I've been a member of this site for over 4 years. This site used to be wonderful and fun. But for at least a year now it's a gone downhill. It started with not getting a DVD I'd ordered. Now the major problem I have is after completing a survey I'm taken back to the sign in screen not the members page. When this happens I don't receive the points I should. Now before I hit the submit button on the last screen I copy&save it as proof I'm due the points. After many, many unanswered e-mails to customer service I found SurveyPolice Site.
Thanks to them I did get the points due me at the time, close to a 1000 pts. It's continued to happen. I'm currently due over 600 points.
So if you do join this site, Beware and don't hold your breath on getting the points. I'm quitting this site there are too many other reliable sites that reward your time without hassles.

i 'v been with lightspeed for 4years, getting surveys 2-3 time a week till aug. they dropped me. tried to find out why, no answers, had really bad time cashing in the last of my points. how can they go from great to trash in a few days?

Like others have said, I have gotten to the "you are one step away from getting your reward" screen, only to click submit and get told my password/username is invalid. This seems to happen all the time on longer surveys now that they "improved" their website. I have contacted them using their web system multiple times and NEVER received a response - even to repeated submissions regarding the same survey/issue.

My other big issue with them is going thru 25 questions and then getting told I don't qualify, when the invitation said the survey would take about 7 minutes or some ridiculous number.

On the good side, once you get enough points, they do pay by Paypal quickly.

I have been with Lightspeed about 1 year and have cashed out in gift cards several times ,which I love to give out as gifts, some surveys are a little long but I have also gotten some that were not that long and the points were good !I get the gifts cards usually within the week that I cash in my points but I usually get around 20-30 surveys a month and the points start adding up I love this site and have no complaints,but I also do not wait to get surveys I have them on my favorites and check in to see if they have any available.

I became a member about 3 years ago and had a very good experience then my computer was out of use for almost a year and my account was expired. I then explained why and sent many a emails and they still have not answered or given me any answer to my questions. again they were great at one time just no reply rather it be good or bad just a answer would be nice.

Lightspeed is great for the most part. Payment is quick and goes to paypal. However, I've lost many many points with them. I'll take an hour long survey, submit my answers and then get redirected to the main page saying my e-mail and/or password isn't correct. If it wasn't correct, how could I have accessed the survey since you need to do both to log in and get to the survey. Nobody will EVER respond to any complaint or problem, EVER. Nobody fixes the problem either. I do like the site because the pay is prompt but I should have many more points than I do.

Quality surveys and incentives. as long as the points are credited the receiving an incentive timely is never an issue.

As others have said, it is the occasional surveys that do not get credited of survey technical issues that do not get resolved.

I have dealt with this same issue on and off over the last year to the extent of calling the corporate office. They are very nice and receptive to respond at that point, but unfortunately it appears they have yet to do something to establish an internal system to respond to panel members needs appropriately and timely.

If you have the patience to deal with these type of issues now and then, Lightspeed can be worthy of joining.

I have never had a problem with Lightspeed until now. For the past week, I have not been able to log in. I know my email address and password are correct. I have emailed them for help and, have not recieved a response.

There are very few surveys I can complete. I can spend almost an hour on one , only to be told that I don't qualify. Or, the best, being told that, after taking an extremely long survey, MY SESSION HAS TIMED OUT....HUH?

I have been a member of this panel for 6 years now. They used to be very good, always paid good money and always answered emails. Now, I get surveys and rarely qualify. When I do qualify, I have filled them out for 40-45 minutes and then been told they have "already received a sufficient amount of people" . They should say this way in the beginning. I took a survey recently and spent 45 minutes on it and have yet to be compensated. They NEVER, EVER answer emails. They did used to be excellent, but no more.

