Beginning early 2019, Lightspeed shut down MySurvey in some countries, and merged those members into LifePoints. In June of 2019, MySurvey panels and members worldwide were fully integrated into LifePoints.

MySurvey has been collecting American opinions since 1946 as National Family Opinion, NFO and TNS. Payment and Rewards

Survey Types

Take online surveys on a variety of different topics. Typically survey payouts are between $0.50 to $1.25. Surveys vary in length, but usually you earn 10 points per 5 minutes of taking part in a survey.

Redeeming Your Points

1,000 points are the equivalent of $10 USD. You need at least 1,000 points to begin redeeming your rewards. Points are generally rewarded once the survey has been completed, but in some cases, points will be rewarded after the survey closes (which could take up to 3 months).

Reward Types and Amounts

My Survey offers an extensive number of reward options:

  • exchange your points for a payment to your PayPal account. 1,000 points = $10 PayPal payment
  • exchange your points for an e-voucher from a variety of different retailers. These include: Amazon, Boston Pizza, Aldo, Macy's, Payless Shoes, the Olive Garden, and many more (1,000 points = $10 gift card).
  • exchange your points for a cash donation to a variety of different charities. (1,000 points = $10 charity donation).
  • exchange your points for merchandise including small electronics, jewelry, small kitchen appliances, more. There are dozens of options to choose from. Point amounts vary per item.

Referral Program

MySurvey offers a referral program whereby referring friends and family from other households will net you 150 points (worth approximately $1.50).

Bonus Sweepstakes Opportunities

Every month, a few members are randomly selected to receive 10,000 points in exchange for being active on MySurvey. You receive an entry into the sweepstakes when you join the MySurvey panel and participate in panel activities (surveys, quick matches, mini polls or other activities offered).

For certain surveys completed, you will receive an entry into this same sweepstakes. The more you participate, the better your chances of winning the draw. The quarterly draw is for the following prizes: (1) reward of 500 Panel Points, (2) rewards of $250 Panel Points and (100) rewards of $10 Panel Points. If you win, you will be notified via email within 10 days of the draw.

Eligibility: Must be age 16+ to participate in USA, 14+ in Canada. Other countries may vary.

the worst surveys company, I opened an account few years ago they closed it without notice to me or anything. Last year I asked them to reopen my account and they did it, I finished some surveys and got some points, but few days later, they deleted my account again without any reason. DO NOT JOIN them.

Don't waste your time

I had been a member of MySurvey for several years but I finally got to the point where I decided I'd had enough and I resigned.

For the past several months, they had been failing to pay me for surveys I had done - most just average surveys with minimal points. However, one of the activities I was cheated out of was for 600 points for sending in my car insurance information. I wrote their help center and was ignored for weeks before they finally responded with "you need to wait X days before you contact us". By that time, it had been SEVERAL WEEKS and I had not gotten my credit. So I wrote them back, telling them how long it had been, waited a few weeks more and finally got "we're checking into it and you should receive credit in 7-10 business days". I waited OVER 15 business days and nothing. I wrote again... and again..... and again.... and again and they never bothered to respond nor did I get my points. Finally I said "enough", cashed out what I had and quit.

Another problem I had with them involved their sudden decision to lock my account for what they referred to as "ISP security issues". I would realize that I was no longer receiving email invites to do their surveys and I would write them and ask why. They kept telling me that my ISP address had been flagged and that it caused their system to lock my account. Ok, here's the thing - my ISP is not constant, it changed every time I start up my computer. So, whenever the problem ISP was assigned to my system for the day, it kicked me OUT of MySurvey's system. This happened 4 or 5 times. I kept telling them that I had NO say in what ISP address I was assigned and that I had no problems with any other sites over this. They finally stopped locking my account but it was a hassle for several weeks.

This site has gone seriously downhill over the past few months. To be honest, I'm surprised I got my final reward because I halfway expected it to be lost.

UPDATE: Don't waste your time. CS is a joke and they cheat you more than they pay you.

Not My Survey

I do not know why this site gets so many good reviews from sites like "Julies Freebie"s when they cheat you out of most of the surveys you complete. If you complain they will retaliate by withholding your cash out for weeks on end. They are morally unsound and ethnically wretched. I hope they will get what's coming to them for their illegal practices.

What to do?

I have twice in this past year, finished a survey for them and when I get to the end of it the survey will not return to the MySurvey site to record my incentive. I inform them of the problem, but I have not so far received my points. Where do I go from here? Any help is appreciated.

I have to agree with Stephen's comment from the USA March 2018. Every word he has written is spot on and exactly what happens to me and my time almost every single time I do surveys on the MySurvey website. The only part I can't verify is the decrease in money as I didn't participate for an extended period (months or years) but I would believe what he has written. One day,about 12 months ago, I was scrolling through my PayPal account and I just happened to notice a $10 payment for the MySurvey work that I had done so this gave me incentive to start "working" (pocket money for a coffee). What I am finding that is absolutely crucial to monitoring whether you are getting or going to get the points or not is to take a screenshot showing the time&date (from your PC) after you login to MySurvey and copy the main page of everything BEFORE and AFTER you finish the survey. I only take a screenshot DURING the survey if it stuffs up. (I had a huge 30 minute survey at 97% completion tell that there was some connection problem and that I had already completed it which is not true....naturally I checked my per-recoreded screenshots and not one point given even though I told the helpdesk supplying the evidence....frustrating!! (I am a human with feelings also).
2018 is all about customer service and if MySurvey can't improve, as Stephen says above, to let you know clearly BEFORE you spend your 30 minutes diligently composing your answers that they are NOT going to award you the point then MySurvey is going to lose quality survey participants and inevitably lose money to their advertising client. On the contrary, if MySurvey gives the few points that the participant deserves to get maybe $1-2 then it must be beneficial for MySurvey to award these small amounts of points and keep the participants as happy as possible. What goes around...comes around so if MySurvey treats its participants/employees like really valuable workers/people then MySurvey will reap the rewards also.
