Alternatively, you may provide your cell phone number in order to be notified by text when a new paid survey becomes available.

Payment and Rewards

Rack up Points

Each time you take a survey, you will earn points for your opinions. Screener surveys (short surveys) are worth between 5 – 50 points, or an entry into a monthly draw, and are 20 questions or less. Longer surveys offer points ranging from 100 – 5,000.

Points Value: 1,000 points = $10.00. 1 ACOP point therefore equals 1 cent.

Great Reward Options

As a panelist of ACOP, you must have a 1,000 point minimum balance ($10 worth) to redeem your points. Once you have reached this minimum, you may redeem your balance for the following options:

  • PayPal: For most countries, use PayPal to cash out your earnings in a simple and easy manner. If you decide to use PayPal as your cash out option, make sure your PayPal email matches the email you used to sign up with American Consumer Opinion.
  • Hyperwallet: Like PayPal, Hyperwallet is a user-friendly payment platform that operates in 170+ countries. Allow 8-12 weeks for payment and receive a confirmation email once your money is available.
  • Sweepstakes Cash Out: Use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance to win a variety of lucrative prizes. (Note that once a sweepstakes has been entered using your points, you do not get your points back, even if you are not selected as a winner).
  • Charity Donations: Choose to donate your money to a variety of credible charities.

Survey Taking Experience

American Consumer Opinion Surveys

ACOP offers online surveys to its members that are interesting and quick, with the average survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.

In addition to online surveys, participate in other research opportunities such as product testing, focus groups, and judging the newest advertising campaigns. You can expect to receive invitations for participation from American Consumer Opinion several times a year.

Member's Tip! Ensure you add [email protected] to your approved senders list to ensure you receive survey invitation emails in your inbox.

Household Surveys

A few times a year ACOP sends out a survey that pertains to each household. The survey asks what products and services you use on a day-to-day basis. If you participate in this survey, you will be more likely to receive additional future survey invitations, which can translate into earning more points!

Good Quality and Low Volume

January 6, 2023 by Dennis from United States

They use to be so so, now they are really bad. Half the time after you complete a survey they say you did not qualify and do not give you your reward.

Errors

October 16, 2022 by Robert from United States

For the past four months whenever I click on a survey link I automatically receive this:
"Thanks for completing this screening questionnaire" before answering any questions!

non paying

January 3, 2022 by Lois from United States

Every time I would cash out, it would take forever to get my money. I was constantly emailing about the problem. The final time, after 6 months, I emailed again and got kicked out of the site and still no money!

Hi Lois,

Thank you for your review.

Our cash-out process has been running at a one- to two-week turnaround for the last three years. It is not our practice to not pay or remove members from the panel without an excellent reason.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We'll be more than happy to look into the issue for you.

We appreciate your participation in our research studies.
They get their answers you get nothing

October 15, 2021 by Ben from United States

Too many times I would answer questions for 10-15 minutes only to be told " I didn't qualify for the survey and got screened out." They got their answers and I got nothing.

Hello Ben,

Thank you for your review. We would like to research this problem further. Would you mind emailing us at [email protected]? We're happy to look into this for you.

In the meantime, there is some information below that may be able to clear up any confusion.

Most clients who employ us for data collection are looking for a very specific group of people who meet a very narrow set of demographic criteria.

Sometimes, determining whether someone qualifies for a survey takes just a few questions, other times it may take more questions.

Additionally, you are sent through several different “screening” surveys to see if you qualify for any available surveys. At times, this can seem like one long survey when it is in fact, several screening surveys.
Deactivated account for no reason

June 13, 2020 by John from United States

After finishing about 10-15 surveys I noticed that the emails stopped coming. I contacted the support and got vague response:

"A search of our records indicates that you are not an active member of American Consumer Opinion®. There could be a few reasons for this. Your account may have been flagged for non-compliant activity, or you are signed up under another email address (besides this one). If your information was flagged, this could be due to several reasons.

Your survey or registration data was not valid.

We have found that you were not being compliant with the American Consumer Opinion® panel’s Terms and Conditions agreement."

They never responded to my demands to clarify and give my a specific reason for deactivating my account.

Of course it happened as soon I've earned my first 100$ worth of points.
