Opinion Outpost gives everyday consumers the opportunities to participate in online surveys and product tests in exchange for cash rewards and gift cards.

Signing up is free and to do so, simply enter your name, date of birth, zip code and email address on the registration form on their website. After that, you’ll be prompted to confirm your email address before you’re able to begin answering surveys.

Take Surveys and More

Once you've fully registered, you’ll see a “Surveys” link on your main account dashboard. This will take you to your list of available surveys. You can choose to have surveys emailed to you if you prefer.

You also have the option to add additional information (via profile surveys) to help Opinion Outpost match you with more relevant surveys to you.

You don't have to wait long to get rewarded - if you take a survey worth 50 points, you'll already have enough to redeem a $5 Amazon.com gift card. The following reward options are offered on the site in exchange for participating:

• PayPal payments - with only 100 points (worth $10/£5), you can request that a PayPal payment be made to your account. Bear in mind that only verified PayPal accounts will qualify for payment.
• Amazon e-vouchers - with just 50 points ($5) in your account, you can request an Amazon.com e-gift code.
• Apple Store gift cards - with 100 points ($10) sitting in your account, you can request an app store / iTunes gift card.

Super-Fast Rewards Delivery

Opinion Outpost is very unique in that rewards are often delivered instantly after requesting them. It's uncommon to have to wait more than a few minutes/hours to receive a PayPal payment or e-gift card that you've requested, though technically they advertise a 3 day rewards processing period.

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Modern, Interactive Surveys

Opinion Outpost offers fun, interactive online surveys that are attractive and simple to take. On top of offering sweepstakes entries, periodically, they offer games at the end of surveys which give you the opportunity to win additional points and/or additional sweepstakes entries. Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Badges

Opinion Output offers ‘Badges’, which essentially serve as loyalty bonuses. You will start out with a Bronze membership and have the chance to upgrade to Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond based on how active you are on the website and how complete your profile is.

As your badge levels increase, additional achievement points are awarded, which can be found on your Survey History page. These will show up as 'community achievement'. Bear in mind that you can be downgraded to a lower tier badge if you don’t remain active on the website.

Quarterly Chances to Win $10,000

If you are in the USA and you get disqualified from a survey, participate in a survey, or exchange your valuable points for an entry, you will have a chance to win $10,000 in a quarterly cash draw. That means that $40,000 in total is awarded to 4 lucky members every year! If you are in Canada, there are also sweepstakes available in the form of 4 quarterly draws worth $1,250 each ($5,000 yearly).

Refer Your Friends to Earn More

Opinion Outpost's referral program will award you $1.00 every time you refer a friend using your custom link and they complete at least one survey. Earn up to $5.00 in total. Find the "refer a friend" tab when you log into your account to grab your custom referral link to share with friends or extended family members (available to US panelists only).

Is Opinion Outpost Legit?

Opinion Outpost is over a decade old and is a legitimate survey site that pays approximately $5 million dollars in rewards to its members every year. I have been a member of OO for quite some time,always very satisfied w not only surveys I received, but w customer service,and payouts as well. In the past 2 months however,this site has gone way down in my view. I get an average of 8 surveys a day, only to be led to the "check back later/update profile" page. Not only is my profile up to date, but I am pretty quick in responding to survey invites! I have posted on the FB page, only to see post not answered or removed. This was my top site for a long long time, and I bragged about how great it was. No more. It is no better than its sister site, Survey Spot, which I left due to the same issues. I do hope they get back to being a great site again, and soon.

Have been a member for 2 1/2 years and this had been my favorite but now I am getting tired of them wasting my time. It seems more and more that you finish a complete survey and then they tell you that they have reached the maximum answers for this survey. Sometimes you have spent 20-25 minutes completing survey for nothing. If you complain they give you the same answer each time about trying to close survey as soon as they have reached max but obviously they are not doing a very good job.

At first, I was able to cash out on a regular basis. To me this panel has changed. If I get a survey it is for 5 points or maybe 10. I can tell that things have changed with them Heck, I have cashed out more in the last 2 weeks with one of their sister sites than I have with them in the last 3 weeks. The site that I am in referring to you need 1000 points but I get them quickly because they actually have surveys available. Their surveys to me are for everybody. I am single with no kids at home and I get more surveys from this site than any other site. It pays $10.00 for 1000 points. I got a survey on yesterday worth 450 points and I had just cashed out last Thursday. I don't get kicked out after spending 5 minutes in a survey only to find out I don't qualify. If you are in then you are in and if you are not you are not. By this Thursday I will be able to cash out again. Opinion Outpost use to be my favorite but no longer are. If you are still getting surveys you are one of the lucky ones. At this point, with only 36 points, once I reach payout, that is it. It is beginning to be a total waste of my time. Don't know what has happened to this site, but I go where I can get good quality surveys, and I will know immediately that I do or do not qualify. If I see another Update your profile from Opinion Outpost when there is nothing to update, I am going to scream. I prefer 1000 points for $10.00 and get surveys, than 100 points and get barely anything.

It started out well with this site, but then got kind of crappy. I used to get quite a few surveys that I was qualified for. Now I might be qualified 2 out of every 10 surveys I try to qualify for. Some of the surveys are for prizes only; not a good incentive for me to take a "5 minute" survey (which in actuality turns out to be 10 minutes). After a while, it starts asking you a million questions before you can even try to take a survey, which is the most annoying part of this site. You can still make a good killing off this site, but it gets exponentially more frustrating the farther along you go.

I am happy to this this is one of my favorites - They are 100% legit, EVERY single survey has a cash incentive ranging from $1.50 to $12.00 - sometimes more - most are $2-$5, sometimes you get $18 ones. I get a dozen ore more per month, and easily make $20-$40 per month - have always received my checks on time, very nice to deal with and honest !

I must edit this review as I do not feel SSI deserves 5 stars Ever since
SSI has acquired OpinionOutpost, the incentives have been significantly cut and the frequency of survey invitations as well.

The amount of bad links, off quota, expired/closed surveys and surveys that mysteriously kick you out at 50-75% sometimes 90% are alarmingly high. To me this is very questionable.
The frequency of surveys have significantly been reduced over the years as well as the quality.

They do however pay instantly to your PayPal, although their minimum to cash out is $10, which is excessive given the survey inventory is low and frequency of said surveys has been reduced, it could take a while to accumulate the $10.
They are not the worst, but they have gone from best TOP to being below average.