First the good: Surveys are regular, normally credit any survey completed, payout is quick and simple. Good variety of surveys, easy to complete.
Not so good: A lot of crashes part way through or more often right at the end of a survey. These have NEVER been credited despite contacting their customer services.
Customer service, bit of a misnomer for Lightspeed. Lauren, their customer service contact is clearly an auto response system with EXACTLY the same cut & paste reply to whatever issue you contact them about. No deviation at all, same reply, word for word, every time.
Incentive: Having had several payouts I have to say it used to be good, 10, 15, 20 minute surveys for 110 lightspeed points (aprox £1). Recently they are offering 80 points (70 pence) for 25, 30, 35 minute surveys which is far less attractive. I used to do them all when they were worth while but I'm not that bored or desperate.
Used to be fun, now not really worth the effort.

1) For 2 yrs, when I’ve redeemed points via PayPal (rec’d $115 to date) they’ve been extremely prompt in rewarding them. PayPal acct then transfer to bank.
2) Survey technical problem (glitch, zapped out, doesn’t happen often) but when it does you're in for a fight!
3) It takes numerous emails (3-4 avg over about 1 1/2 months) in order for them to finally fix the problem, which they did in my cases. I didn't give up contacting their CORPORATE office. Be relentless - it eventually pays.
4) As with ALL survey companies, it’s basically chump change for the time invested - it’s just something to do at home if nothing else is getting you $ - like a real job! It all depends on your demographic (age/yearly income) as to how often they’ll send you surveys, point/$ value of them, & whether you have kids at home, etc. That’s the key. From 1-10...Quality of Surveys: 7;
Compen$ation: 5; Frequency of Surveys: 6; Timeliness of Payment: 10; Member Area & Support: -10; Overall Rating: 5.

Lightspeed Panel Is A good Service, Regardless of the fact that they don't reply. But they at least tell you they won't reply in there help section. On the few occasions I have to go and contact them they always fix the issue within 48 Hrs, But don't expect a reply. Overall, I'v learned if you do have a problem with them, just take a breath contact them and complain and deal, because they do hold up there bargain! AND HECK I'll deal with a few hassles if I have too So as long as some ones offering paypal, The realistic money for this day in age. Not Gift Cards, UGH!

I have been a panel member for about four months now. I receive about 4 survey invites a month on average. I have qualified for about 75% of the surveys that I have tried. I've never had a problem with not receiving points for a completed survey.

Yesterday was the first time that I redeemed a prize. I chose a $10 gift certificate and $15 Paypal. I had the gift card number in my email within hours. I haven't received my paypal yet. It says that it takes about 5-7 days and it's only been about 24 hours.

I can't comment on their customer service because I have never attempted to contact them. From what other people are saying, their customer service isn't too good so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I don't encounter a problem.

Have been a member for about 3 years now, it's not bad when I first joined you could get cash, but now it is only gift cards and other items. I like the gift cards.
The only problem I have is sometimes I will go weeks at a time with out getting a survey than get a bunch at one time. When you redeem point it doesn't take long to get what ever you order

Most points are credited when you complete a survey, however there have been approximately 5 that I have not been credited points. I had contacted numerous times to the panel, but have not to this day received any response. I have redeemed points for a $25 Amazon gift card which was successful.

This is an easy way to make $5 here and there. It doesnt take me too long to save up for $5 Amazons. The $5 Paypal costs a little more points. However, if you ever take a survey, and dont get credited, kiss those points goodbye. Over the 5 years I've been with them, there has been about 5 or 6 times I have not received points. They do not answer emails, and dont credit points that you're owed. It can get frustrating at times when you're owed a bunch of points.

Decent survey company. I like their surveys, the frequency of the surveys is good and the timeliness of the pay-out is one of the best out there. I have opted for giftcards and these arrive usually in 2 weeks. However, the reward per survey is pretty low (a few bucks per hour of survey), so it can take a while to reach a pay-out limit. Costumer support is also decent: the one time I had an issue it was resolved within a couple of days in a statisfying manner. So, not excellent, especially not the pay per survey, but enjoyable enough to keep on doing them.

