Beginning March 30, 2020, Harris Poll Online USA stopped offering new survey opportunities. Existing members from the USA may redeem any existing account balances up to one year from the date points were credited to their accounts. The Canadian version of the panel is still operational.

Harris poll is one of the oldest and most prestigious polls in the world, operating for more than 45 years with a focus on the US and Canadian market. Have your say on matters that affect you and see the results from the surveys you complete. You can compare experiences, opinions and more to people who are both like and unlike you. Occasionally, the studies you contribute to will be published in national and international media outlets. The Harris Poll is a member of the National Council of Public Polls (NCPP), the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO), the Council for Marketing and Opinion Research (CMOR), and the European Society for Opinion & Marketing Research (ESOMAR).

Electronic Rewards

Harris Poll offers their members the opportunity to earn points, known as HIpoints in exchange for their participation. Once you earn 1250 points (worth $10), you can request an e-gift voucher from places like Amazon, iTunes, Starbucks, Walmart, ESPN, and more. You may also be entered into sweepstakes after each completed survey for even more chances of winning big.

Get Disqualified, But Still Have a Chance to Win!

If you attempt to complete a survey, but are disqualified in the process, you will receive an entry into the Harris Panel Sweepstakes. You will be also be offered the opportunity to try qualifying for other available surveys.

Survey Lengths

Online surveys typically take anywhere between 5-25 minutes to complete. Short surveys will take around 5 minutes, and very long ones are around 25 minutes. These reasonable survey lengths will keep your attention and prevent you from getting bored too quickly! There are special surveys on offer as well including special focus groups, telephone based surveys, and even surveys about independently downloaded software. Common survey topics, however, range from fashion to movies to shopping habits.

Participate Often

Expect to receive between 3-5 online surveys a month.

Earn Points

Even if you are disqualified from completing a survey, expect to receive around 15 HIpoints! The amount of points you get per survey varies depending on the length or complexity of the survey.

Download the App!

Harris Poll now has an app, available on iOS and Android. The mobile apps will require you to login with your Harris credentials. Using the app allows you to see survey opportunities, take surveys, participate in special research programs and access your rewards. Turn on your notification settings for the app to receive new survey opportunities in real time.

Cashing Out

After you have reached 1250 points, you are able to redeem your HIpoints for e-cards and gift vouchers. Most people who participate, reach this threshold after completing around 10 surveys. Rewards include e-cards or gift vouchers from Amazon, iTunes, Starbucks and more.

Rewards Processing Times

Redeem your rewards and receive them within 15 business days. They will be sent to your e-mail account. Most rewards will be credited to your account within 10 minutes of your participation, but occasionally it may take as long as 24 hours for the credit to appear in your account. If you are redeeming your HIpoints, you will receive your e-code within 24-48 hours of cashing in your HIpoints. If you have cashed in for physical merchandise, you will receive your merchandise via USPS within 7-14 business days. All costs of rewards (including shipping and handling) are covered by Harris Poll, unless you are redeeming products using an e-certificate.

Chances to Win $10,000 Every Quarter

HarrisPoll gives away a $10,000 USD prize every quarter to one lucky winner in their Histakes - the Harris Poll Online Sweepstakes. You earn an entry if you have been disqualified for surveys, as well as for actions like participating in short surveys that may not award points. Winners names are published on the HIstakes winners page and this list is kept up to date.

Additional Review on Non-Existent Customer "Support"

March 2, 2017 by Marybeth from United States

This site is getting worse by the day. I have contacted support no less than 6 times since 2/8/17 regarding the ShopTracker update that I have not received my 300 points for. I keep getting form emails back advising me to "wait 24-48 hours for points to appear". So, it's actually been 648 hours as of today. Pretty sure I have their two day time frame covered. Will wait till I get to my next award level, then I am gone. Too many other LEGIT sites out there to be dealing with this hot mess.

Quitting Harris Poll!

February 21, 2017 by Deborah from United States

If I could give them a minus grade it would be a minus five for FFFFF!

Well, today is the day I finally quit this survey site. When I first joined things went along well with no problems but for some time now issues keep coming up and the last one was the last straw. And the sad part is that they don't seem to care. And I will be letting them know how I feel and that I left his review on this site. The last straw issue was I was due points for a survey I took IN DECEMBER 2016. I have been writing and writing and the first response I got was, oh, sorry if you have been trying to contact us. Please write back on this ticket - don't open a one. So I replied to the e/mail. I looked and looked on the site for a place that would let me respond to the ticket # assigned to the case but nothing so, hence, I sent the email. Again no response. And for the record I keep track of every survey I take with notes and sent those along with the new request I made. So each time I reached out to them with this I sent my notes along with it stating that I can't find anything on the site to respond to an open ticket so opening a new one, along with the new ticket number(s) and the only response I have been receiving the last three times is "that it can take up to 24 to 48 hrs to receive pts for a completed survey. And even though my notes keep saying this is from DECEMBER they keep saying the same thing. So, they are either ignoring me and hoping I go away or they have lousy people working for them who don't care and/or don't read the requests or whatever. So, I am quitting and giving up my 200+ pts for I don't have the time to waste with them. And the other sad part is I don't think they care. They have plenty of other panelists so they just go along their merry way. And remember, this is only one of the issues I have with them as my dealings with them just keep getting worse and worse. Again, if I could give them a minus grade it would be a minus five for FFFFF!

02/20/17 UPDATE: I sent a request via Harris Poll website in which one of the options was to unsubscribe from their site letting them know I left a review here on the Survey Police and nothing and I am still getting e/mails for surveys. So, now I guess I will unsubscribe from the email and see if that works. Guess they didn't read my request - again - and they don't seem to care.

Worst Customer Service/Company

February 13, 2017 by David from United States

I've been a HP member for over 10 years and have always completed my surveys and received many test products. After the first of the year I noticed I wasn't receiving any surveys, some days I'd get 2-3. When I tried logging in it said their system was hacked and wanted me to change my password. Every time I try now it says "No User could be found with the email address you provided”. I've tried contacting them 5 times though email and even left 3 voice mails and never get a return call/email. I had over 15,000 points built up which now I'll lose several hundred in gift card credits. This is the worst survey company out there and people need to stay away from them!

Contacting Harris Poll

February 10, 2017 by Patricia from United States

I am having a difficult time trying to contact Harris Poll with questions. None of the contact links on their website will work for me. Never can get through to them. And has anybody installed their ShopTracker? I finally installed it on my laptop and was supposed to receive 300 points but have not yet. So far, I have redeemed points with no problem, but surveys are sparse; but if I don't qualify for a survey, I normally receive a token for a spin for points.

Surveys are Long, Payout Small

February 4, 2017 by Stacey from United States

Harris Polls are fun if you have some time to waste and don't mind accruing points over long periods of time. The invites are not as frequent as other survey sites (e.g. Opinion Outpost, OneOpinion). Many of the surveys are REALLY long and the payout is tiny. You cannot cash out via PayPal. There are other gift certificates, but it takes a LONG time to accumulate points (months and months and months) given the low frequency of surveys and minimal rewards for taking surveys.
