Survey Taking Experience

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Modern, Interactive Surveys

Opinion Outpost offers fun, interactive online surveys that are attractive and simple to take. On top of offering sweepstakes entries, periodically, they offer games at the end of surveys which give you the opportunity to win additional points and/or additional sweepstakes entries. One such game is called the Opinion Outpost Door Game.

Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Decent site, but..

December 10, 2016 by tracy from United States

I like the site most of the time, as long as you know what to look for and avoid. They run a survey from Invoke Research for an online discussion forum where you are supposed to be paid x amount of money for an hour-hour and a half. That's a rip-off but it's not the Opinion Outposts fault, they are just getting paid from Invoke Research to find people to do those online forums. I fell for it twice lol! I had forgotten they didn't pay me, 6 months or so had gone by and I still get surveys from them. Every now and then you will be at the end of a survey and then it says something like A) You didn't qualify. B) Unable to record participation or something to those effects and that's very annoying. But overall I like Opinion Outpost. You just have to avoid the landmines from unscrupulous research companies like Invoke. I recently did a survey for Kelton, a 2 week online discussion forum that I am supposed to be paid $175 for that time. I have yet to be paid but I'm hoping they do. I'll update when they pay me or if they don't in the next week. You can cash out when you get to 10 bucks with this site, and I send it to my PayPal account, but you can also get a Visa or Amazon cards.

*Update* Invoke actually responded to my email and I was paid the $75 for the focus group participation in September. I chose a virtual Visa and spent it online already. It's funny, they didn't pay me for the one I did in May, but I guess I'm lucky they paid for one. I'm still waiting on the Kelton payment, fingers crossed.

POOR customer service

They have repeatedly misled & misdirected me in my efforts to retrieve my password. If I say I forgot my password. it goes right back to log-in page. Twice they have answered me, once with garbage about not enough points to redeem, & then they said I typed in my E-mail address with a space. Just give me a temporary password so I can go into my account & fix my password!

It was good while it lasted

Made $400+ over the course of 2 years, but due to complications at my work place, in which I referred to my co-workers about this program they soon started taking surveys as well. Apparently due to opinionoutpost's policy, you cannot have more than one account on more than one IP address (contrary to their FAQ!) and so my account and my co-worker's accounts were banned. I've attempted emailing customer support they but are rigid with their made-up policy and so there goes the only good website that i've found

Very disappointed

My issue with Opinion Outpost is 2 fold:

1 month ago, I cashed out points and chose to have them deposited into my PayPal account. This process is usually automatic, but I am aware of the fact that it CAN take up to 2 days. By the third day, I still not received the payment. I then emailed them. The first email response I received was from a customer service representative who clearly did not understand what it was I was attempting to convey - DESPITE my having been very clear. I then reached out via phone and spoke with another agent. This agent informed me that he would need to forward my request to Opinion Outpost's "Reward Team" and that it could take 7 - 10 business days for the issue to be resolved. Fair enough.

7 - 10 business days came and went. Still no payment and no follow up from Opinion Outpost. This prompted me to call. The only option available as to leave a voicemail, which I did. I spoke very clearly and left my name, email address and the ticket number. I waited a couple of days, and got no response. I called and emailed AGAIN, only to be told that they would again need to reach out to the "Reward Team". This was this past Monday. Today is Friday and still no response. Where is the follow through? Better yet, how does one initiate a payout to a VERIFIED PayPal account, only to never receive the payment? Where did it go? Why is Opinion Outpost giving me the run around?

Second issue: in late October, I was invited to participate in a 3 day focus group. It was explained that all participants would be compensated $75 worth of points within 2 -4 weeks. It has been 4 weeks, still no points. I have reached out to Opinion Outpost regarding this as well, only to be told that someone would "Follow up with the team".

Is this SOP for Opinion Outpost? To get people's participation and stiff them on the agreed upon rewards?

Getting Harder

December 2, 2016 by carol from United States

A few years ago it was my favorite site but now it is close to the bottom of my list I don't qualify for many and when I do the points are less and takes me a lot longer to cash out and I think the surveys have gotten a lot longer.