I really like Lightspeed- their surveys are easy to follow, website easy to use and rewards fast to receive.
If you have a survey issue, you usually get a reply in a week, a while yes, but you do always get a response. I have not needed to email them about anything other then this and infact that was a while back as I rarely ever get problems.
Time for the reward to reach you? within 48 hours for me.

I requested a payout on 1/19 and it was in my paypal account the next evening! That's really fast! This is my second payout from Lightspeed. I believe the first one I requested took awhile because of a holiday. Overall I really like this site. After you take a survey it's usually in your account right away. Someone else mentioned a snack food survey and I was apart of that survey as well. It was nice because they sent me a $10 gift card for doing it and then a $60 gift card for returning it and doing a follow-up survey. Plus Lightspeed gave me points for doing the follow-up survey as well. I highly recommend this site! Easy way to make extra cash!

It's great once you get going. But like others, if your computer is slow, or your fingers happen to click the wrong key, you get thrown off, and forget the survey! AND, getting hold of someone is impossible!

AND, a few times, I have had problems having the points credited to my account, due to problems with THEIR website. Again, contacting Lauren, is like contacting Santa Claus. Good luck with that one! But I do have to say, so far, in just a year, I've redeemed 3 gift cards. Not too bad!

1.) Call there i-888 number and talk to there support manager. (( by the way if you do call plan on being on the phone for about three hours.))

2.) Call or email the BBB in there state and wait for a week and you will get support.

I've been a LightSpeed member for around a year now. I average around 15-20 survey invitations per month. I'd say I qualify for a little less than half of them. In the past year I've cashed out over $200.00. I always redeem my points for the PayPal payment and have never had any issues being paid. I've even been able to participate in a few product tests (including 1 for $60.00 to carry around a PDA for 2 weeks and track my snack food consumption.)

The only issue is the customer service. IT SUCKS. I've really only had about 3 survey issues. Each time I e-mailed customer service. The first 2 times I received no response. The last time was right before Thanksgiving and I did receive a response saying it could take until the Monday after Thanksgiving to receive a response due to the holiday. Well that week passed and I never received a response, even after sending another e-mail.

All in all this is a pretty good site. Just hope you don't have to contact customer service

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I've had reason to contact them a few times over the years, and don't think I've received so much as one reply. Surveys run the gamut from short 'n sweet to tedious 'n seemingly never ending. Saving grace is the fact you can convert points to PayPal payments or Amazon gift cards. Not sure about other rewards, but only took about 24 hours to receive those after each request. Survey invites don't always clear from your 'open' list, even after they've been closed, or you've tried and been DQ'ed.

The only negative thing I will say is their customer service sucks. I really am beginning to doubt whether "Lauren" is a real person. I have made numerous attempts to contact her with questions over the years and not one response ever.

I have been with lightspeed for about 3 years & have cashed for about $50 which is pretty low. My main complaint though is when you have a problem with a survey & contact them they NEVER get back to you. I have heard this from many people now.

First off the good things... if you keep at it, you will earn with this site. But they pay much less than other sites like surveyspot and even opinion outpost for the exact same surveys which usually come out at the same time.

The BAD thing.. if you have a problem and want to contact them.. forget about it. I have never once been able to get a return email from this company. I even wrote asking why they never respond and still nothing. It ticks me off because recently i did a long boring survey for 325 points.. they gave me 75 points and WILL NOT answer my emails to them. Their site says they try to answer all emails within 72 hours. Never once have I had a reply in the handfull of times i've been a member in the past year and a half.

I get a lot of surveys from them. Sometimes I do not qualify but most of them I do. They are sometimes long surveys, but most are a decent length and are sometimes interesting. I cash out for $5 paypal very often. Every little bit adds up! And sometimes I get products to tests. I just wish I would get more of those kinds of surveys.

My beefs with this company begin with the lack of response to any questin emailed to them or submitted on their website. It's like talking to a wall because you can count on deafening silence in response. Technical errors, being disqualified after way too much time is invested in a survey, non-credit for surveys, and more and more OTX surveys round out the list. Enjoy!

