Payout

I just cashed out the first time and this site pays. No problems at all. Two thumbs up.

Great panel, top notch surveys

December 16, 2019 by Mike from United States

I've been using PrizeRebel for a few years now and figured it was a good time to leave a review. I use many survey panel sites but PrizeRebel is consistently my #1 earning site.

I do a combination of surveys and offers by checking daily. They provide a ton of help articles and videos so you can understand the DOs and Donts. The key is to be consistent and put in the effort and you will be rewarded. While sometimes it can be a grind and you will feel burned out, I've simply taken a few days off and then come back to the site.

The customer service team is always been there to help in case I've had questions or issues. I would recommend giving them a try!

I'm giving it a 4.5 stars rating because of this.

Was Good But This is Disturbing

December 11, 2019 by Becky from United States

I have been a member of prize rebel for years and loved it. I thought they had great customer service compared to some sites. Made an effort to connect on social media and free points etc.

That all came to a screeching halt when I was told I had made well over the amount needed and they wanted my tax ID info on a W9. I can understand this, but usually a site will let you know before you reach that point and then provide you a secure link to submit the information, or you can stop cashing out until the following tax year.

Not how it went with Prize Rebel. They actually wanted me to fill out the form and send it to them to their support email in an unsecured jpg file! Maybe some people do not care about giving out their SS# but I am not one of them.

First they locked my account so I could not cash out, then they unlocked it and sent an email saying sorry. Then I got another email saying they wanted the info and if I did not comply that I was again locked out and would not be able to cash out!

I expressed my concerns about the unsecure way they wanted me to send this info.... I can't believe they could not even figure out a secure service to do this.

While I enjoyed earning a considerable amount on all my referrals there, I was not going to risk having my identity stolen over $1500-2000 in referral earnings per year.

It's funny this never came up in the last couple years as I've been steadily making that amount on my referrals. I can't help but wonder if they decided to single me out and ask me to do something that no one of sound mind would agree to, so that they could stop paying me the 30% referral.

Very disappointed in how this was handled. My last email I asked them if there was no way to submit the info in a secure fashion that I would like my account closed. So far no response. I will update if they do anything to redeem themselves.

Oh and for the record, I keep records and pay taxes on all my online earnings. My accountant keeps track of it for me, so it was not about not wanting the income reported, but the insecure and haphazard way they wanted me to do it.

Also if they had let me know this I could have also started cashing out to paypal and avoided this because Paypal is required to report earnings, which negates the earning sites not responsible for collecting the tax info. It actually causes a conflict when you have both collecting the info and sending out 1099s, because then it looks like you have double earnings.

Thanks for reading my review.

Too many points needed for redemeption

December 5, 2019 by Scott from United States

To get your first rewards takes some time but you can do it in a reasonable amount of time. After that you need to get an additional 4000 points but each survey is only worth about 70 pts each and most of the time you do not qualify. I would look elsewhere for a survey.

Tired

December 1, 2019 by Marie from United States

I decided to write this review because I haven't been on PR for awhile. What I noticed is I went from a really good score of 120 to 100 which is still okay but I was left scratching my head as to why my score was lowered. So I finally qualified for a survey and was flagged for the first time since doing surveys. I've always been good about reading instructions even when it's the same questions over and over to see if you qualify for a survey. What I'm tired of is the little bitty dots that you're supposed to click in and make sure they're in the right column or you can easily put it in the wrong spot. Anyway I digress the last question I was asked was 'why I wouldn't use an inner city bus', so I wrote: because of all the stops. I was flagged... what I found weird was after I was flagged they asked me to sign up with their company. It seems like I haven't had much luck with PR after the first two payouts, after awhile it starts to go down hill... I do believe that for some people this GPT site works that's why I'm giving them 2 1/2 stars.. Survey you later.
