SITES LIKE Viewsbank

YouGov, Panel Champ

Viewsbank is a social forum where you get paid to complete surveys, projects and Mystery Shopping assignments on a range of subjects and industries. In addition to your regular paid work, you can create and vote on Polls, or join the Viewsbank conversation in community Groups.

The Viewsbank panel and website is owned and operated by Consumer Intelligence - an independent research company that has been providing customer and competitor insight since 2003.

Registration Process

Fill out the registration form and within 48 hours you will receive a series of 5 surveys that will narrow down what types of research projects you will be invited to.

Exciting Research Opportunities

Viewsbank offers a variety of ways to earn rewards. Within the registration process, check off which types of studies you are willing to participate in. As a member, don't forget to keep in mind that all projects are first come first serve, so the sooner you confirm your spot the better.

  • Online Surveys: New surveys are available on a weekly basis.
  • Mystery Shopping: May be done online, on the telephone, or in-person.
  • Home Research: Complete easy at home tasks and in return receive a reward.
  • Online Focus Groups: May be done on a group call or in a chat room. Focus groups provide the largest rewards for participation.

Note that assignments come as a first come first served basis, and some assignments, like mystery shopping have very limited availability, so act fast if you gain an invite!

Social Website!

Viewsbank prides themselves in being a "social website", where members are encouraged to interact with one another. Members can vote on polls and join groups with like-minded individuals for debates and discussions. There is also the option to create your own poll, which you can get paid for! Polls that become popular within the first three days of being released will be rewarded with £10. If a poll that you voted on begins to trend, then you will collect 1p. Learn more about polls in the "poll rules" section of the website.

Earn Cash & Prizes

Most of the time when you complete a research project, you will receive a cash payment directly into your account. Some studies offer entries into prize draws for cash or other items. Surveys are usually paid in cash or prize draw entries which appear within your member account, whereas mystery shopping or at home projects are mainly rewarded with direct payment.

Earn Between £15 - £20 a Month!

Payments are calculated on the last day of each month. A minimum of £12 must be accumulated before members can redeem towards a reward. Payment is usually transferred via PayPal.

Any earnings accrued during a month are paid on the second Tuesday of the following month, provided that the threshold has been reached. Any earnings below the threshold amount will be carried over to the following month. You will only be paid for earnings that have accrued during the previous calendar month. Any earnings accrued after the end of the month but before payday will be paid the following month, again provided you are over the £12 threshold.

The Unique Quote Research Project

The Unique Quote Research Project is an ongoing research study conducted by Viewsbank. Earn extra cash by participating in this project, as each time your information is used, you will collect a £5 cash reward.

Too many racist participants

June 17, 2020 by Elle from United Kingdom

I have been using the Viewsbank site for some time but have decided to no longer participate as the level of overt racism from the participants (reflected in their mini polls) is very upsetting to me. Here are some examples of questions and responses I have been faced with over the last week or so (and it is getting worse since the whole BLM movement)
"Should the Brits pay reparations to the blacks for slave trade?" (To the blacks?)
"Saying Black Lives Matter is racist"
"Every coloured person in this country is a free person" (Coloured person??)
Other comments under polls have said that if Black people dislike the racism in the UK they can "go back to their own countries".
I have found the content very upsetting and despite contacting this company, they removed a couple of the more rabid racists only for others to keep posting their denigrating polls. I contributed to this site because I enjoy taking surveys and it takes my mind off of negative events going on around the world. Now on this site, I no longer feel able to engage. I am just sitting reading hurtful and bigoted comments. I cannot recommend this site for BAME participants. I really cannot.

Hi Elle,

I am very sorry to hear your experience as a Viewsbank member. I would like to thank you for raising these examples of offensive and prejudiced behaviour. We are now taking swift action to deal with the members involved and will be reminding all members of our terms and conditions.

Whilst we encourage debate and welcome people with all views and opinions to our platform, we have a zero-tolerance approach to behaviour such as this and will continue to strive to make our website a safe and welcoming environment for all users.

I apologise that you have not been able to contact us directly about the issue. I welcome you to get in touch by emailing [email protected] if you would like to discuss the issue further.

More social media than market research survey.

June 11, 2020 by Andrea from United Kingdom

Joined this company in order to participate in market research surveys. Noticed that sometimes a "viewpoint" question would be asked, but then the response would be displayed for other panel members to read and comment on. Some of the comments left by panel members were less than polite. On some serious themes - the Covid-19 pandemic, for example, some of the comments displayed were ill-informed and highly misleading. To be frank, it felt like reading the "Daily Mail" comments columns - if that can convey the level of quality and reliability of the content.

I decided to leave. It felt more of a gossip-column than a professional market research site, which is not was I was looking for.

Hi Andrea,

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, and I'm sorry it has taken us a long time to response. We've only recently gained access to reply and we have been working through the reviews.

I'm sorry you didn't find Viewsbank to your satisfaction when you tried it. I think the section of the site you're referring to is our "polls" section which allows users to generate their own mini polls. We have recently made some changes to the site to improve our polls section including the moderation of all polls prior to publication.

We do also offer proper market research surveys to our members via the "assignments" section of the site should you decide to try us again in the future.

Kind Regards,

James
Quite disappointed

October 24, 2019 by Sonja from United Kingdom

Quite disappointed by Viewsbank. At the begging of October I tried to log in and after several attempts I contacted the customer services and also sent an email to Sam. Had not reply what’s so ever. Last week texted them on messenger and this morning was told that the account was blocked due to suspicion activity. Which, I completely understand however if it wasn’t for all the info they required now to re activate and the things I’ve been told: that they never inform customers when an account is blocked (as according to them any ‘honest customer will get in touch’), to send an ID and address letter, then told I was sent a reply which I never did.
Seems once I got over £20 account got blocked? Strange. Many different excuses and unfortunately I can’t trust them now in order to send those IDs.

Was good; not now

November 23, 2017 by Paul from United Kingdom

Used to be good for making a few pence here & there plus £5.00 every so often for providing address for insurance quotes, etc.

THEN, like so many survey sites these days, you do surveys & the funds aren't added (they think you won't make a note of the before & after amounts...!), you contact them, no reply, then again, no reply. In the end, although I lost a few pounds, I waited for the latest payment then closed my account. Normally, some companies act all apologetic & say they're 'sorry to see you go' &/or 'was it something we did?' No, not ViewsBank, because they don't care!

You have been warned!

Be very wary

May 6, 2014 by Elizabeth from United Kingdom

Surveys seem designed to get very detailed information out of you- like exact renewal date and value of home insurance. This information can be sold on to generate sales leads. Promises of higher paid assignments that never materialise, but are alluded to each time a piece of sensitive information is asked for i.e. enter your exact value of insurance cover so you can be eligible for mystery shopping assignments. Very manipulative and untrustworthy. Only online surveys are assigned- paying very small sums that won't add up to anything that can be cashed out. So they gain saleable information for nothing. Looks like the positive reviews on here are posted by their marketing department! Very fishy.