The rewards are pretty small, typically 75-150 points, but the biggest issue is that they under-credit and non-credit--and they won't answer your emails when you ask them to fix it. I don't think they care about their panelists. Advice: Stay away unless you don't mind giving your time away for nothing.

I was a panelist for Lightspeed for probably around 4 years if not longer but I finally had to resign because of the lack of support. The last two surveys I took with them were never credited to my account and all my contacts sent to support were ignored. I have e-mailed them numerous times in the past several years and they have never responded to a single e-mail.

Lightspeed has its moments when its very good and when its not so good I have done in home surveys using their palm pilot they sent me and my daughter did one too and we were each given a $60.00 Visa Gift card it was a beverage survey for me and a snack survey for her we had to keep the palm pilot and record what she ate and what I drank it was cool but we had to do it for 3 weeks . They did pay on time but I will say this it is hard to qualify a lot of the times and they do let you go through almost 10 minutes of the survey before they tell you you don't qualify that I don't like. The incentives could be much better though more points for these 30 and 40 minute surveys with one page sometimes having 20 or more questions on them. Finally that "You have either paused or stopped the survey and can only access it once" message is a load of crap I can understand why once would be upset about that.

I don't think it's worth my time. The surveys are pretty long, I often get disqualified after spending 10 minutes or more filling in the survey. There is no compensation when you don't qualify (I don't count sweepstakes entries). I made some money with them, but I think next $10 paypal will be my last one, I had enough.

The one complaint I have is that this does not disclose how long the survey will take prior to longing into it. If I log in only to find it will take me 30min, I come back to finish it at a time when I can give thoughtful responses. When I come back, it tells me I have paused the survey and cannot take it. The other problem, is that you can do a survey for as long as ten mins, only to be disqualified. I find that after that long period of time, you got the information you needed. And finally the other problem with the site is when it requests to fill out a suvey for your child to take. It doesn't specify when asking the age if its for the parent or child. Many times, myself and my child have been disqualified because of wrong age group entered. Otherwise, I have collected pay pal bucks from them. It does take awhile to build up those points though

Encontered many problems regarding the "one" access provision(s). Far too many messages that I had stopped the survey, when I had not. Far too many messages sent for assistance, most if not all ignored. In this raters opinion; save your blood pressure, and save your time for the many better and responsive survey panels.

Lightspeed used to be a fairly honest company - even if it took some time to accumulate points. Now they are disqualifying survey takers after 5-10 minutes of surveys. Even after contacting them multiple times about this problem, they tend to miminize the problem and discount the truth. They are also using OTX - BEWARE! Whenever a company partners with OTX, they no longer care about the survey taker. Between disqualifying participants after dozens of questions and partnering with OTX, my advice is - Don't waste your time anymore with Lightspeeed!

I've been with this company for years and they've always sent wonderful surveys and even some in home surveys that have given me a lot of points. I've never had ANY error with them (I guess some people have ancient computers or are still using dial-up). When I emailed Lauren about what to do next with the in home survey I received an answer promptly and she was very kind! I've so far gotten countless $20 for paypal, a $10 barns and nobles gift certificate, and given money to a charity. Now I'm saving up for more paypal money or maybe amazon! I recommend it to all my friends since we're all college students trying to make a buck!

I've been a panelist of Lightspeed since April '08. Overall, I have had a pretty good experience, but have had to contact support a short number of times. I came across the Lightspeed corporate headquarters and have actually spoken to support personnel at 1-908-630-0542. For specific "Reward Zone" (perks) inquiries, I have personally communicated with Mark Armstrong at marmstrong@perks.com

I hope this information is helpful for those who are frustrated with not getting answers via emails to Lauren.

I love Lightspeed and they are one of my favorite survey panels! I've cashed out about $80 worth of Amazon gift certificates this year. It's not as much as some other sites I've done, but I qualify for almost every survey they send me and get about 4 a week. I've also done a $60 interactive this year for them.

