Survey Taking Experience

Paid Surveys

Before you begin answering surveys, Prime Opinion confirms to all users that their responses are completely anonymous. It warns them that their ability to answer surveys may be retracted if they submit false responses.

Your first survey will ask for a few personal details, such as your nationality and date of birth. Once that survey is answered, a wide range of surveys will become available for you to answer.

Survey Formats

Each survey includes an estimated time of completion and the total amount of points you will earn.

The initial questions of some surveys will request your demographic information to see if you qualify for the survey. If you’re deemed unsuitable for the survey, it will close without you earning any points.

Most of the surveys involve multiple choice questions, although a few require a longer written-out opinion. Users are advised to submit lengthy original answers to prevent themselves from being screened out without payment.

Prime Opinion App

There is no Prime Opinion app, although the website is mobile-friendly so it is easy enough to complete surveys when you’re outside the house with a few minutes spare.

Community Features

Social Media

Prime Opinion currently doesn't have a social media presence, but they claim that they are able to offer larger payouts (150% more for the same surveys!) than their competitors because they have no marketing budget.

Refer Your Friends

Upon signing up to Prime Opinion, you’ll be given a unique referral link to share with your friends and family. You’ll be awarded 100 points after someone uses your referral link to sign up to Prime Opinion and they make a withdrawal. They are no limits on how many referrals you can make and be rewarded for.

They 'review' my account shortly after I joined

March 20, 2024 by June from Australia

I joined this panel less than a month and had only taken very few surveys, barely 1 or 2 a week but now I discover that they have already taken away ALL the surveys from my dashboard. I see a message on the screen saying that my account is under review. Then a pop up box say 'why' is the case said that some people have 'bad intentions' for answering the surveys and hinting my answers were 'dishonest' and with 'bad intent'. This is just a common MALPRACTICES adopted by the BAD INTENT survey platforms to frozen people's accounts when they are about the reach the points for claiming rewards or when the BAD INTENT survey platforms think panel members have 'earned too much' or claimed 'too much'.
In fact, they appear as 'potential employers' to 'recruit' people with misleading 'recruitment' ad posted at Linkedin. Even after I joined, they still keep sending this kind of FALSE employment recruitment emails to me. When the points in my account are near the first redemption level 1000 points, they now put my account 'under review'. Literally stopping me to take further surveys or redeem anything.
Of all the bad platforms I came across, this one is the worse so far.

Unpaid rewards

February 18, 2024 by Renee from United States

I had sent them proof of the beginning, duration, and the ending time of the survey and they STILL don't pay. They claim they didn't get paid for it but they won't fix the survey and then in the seven day streak you get to select the reward but what good is it to quote on quote win a 10% bonus on your surveys but they screen you out of every single survey

For every 10 surveys that I begin and spend about 10 to 20 minutes on them they make them crash or they take the survey down in the middle of you completing the service therefore they deliberately fixed it and read it up where you cannot complete any to gain your 10% bonus. They know exactly what they're doing I've seen a lot more people tell me that they've experienced this with prime opinion.
So, I don't understand how prime opinion has you take surveys that are very long. They last they all surveys are under 30 minutes and I know some have been even been up to 2 hours. They won't list It because, they know if they tell the truth that the survey is 2 hours long no one will ever click on it.

90% of the surveys on their list will be triple the time that they advertise... they do that on purpose they'll tell you it's 20 minutes, the survey will end up lasting about hour and 20 minutes they'll tell you is 5 minutes and it's 45 minutes the extremely long survey times, the non-compensation is unacceptable. I don't know how they been in business this long. But it's all orchestrated and rigged by prime opinion. they are doing everything DELIBERATELY.

I was able to complete 1 out of approx 20 Surveys. I spent 15 min on one Survey, only to be 'kicked out'... full. The rewards are terrible, for the length of these Surveys. Not worth it

Started great; then not so great

January 12, 2024 by Noah from United States

When I signed up the first few weeks were great, with lots of surveys with decent payouts/points. Lately, it's been a lot of low paying or low point surveys. I'm thinking of unsubscribing.
