Swagbucks is a website where you can earn rewards by doing activities you normally do, such as shopping, searching the web, watching videos, playing games, printing coupons, and taking surveys. Every time you complete one of these activities, you can earn points called SB's.
Upon becoming a member and logging into their website, you will see links to Shop, Search, Watch, Play, Answer, Discover.
You can redeem your SB's for two main reward options: cash, or e-gift cards. One SB is worth approximately 1 cent.
If you would like to receive cash, you may request a PayPal payment to your account. Payments take approximately 10-14 days to process and will be issued in US dollars. Denominations are $25, $50, $100, and $250.
Alternatively, you may request an e-gift card to major retailers such as Amazon, Home Depot, Starbucks, and more. Other options include Facebook credits, iTunes cards, restaurant gift cards, Cineplex credits, and hotel credits. E-cards are awarded within 10 days of request and denominations of anywhere from $1 - $100 are available.
Tip! Look out for “sales”, where gift cards require around 10% less the SB's they normally require.
You may also donate your SB's to charities such as Unicef, Doctors Without Borders, Red Cross, etc. Donation amounts start at only 5 SB’s ($0.05).
Daily goal points are offered where you can receive bonus SB's if you reach the daily goal by the end of the day. Receive another bonus when you reach the daily goal 7 days in a row. Bonuses are paid on or around the first day of the following month.
Swagbucks has been around since 2005 (the same year SurveyPolice was created!) and has over 13 million members, with over 2.2 million Facebook fans. They have awarded over 195 million dollars in rewards to their members making them, by far, the internet's largest GPT website. Every day, they award 7,000 gift cards to their members.
Eligibility: Swagbucks is open to residents 13 years of age and older who reside in USA, UK, Canada, Germany, France, India, Australia, and Ireland
» Swagbucks occasionally offers a $5 signup bonus to new members.
If you want to spend your entire day doing surveys but only making less than a dollar per day Swagbucks is for you. You either get very little money at all or you don't qualify for any of the good ones that pay more! Useless!
PUT IN FOR E-GIFT CARD OVER A MONTH AGO-MY FIRST- DEACTIVATED MY ACCOUNT FOR NO REASON AND HAVE NOT PAID
I gave it another try and there gotten lots better with their video's. You do get bumped out of lots of surveys but that's normal with panels . Back up to $1.00 to $1.50 a day.
I've tried out many survey panels before and nothing has ever come close to comparing to Swagbucks. Not only is it the most consistent of them all but there are multiple ways you can earn and it keeps it exciting. I've been a member for about 1.5 years now and have earned a total of $400 to date. It depends on the amount of time you have and overall effort you put in. I would highly recommend this site if you're looking to make some side money. Not enough to pay the bills, but it can certainly account for small leisure expenses.
Update: 1 star taken off from original rating of (4.5)* simply because their customer service could use a lot of improvement and can be non-existent at times.
On the plus side I have earned and been paid £20 with Amazon vouchers in under four weeks. £10 of that was a special deal from another site and Swagbucks (SB) have temporarily reduced the points required to get Amazon vouchers.
The problem is SB give so much false information about the surveys that it's hard to know what you are doing. Over half the surveys SB link to and say take 10 minutes are listed as 25 minutes plus on the survey site. Pay varies, but is mostly poor averaging 40SB about 25p. Every survey I complete takes longer than they say and are often rejected right at the last minute. I have also been sent to "suitable surveys" where they wanted someone much younger or even a different sex.
I don't know why SB get it so wrong so often, but because they do, I would not recommend them to anyone unless you have nothing better to do and are ok with constant frustration.
