Founded in 1999, Global Test Market is an online survey panel owned by Lightspeed Research, a Kantar groups company. Global Test Market is one of the world’s leading providers of market research and serves clients in more than 60 countries worldwide.

They rewarded their panelists more than $30 million+ USD in 2016 alone! As a panelist, you can earn points for completing surveys that can be redeemed for reward items from over 200 partners, redeem your points for cash via PayPal, or donate your points to charity.

Registration Process

Registering is easy, simple and free. Click the registration link where you will be asked simple questions about you and your household. The results are used to determine which surveys you are a good fit for.

Rewards Information

Each survey takes on average 15 minutes to complete and reward amounts depend on the survey length and urgency.

If you are screened out of surveys, you may be entered into a quarterly sweepstakes competition. For each sweepstakes entry you earn, you will be automatically entered into the drawing and if you are a winner, you will be notified via email. Remember to respond before the deadline provided to claim your prize.

LifePoints

For each survey completed, you will receive LifePoints, which you can accumulate to redeem cash and prizes. Each email invitation will alert you to how many LifePoints you will receive for taking the survey. LifePoints expire 3 years after being awarded the points, or after 12 months if there is no activity on the account.

On April 17, 2017, MarketPoints were discontinued and replaced by these new 'LifePoints' at a 1 for 5 conversion rate. Collected points can be redeemed for many different reward options, which may vary, depending on your country of residence. Rewards can be redeemed once you have accumulated 1,100 LifePoints ($10) in your account. Note that if you have a friend that was grandfathered in from the old Points program, they will be offered slightly different points than those who joined GlobalTestMarket after April 2017.

Types of Surveys Offered

Many of GlobalTestMarket’s surveys ask your opinion on movies, restaurant, automobiles, consumer products, current events, and a variety of other interesting and fun topics. You can also download the LifePoints app onto your phone so you can take surveys on your mobile.

Points Expectations

You can expect to earn between 35-250 LifePoints based on the level of complexity or urgency of the survey. Even if you do not qualify for the survey, you may still receive 5 LifePoints..

Option to Give Back

In addition to the great selection of rewards, Global Test Market gives you the option to give back to your community! Unicef charity donations can be redeemed with collected LifePoints.

Refer Your Friends!

You can refer your friends by entering their email when you are signed into your account. If they fill out at least 2 surveys, you also earn points.

Rewards Processing Time

Rewards usually take about 4-6 weeks to arrive if you are in the United States and 6-8 weeks for international panel members.

After doing surveys with this company for over three years, I suddenly find I am unable to log into my account or access my rewards. Several attempts to communicate with the company have yielded useless responses (such as asking me to write in English when that is the only language I use). Even when my password and email were confirmed, I found it impossible to log into the site. Global Test Market owes me well over 50 dollars in credits/rewards, and it seems nefarious for access to the account to "disappear" just when its time to collect the rewards. This company is going through some kind of major change and I fear a lot of loyal and valuable respondents have been taken advantage of and/or simply discounted entirely. DO NOT sign up with this company, and I also recommend avoiding its sidekick company Lightspeed Communications.

Many of you must have stumbled across GTM that's claimed to have been paying for many years. NOT ANYMORE!

Like the other disgruntled reviewers here, I have joined their panel for several years and have been paid numerous times.

However, they stopped sending me surveys all of a sudden without any notifications. I thought it was an account deactivation due to inactivity so after sending in an email, the CS told me that my account violated the "Good Faith" clause when I clearly didn't do this.

Knowing that arguing with them is fruitless, I asked if I could start afresh with a new account. Turned out to be a BIG NO from them. Not only they closed my account by falsely accusing me of fraud, they are prohibiting existing banned members from rejoining.

TL;DR: GlobalTestMarket is no more a trustworthy site as it bans members silently, always citing fraud reasonings when clearly they aren't true. Avoid it at all costs!

i've been a panelist for two years. this used to be the fairest, most ethical panel i used -- paid fairly ($1 per ten minutes of your time), gave accurate time estimates before you enter a survey, etc. for about two months (i don't know if they were taken over by lightspeed research or if they were always owned by them and have recently started cutting costs or something because i never felt the need to look into it before), they have become one of the worst panels i have ever been on. if you are thinking of signing up for a new account, just know that, like with the not-good panels, you will be misled regarding how long surveys are (and even with the bs estimates only be paid about fifty cents per ten minutes), you will be allowed to answer 10-15 minutes into a survey ) providing them significant amounts of data) then screened out, and will receive poor customer service (which was not the case before last couple months) if you politely ask any questions or have any complaints. i am extremely disappointed in the way this company operates now, after always finding them to be one of the best for two years. so, i just wanted to let people know. best wishes to all you other humble people just trying to get by, which i knew anybody reading this review is. good luck and take care :)

I was a member for several years. I even got a 1099 from them last year. I had several thousand points in my account worth over $100. I requested a redemption. Perks.com verified the redemption. Two days later I received a termination email from GlobalTestMarket telling me that my account had been terminated and all earning forfeited. This company must be in trouble. Their Facebook page is filled with complaints. Word to the wise....STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

ive been trying to access my account for months ..i cant log in with the password and account information...i know its mine they even sent it to me saying its mine but when i enter it it says invalid email password combination..i keep telling them this and they do nothing..i have over 1600 points and cant cash them in im so sick of it ..im done doing surveys they are a rip off u do the surveys them cant cash out...what good is that..my advise to anyone dont waste your time...customer service stinks ive had it
