Swagbucks is a website where you can earn rewards by doing activities you normally do, such as shopping, searching the web, watching videos, playing games, printing coupons, and taking surveys. Every time you complete one of these activities, you can earn points called SB's.
Upon becoming a member and logging into their website, you will see links to Shop, Search, Watch, Play, Answer, Discover.
You can redeem your SB's for two main reward options: cash, or e-gift cards. One SB is worth approximately 1 cent.
If you would like to receive cash, you may request a PayPal payment to your account. Payments take approximately 10-14 days to process and will be issued in US dollars. Denominations are $25, $50, $100, and $250.
Alternatively, you may request an e-gift card to major retailers such as Amazon, Home Depot, Starbucks, and more. Other options include Facebook credits, iTunes cards, restaurant gift cards, Cineplex credits, and hotel credits. E-cards are awarded within 10 days of request and denominations of anywhere from $1 - $100 are available.
Tip! Look out for “sales”, where gift cards require around 10% less the SB's they normally require.
You may also donate your SB's to charities such as Unicef, Doctors Without Borders, Red Cross, etc. Donation amounts start at only 5 SB’s ($0.05).
Daily goal points are offered where you can receive bonus SB's if you reach the daily goal by the end of the day. Receive another bonus when you reach the daily goal 7 days in a row. Bonuses are paid on or around the first day of the following month.
Swagbucks has been around since 2005 (the same year SurveyPolice was created!) and has over 13 million members, with over 2 million Facebook fans. They have awarded over 175 million dollars in rewards to their members making them, by far, the internet's largest GPT website. Every day, they award 7,000 gift cards to their members.
Eligibility: Swagbucks is open to residents 13 years of age and older who reside in USA, UK, Canada, Germany, France, India, Australia, and Ireland
» Swagbucks occasionally offers a $5 signup bonus to new members.
Swagbucks was my first experience in the world of online sites to earn cash or gift cards and it was so good until recently. While I completely understand the need for change, the entire system has changed and instead of being fun, it has led me to explore additional sites and programs.
Ncraves and surveys were my primary method of earning money but they are now rarely available and often times, a completion rewards us nothing.
On their facebook page speaks for itself. It was fun well it lasted now that the changes that were made it stinks. I used to make $100 a month now that it is february i bet I will not even get $25 :( When i get the time i am going to look for other opportunities. This is my review anyways.
I am surprised how many people love this website. I guess I just don't take advantage of all it has to offer? I think I've managed to cash out a few $5 Amazon gift cards over years of being a member. I don't have the patience for all the "crap" on their site.
I tried SwagBucks for surveys and quickly came to the realization that these guys make it hard to progress. They have convoluted processes, intrusive browser extensions, fill their emails and notifications with hype and expire your points quickly. I don't need to be prodded with notices my points will expire to prompt me to participate, THIS IS BAD PSYCHOLOGY. I left all my points on the table and terminated my account. There are plenty of other opportunities to get cash back for retail purchases and survey opportunities. Your time and serenity is not worth what SwagBucks is pushing.
I took an hour long survey. I received the completion confirmation at the end, but did not receive the points. I contacted customer service. They informed they would review that matter and get back to me in 3 to 5 business days. That was 3 weeks ago. I have heard nothing. While this in not the first time I have had trouble with this site, it often involved very short surveys for few points so I just "let it slide." I should have learned my lesson. Shame on me. Bottom line: There are SO many better options out there. Don't waste your time with Swagbucks. They are bad news!!!
