Yahoo! is one of the world’s largest search engines. They regularly conduct research studies to collect insight into their product design and overall user experience. Yahoo! has a variety of in-person and online studies that offer generous payouts.

Participant Requirements

Participants must be from the United States, but all types of demographics are welcome. Yahoo! needs users and non-users, web rookies and experts to complete their studies. Sign up and you may be invited to participate!

Variety of Lucrative Research Opportunities:

• Usability Study: Usually takes place at the Yahoo! head office in California, but some studies are conducted in other cities. It takes 1-2 hours in length and pays upwards of $50.
• Field Study: Whichever location you choose, Yahoo! comes to you. It is 1-2 hours in length and pays upwards of $50.
• Telephone Study: Study is done via telephone and takes 30-60 minutes. Payment is upwards of $50.
• Online Focus Group: Done via computer and take 1-2 hours with varied payment.
• Online Survey: Done via computer and take 5-20 minutes with varied payment.
• Ongoing Usage Study: Done via computer and takes 5-20 minutes for setup of study with varied payment.

*Studies are usually paid with Prepaid Visa gift cards.

Eligibility: Residents of the United States, 13+

I've done Yahoo online studies over the years. You know the company so it is legit but they pay a pretty low amount for the duration of their surveys. There are less touch points with a live person.

I have been a member of this site for over 1 year and never received anything. Dreadful and pointless.

When I sign up, I thought that I would received survies from them every week or so. I only get survey when they need some research. Well, I just been contact with them for a focus group last week, and today (may 19,2010), I've done my first focus group with them and the place and the people was extremely friendly. The pay I received was right on the mark and I never made any this much before from a focus group.
In my overall opion with them, I would recommended this site to anyone who have a yahoo account with them and just hopefully you have an invite just like I did. I'm looking forward to during this again.
