered instantly after requesting them. It's uncommon to have to wait more than a few minutes/hours to receive a PayPal payment or e-gift card that you've requested, though technically they advertise a 3 day rewards processing period.

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Badges

Opinion Output offers ‘Badges’, which essentially serve as loyalty bonuses. You will start out with a Bronze membership and have the chance to upgrade to Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond based on how active you are on the website and how complete your profile is.

As your badge levels increase, additional achievement points are awarded, which can be found on your Survey History page. These will show up as 'community achievement'. Bear in mind that you can be downgraded to a lower tier badge if you don’t remain active on the website.

Quarterly Chances to Win $10,000

If you are in the USA and you get disqualified from a survey, participate in a survey, or exchange your valuable points for an entry, you will have a chance to win $10,000 in a quarterly cash draw. That means that $40,000 in total is awarded to 4 lucky members every year! If you are in Canada, there are also sweepstakes available in the form of 4 quarterly draws worth $1,250 each ($5,000 yearly).

Refer Your Friends to Earn More

Opinion Outpost's referral program will award you $1.00 every time you refer a friend using your custom link and they complete at least one survey. Earn up to $5.00 in total. Is Opinion Outpost Legit?

I wish I would have read the online reviews before even bothering with Opinion Outpost. I’ve tried faithfully for two months and have literally spent hours taking surveys only to be told at the end that I don’t qualify.

The final straw happened last week when I followed a link they emailed to me and spent 40 minutes on a survey, got to the end, was told I was finished and to click “submit” to get my points (50+20 bonus points) only to get some weird error screen. I’ve been emailing Opinion Outpost customer service and they refuse to credit me the points. They say they’ve investigated it and found I was not qualified for the survey. This is a complete lie. They actually had the nerve to say those 40 minutes of questions were qualifying questions...yeah right.

I have 89 points and was trying to get to 100 points to cash out and be done with it, but they won’t let me get to 100 points, and I can’t waste anymore time trying. They are taking the survey results from all of us after they say we're not qualified and selling the data and are making pure profit!

Do not join this survey panel. They surveys are long, boring and most of the time you don't even qualify. I have points in my account now that they will not allow me to cash out.

Okay! I am so fed up with this company. I have been a member for some time now, 6 months to be exact, and for the first 3 months everything went well. I qualified for almost every survey that I received. Once I started making around $5-10 dollars every 2-3 days, averaging about $20 a week, on my good days/weeks, this is when I started to notice a BIG difference in the surveys. I would get a survey, and then it would kick me out before I could even start the survey. Sometimes I would even get to the end of a survey and then it would tell me that I did not meet the criteria!!! REALLY? I used to love this survey site, but it SUCKS now. A BIG P.O.S! I am sorry, I had to throw that in there! I am furious right now. They have frozen my account now for the second time, for data concerns? I have been taking these surveys at the same pace since I started with this company. I have made over $300 with them, and now they want to freeze my account. You cannot be serious. The only time that I do click through fast is when they ask for age,location, and such because there is not much to read. I personally would not waste time with this site. They have really taken a drastic fall since I started out with them, and event their rewards are getting crappier. I took a survey last night for 40 minutes, for 35 points, then it kicked me out at then end of the survey! So, basically they got all of my information and TIME, BUT DID NOT PAY ME! I am so done with this company.

I have been with opinion outpost for 2 years. It has gotten worse and worse over time. However, since late fall 2012/early winter 2013 it has just been ridiculous. Over and over again you fill out surveys and complete them and you get disqualified at the end or you are told that they are enough answers like yours. Often you cannot cash out. For example, since August 13th, I and other have not been able to cash out through Paypal. We get a message that says it may take up to a week to investigate. That should be something they have IT working on around the clock. Makes it seem like they are having financial issues or that monies are not being use appropriately.

Also, there are many times when you don't get your points right away. you then have to contact the help desk. They may get back to you, but you are told that you will get your points in 3-4 weeks once they verify your answers. FYI, it means they hope you forget (shady). When you follow up they know nothing about the initial problems. Then you just took a survey that they got paid for and you got nothing. I must send at least 5 or more emails to the help desk a day. There are always problems. If I had as many problems and complaints as them I would have been fired.

they do quite a few OTX. downgraded my opinion. After many good years of surveys this company went downhill! Too many surveys that disqualified or errored after 20 or so minutes. Points per survey took a nose-dive as well. Just isn't worth it.
