Join to Take Surveys and More

Take paid surveys and participate in product tests and focus groups with American Consumer Opinion. Join the site by navigating to the ACOP website and become a member by creating an account using your Facebook, Google, or Apple account, or simply your email address.

Once you have entered a few personal details, you will be sent a confirmation email to the email address you registered. After you’ve completed this, you will be transferred back to the American Consumer Opinion dashboard and you will see a list of surveys you’ll be eligible to take.

Participate to Earn Rewards

Every survey you see listed on ACOP's website will show the number of points you can earn for completing it. You can either log in regularly to the website to check for new survey opportunities, or opt in to receive emails whenever a new survey becomes available. Alternatively, you may provide your cell phone number in order to be notified by text when a new paid survey becomes available.

Once you've participated in just $10 (1000 points) worth of online surveys, you can redeem your points for a cash reward or a gift card of your choosing.

Payment and Rewards

Rack up Points

Each time you take a survey, you will earn points for your opinions. Screener surveys (short surveys) are worth between 5 – 50 points, or an entry into a monthly draw, and are 20 questions or less. Longer surveys offer points ranging from 100 – 5,000.

Points Value: 1,000 points = $10.00. 1 ACOP point therefore equals 1 cent.

Great Reward Options

As a panelist of ACOP, you must have a 1,000 point minimum balance ($10 worth) to redeem your points. Once you have reached this minimum, you may redeem your balance for the following options:

  • PayPal: For most countries, use PayPal to cash out your earnings in a simple and easy manner. If you decide to use PayPal as your cash out option, make sure your PayPal email matches the email you used to sign up with American Consumer Opinion.
  • Hyperwallet: Like PayPal, Hyperwallet is a user-friendly payment platform that operates in 170+ countries. Allow 8-12 weeks for payment and receive a confirmation email once your money is available.
  • Sweepstakes Cash Out: Use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance to win a variety of lucrative prizes. (Note that once a sweepstakes has been entered using your points, you do not get your points back, even if you are not selected as a winner).
  • Charity Donations: Choose to donate your money to a variety of credible charities.

Survey Taking Experience

American Consumer Opinion Surveys

ACOP offers online surveys to its members that are interesting and quick, with the average survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.

In addition to online surveys, participate in other research opportunities such as product testing, focus groups, and judging the newest advertising campaigns. You can expect to receive invitations for participation from American Consumer Opinion several times a year.

Member's Tip! Ensure you add [email protected] to your approved senders list to ensure you receive survey invitation emails in your inbox.

Household Surveys

A few times a year ACOP sends out a survey that pertains to each household. The survey asks what products and services you use on a day-to-day basis. If you participate in this survey, you will be more likely to receive additional future survey invitations, which can translate into earning more points!

Fed up

November 7, 2016 by matt from United States

I have been a member for over six years, and today i finally deleted my account, something is really wrong with this company, this last payment took like 3 months to get it $15.15 and also i emailed them 5 months ago, they told the reason payments are so slow,is because of fraud accounts, people do yourself a favor and do not sign up with them, you will regret it plus their is so many other survey sites that pay instantly. Also i would like say that when you,get enough money to cash out,the surveys stop, they don't want you to earn any money.

Same as everybody else.

I also have been a member for a long while but I save up my points for a big payout. The first one I requested a check which I got 8 weeks later. So far it's been almost 3 months since I've requested and still nothing but empty promises. What they need to do is change the help section on pay outs to reflect 4 months instead of 6-8 weeks. Not to sure if I'll hang around after I do get paid. There are more than a few really good sites that pay instant. Why go through the headache?

Update: finally got paid whoop whoop!! Damn near 4 months, deleted my account.

Avoid Like the Plague

October 19, 2016 by Ki from United States

I registered with Survey Police *solely* to review American Consumer Opinion Panel (ACOP) run by Decision Analyst, Inc. I want to warn others from wasting their time with this dishonorable racket of a survey company.

If you register with ACOP, you'll earn pennies on the dollar for surveys you take. You must accrue a minimum of $10.00 in your ACOP account to cash out (i.e., get paid). Once you cash out, you'll wait 4-6 months (or more) for your money, which will NOT be paid to you UNTIL you send multiple e-mails to the company to follow-up on payment. Be prepared to waste precious time messaging the company for your cash-out. If that kind of time suckage appeals to you, by all means, register with ACOP. If it doesn't, avoid ACOP like the plague.

I recently closed my ACOP account when--4 e-mail messages to ACOP and 4.5 months later--the company approved my cash-out request and paid me. My time is valuable, ACOP is unethical, and I don't want anyone to endure such a hassle just to be paid. Enough is enough.

Slow payment

Is American Consumer Opinion (ACOP) about to fold? I have been waiting for a payout since July 25, 2016. What can we do to make them more aware of how we view them?