After actually getting to take one of their surveys, the site just shut down on the last question. It was a 20-25 minute survey and I was on one of the last questions for "classification purposes" or whatever when it shut down.

So now, of course, there is no proof that I ever took it (which I think is their purpose). It has been almost a month since this happened. I have e-mailed for support (I think the name is Lauren, not sure) several times now to no avail. They do not bother to help me AT ALL. Yet, they have the nerve to keep sending and sending more surveys for me to take. Do they actually think that I am willing to take anymore of their surveys before they clear this issue up with me? Especially with this low rating of theirs on surveypolice.com. If I can't get credit for the one I already took, I know that I won't get credit for any future ones. Which is exactly why I haven't taken a single one of them yet.

After sending a message a week, I have yet to receive any replies to any of my inquiries. I part of an interactive session back in February that should have been credited by now. But all I ever get is the deafening silence.
Lightspeed is cheap with the points [1/2 to 1/3 of what other sites credit] and barely acceptable when things go well. Don't expect any help when things go wrong.

When you have a problem with Lightspeed, good luck get it resolved. I have had problems getting my points credited (after finishing the survey) and all emails sent to the Lightspeed do not get answered. It is annoying, to say the least.

I've been a member since 2003. I have made $65, however, it is becoming harder and harder, and more frustrating to earn points and cash. You use to get cash, then they went to PayPal at a higher points/cash rate, and now you can get Amazon.com gift cards at a slightly lower rate. The rest of the "Rewards" are not worth the points. As others have noted the amount you earn per survey is pretty low. Normally, you will get 75 points per 20-30 minute survey. This translates to $0.68 with Amazon.com or $0.65 with PayPal.

It use to be that when Lightspeed sent you a survey, you could bet that you would qualify and receive compensation. Now, you will be lucky if you qualify for half of the surveys they send you. About 2/3 of the surveys you appear to qualify for will end about 15 to 30 minutes into them with a message that the survey has reached the total number of respondents and is now closed. This is why Lightspeed surveys are at the bottom of my priority list.

Lightspeed hasn't been bad to me, but I think there's better. For one, the incentives (points) could stand to be increased like with most point-system schemes.

I also don't particularly enjoy doing their surveys and they are long and/or annoying repetitive, which diminishes my zeal in filling them out.

I have tried numerous times to reach someone at Lightspeed Panel to help me resolve a rewards problem and even telephoned them (after getting their phone number from Survey Police). All I got was an answering machine, of course, and even though I left my name, phone number and email, no one has ever bothered to respond. Don't waste your time with this outfit! There are some good panels out there, but this one stinks!

Ok, so here it is, I've made about $150 from Lightspeed. Ranging from $5-10 paypal transfers and $5 Amazon Certs. The points are really horrible. 75 points is about 60 cents. You could spend 30 minutes on a survey. Hardly worth it. I've had 1000 point surveys that lead to $95.00 surveys. Lots of Fun for a few hours with a palm pilot sent to me.So if you have the time for poor poor incentives, go ahead. I'll stick with lightspeed..haha

Not only does this company offer a pretty low incentive value but the points you earn expire if not redeemed within a certain amount of time. I find that I can hardly ever get enough points with the amount of surveys they send to redeem them as they expire almost as fast as new surveys come in. And yes I have taken all the prequalifiers. I complained once and all of a sudden I got enough surveys to get to the first reward level, but once again I am only half way there and I have survey points expiring again.No other survey company I deal with does this.

Ya I have been on this site for about 2 years and I have never cashed out yet and my points are adding up pretty good. The surveys are fun and easy and have pretty good point rewards. Recently I did a Interactive Survey on there and it was worth 1000 points it was pretty cool. In my opinion this site is good.

this site offers you surveys everyday but not all qualify for rewards and they don't tell you which ones you took for FREE until you complain about not being credited for the work you put in their surveys are also longer than they say they will be and if you ask about this they just don't answer you
