Valued Opinions is an online survey panel where members can earn cash and gift cards in exchange for participating in paid surveys and product tests.

Most surveys offer rewards of between $1 and $7 per completion. A minimum account balance of just $10 is needed in order to request a reward.

Joining is Easy

You can register a free Valued Opinions account within minutes - simply enter your name, address, email address and desired password on the registration page. If you prefer, you can link your Facebook account and register using the details stored there.

You’ll be prompted to fill more information in your profile after you’ve registered - and doing so will improve your chances of being eligible for a wide range of surveys.

Complete the Basic Profile, Receive $1.00

After registering with the site, you will be e-mailed an offer to complete your account profile (which takes 6 minutes) in exchange for $1.00. This will help kick-start the number of surveys you will be eligible to complete. After completing the basic profile, you can also complete additional profile information regarding your household, shopping habits, etc. which will help you qualify for even more surveys.

Reward Amounts

Valued Opinions surveys typically reward between $1 and $7, although at times you may be sent unpaid surveys to help with identifying your unique interests. The typical survey takes 15-20 minutes to complete, however the estimated time is always outlined beforehand.

For every survey completion, you will receive "cash" deposited into your account immediately after completing a survey. This can be converted into a wide range of rewards.

Survey Rewards

Your Valued Opinions earnings can be redeemed for the following rewards once a minimum of $10 is collected:

• Magazine subscriptions - 1-year magazine subscriptions to Cosmopolitan, ELLE Decor, Food Network, Magazine Midwest Living, and Women's Health for $15 in rewards.
• Restaurant gift cards - Dominos pizza, Chili's, and Restaurant.com available in $15 or $20 denominations.
• Airline miles - Get 600 Rapid Rewards Points for $15 in rewards, or 825 points for $20.
• Retail gift cards - Options include: Amazon.com, Apple, CVS Pharmacy, Fragrance.net, Macy's, Target, and the Home Depot, each in $20 denominations.
• Pack & Go gift card - this one $25 gift card can be redeemed at a Chevron, Texaco, Airbnb or Southwest.

These rewards apply to USA members, though are very similar in other countries.

Rewards Redemption

Electronic gift vouchers are typically delivered within 24 hours of request. It can take a few weeks for rewards such as magazine subscriptions to take effect and be mailed to your physical address.

More Than Just Surveys!

Valued Opinions offers various types of ways to participate on their panel. Although online surveys are what they primarily offer, you may also be given opportunities to participate in diary studies (which are surveys that span multiple days and involve logging information), and you may be selected to test products from home.

Member Badges

Valued Opinions offers a unique program which involves its more active members collecting "badges" for their level of participation. There are 5 levels that can be achieved with mini tasks that must be completed: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

As your badge levels increase, additional achievement points are awarded, which can be found in the Survey History section. These will display as a 'community achievement'. Bear in mind that you can be downgraded to a lower tier badge if you don’t remain active on the website.

Valued Opinions Monthly Red Cross Donations

Every month, Valued Opinions donates $10,000 of its profits to the American Red Cross. By participating in Valued Opinion surveys regularly, you are helping make the lives of those affected by disaster and emergency all over the world, a little bit easier.

Is Valued Opinions Legit or a Scam?

Valued Opinions is a legitimate online survey site that has over 3 million members worldwide and was established in 2004. The panel is available in over 15 languages across more than 20 different countries and abides by the strict rules laid out by the Market Research Association and the Market Research Society, making them a safe website and not a scam. REVIEW OF THE AUSTRALIAN SITE: Like most sites, surveys are sporadic. Sometimes there are a lot, sometimes only a few. However the surveys are genuine, the points are redeemable for cash-style vouchers and cards, and help and support will assist with problems.

I've been with them for three or more years. While they'll never make you a wage, they are a good survey site and won't rip you off.

I really don't know why this has such a terrible rating - V.Ops are one of my biggest survey earners - I had £90 in M&S vouchers for 2014! I think the problem may be that the payout value has increased from £10 for a £10 voucher, to £10.50 for a £10 voucher. It is a shame, but other survey firms are a LOT worse (Yes, I'm looking at you, Springboard & Toluna). Survey points range from .25p to £20-£30! (I had 2 of those high paying ones last year! First time ever!) The big payers do tend to want you to go through the motions of requesting something though. In my case, it was requesting motor insurance quotes via 3 or 4 comparison websites. Time-consuming? I suppose, but I needed to do it anyway. (And I also found a cheaper quote too, so not all bad!) I've not had any problems with missing points, and when I did have to log a query (my account had been suspended) all was resolved quickly. One of the problems with accounts being frozen, is that you're taking surveys on a computer where the proxy server is registered in another Country. (I do mine at work). All in all, not as black as they're painted in my opinion.

I had over $400 sitting in my account and when they no longer gave out Marriott gift cards and then the Visa virtual cards are pretty much garbage at $25, I decided to cash out via the Southwest Airlines option.

Now with my account last showing $89.55, I can't log into my account. It is saying my e-mail cannot be found in their database. Submitting a lost password request yields the same result. Calling their office yields nothing, as the operator is never there.

I just called their corporate offices (Research Now - 214-365-5000) to demand my payment for the amount owed still.

I have been with them for a few years and always got plenty of surveys. This past July I cashed out on the Visa card but never received it even though they told me they did send it. Just cashed out again on another Visa on 11/10 2014, never received it. I called them and I spoke to a woman and she told me she would send out both of them that day ( 11-26-14 ), nothing. Called them back 7 days later and no answer. Left a message to return call. Called them again today, and told them to send my code's to me! They even have the nerve to keep sending me more surveys, got two more just today. Also have 20.00 in the system and 9.00 pending. I hope no one takes their surveys any longer. UPDATE! I just called their corporate office 214-365-5000, they transferred me to Valued Opinions, but still no answer. Called the Corporate office again and explained what was going on. They are sending them an email on my behalf for them to call me ASAP, we'll see as the spoke person I talked to sounded a little on the edgy side. Will have an update if I hear anything or not. UPDATE: Still have not heard back from them nor any rewards, but they have the nerve to have sent me 3 more surveys which of course I have ignored. Just called them again and all you get is a recording. Update 12/23/14. Still no payments. I private messaged them on their FB yesterday, haven't heard back and sure I won't. Others on FB are complaining on their FB page. UP Date, 01/03/ 15. Well, I got all three of my Visa Rewards today! Had to private message them through FB and it paid off. They had no explanation except they said July's were sent out as well as November. I had to tell them it was not and not in my trash or junk. They wanted me to give them a different email address and I said no as this is the only one I use. But all is well, and they finally got sick and tired of me bothering them I assume. Going to thank them on a private message on FB as I can't get a hold of them any other way. I'm bigger then them as far as saying I'm sorry which they did not do,
