Never do any surveys

November 23, 2016 by Dustin from United States

TL;DR - 19/20 survey attempts end up wasting upwards of 5 minutes each on average. Surveys? Worthless.

First, 8/10 surveys I spend a couple of minutes on a presurvey to find I don't qualify. Second, those surveys I end up qualifying for? 9/10 of those keep me going for 10+ minutes to finally kick me out and tell me I don't qualify for a survey I've basically completed for them. So, 19/20 times, I've wasted a couple to several minutes.

Basically the whole site is not worth the time. I now only do /anything/ at InboxDollars when MTurk is slow. I've found the VERY occasional interesting offer. But be careful- the amount of data ID has and can share with partners is a lot (I say "can" because they don't share data with every partner). I ended up with a trial subscription to Shape magazine because the offer was something like "3 issues of 4 different magazines for a year!" and I tried to bail on the offer when I realized there were 6 magazines total to choose from, none of which interested me. I bailed, canceled, but ID still shared all my data with the partner, so I've got 6 more months of crap to recycle...

They are OK

This website is ok but it takes me a really long time to get where I can cashout. I have cashed out only a few times during the three years I have been doing this.

I'd pass on this one

October 23, 2015 by Catherine from United States

I've been a member of Inbox Dollars for 6 years. I did cash out a few times but it takes way too long to earn enough to cash out on Inbox Dollars. There are other GPT sites where you can earn much faster. SwagBucks is my go to. Cashing out takes a about 4 weeks on Inbox, but I did receive my rewards. I don't even do any offers on Inbox anymore, it just isn't worth my time.

Non Payment of Earnings; No Response After 6 Months of Asking

July 20, 2022 by Janet from United States

I've been a member of InboxDollars for at least 12 years. Until very recently, I would have given them a four or five star review. However, apparently they're going through some kind of financial problems lately. I had $100+ in earnings with them this year and decided to withdraw $80. They send members emails with instructions on how to request their earnings. My emails were misplaced, so I wrote back to ask for a new set of instructions. I've written more than 12 times over the last six months asking that they resend the emails. There are multiple methods of contacting customer service, so I've written to all of those locations. I've also submitted a ticket onsite more than six times - no response. Sometimes they send an email stating that they've heard from me and will respond within three business days, but there's never a follow-up. I'm astounded that they won't at least let me know what's going on. I could be somewhat sympathetic to financial problems, but no response at all? I'm done with them, and I advise anyone using the site to not count on getting their earnings. I have another $20+ still available on site, but I doubt that I'll get that, either. Their site promises payment for completing surveys and other tasks so they are definitely violating the law, but I've found no method of forcing them to pay me. There are many similar complaints about them at various consumer complaint sites. Any suggestions are welcome.

I can't get my reward money!

October 12, 2021 by Jim from United States

10/11/21 UPDATE:

Since the good folks at InBoxDollars have apparently decided to stop communicating with me, I have filed a formal complaint to their parent company with the national Better Business Bureau. That should get their attention.

I have been extraordinarily frustrated by your InBoxDollar's inability to text me a PIN so that I can fulfill the requirement to confirm my cell number. I tried several times to request a PIN code, and never once was a code sent via text message, so that I could confirm my number. And now I am locked out and can't redeem my first $15 in rewards! I even completely deleted a large number of phone numbers that I had blocked from sending me further texts. But to no avail. Someone needs to contact me at [email protected] so that this issue can be resolved. I've never once had an issue with a company being unable to send a standard text message. This needs to be resolved soon. Thank you.
