Global Test Market is an online survey panel operated by GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.), now owned by Lightspeed Research. Global Test Market has approximately 5.5 million members across 200 different countries. For every successful web survey completion, members earn MarketPoints redeemable for cash. 1 point = approximately $0.05
Not as good as they were now that they have mostly eliminated the 5 point (25 cent) DQ payments. Sometimes they offer OTX surveys, but just shut them down...notice OTX has removed their garish logo from their newer surveys, but they look the same and use OTX in the address bar, so recognize them for the scam mongers they are and avoid. Otherwise I tend to pick and choose which surveys to do here. I always get the correct credit and cash out has never been a problem. Survey taking is more of a feel thing...the more you do the better you get at it and you learn to avoid certain survey types that show up routinely and lead nowhere, helping to eliminate frustration.
I just recently got an invitation from Global Test Market, to take a survey, and was to receive 35 Market points for my time. I completed the survey. At the end of the survey, I got a screen which said
I have 490 points with them. As soon as I reach 1,000 points and get my check, I'll be hitting the unsubscribe button. I am worried after reading all the reviews that I will never see my $50.00. Most of the people on here are saying that when they tried to cash out they claimed fraudulent activity on their account or were not able to log in. Basically never received their money from taking surveys. It takes to long to accumulate points with them. I just came from there site and I had 490 points now I have 450 points for some reason.
i have been on 850 points for about 10 months now, i recieve about 12 invitations per week, none of which have ever given me points that were stated for completing the surveys, today i just spent 20 minutes (doing a so-called 15 minute survey!) when i was at 98% i was told 'unfortunately you are incompatible' so i complain to GTM and recieved this reply:-
The screening process depends on different requirements for each study. An example could be that you were not using the brand for which the study was looking for. Unfortunately the point of the screening process depends mostly on our clients
You used to get 5 points if you did not qualify for a survey. Now you get a sweepstakes entry. I get tons of invitations for sweepstakes entries but not many for actual points and the ones I do I rarely qualify.I use to be able to cash out several times a year for $50 but now I will be lucky if I cashout at all this year. They use to be one of the best but not anymore. Unless you don't care about the incentives stay away. It is just not worth the time anymore.
