Rarely get a survey then get disqualified

November 17, 2015 by Norm from United States

I am not happy with this one. They are an off shoot of Schlesinger Associates which I love because I do in person panels with them. However, their sister program called Inspired Opinions does anything but inspire. You have to build up points to get a reward at a cash out level of 1000 points. In 3 years I have earned enough once for a $10 amazon gift card. Most of the surveys they send to me either have nothing to do with me or I get disqualified. For example, they may want to speak with men who have migraines which is me. Then they say I got disqualified because I do not fit the profile of what they are looking for.

Wish I Had A Time Machine

It's really sad to see how Inspired Opinions has turned out. Of course everyone knows they are owned by Schlesinger and Associates. Now personally I have always considered Schlessinger's one of the premier places in the Phoenix Area for in person focus groups (having done more than I can count) Now emails go unanswered every time not once or twice. Cashing in your tokens is nothing less than a joke, and again that has been the last 3 times I have cashed some not just once. I used to feel bad leaving bad reviews but every time I did I always made sure I told the truth, I never felt guilty again, I could go on and on but I am sure each and everyone of you has been there.

You are invited to our Pre-pre-pre-qualifiers for the Pre-pre surveys!

March 14, 2017 by Nick from United Kingdom

Funny old place, this. Not because they are more of a panel-oriented outfit as opposed to straight surveys (of which the number you will likely receive are countable on your thumbs, and you probably will have a thumb spare). It's the almost comedic time and hassle just getting started with a project.

Like the project I was pre-invited to, offering a three figure sum to spend a month keeping a journal and do two hour and a half online chats.

So I complete the pre-survey screener, before Xmas.

After Xmas I get a pre-project phone call from a friendly, but slightly rushed sounding person doing a phone screener (which I qualified, yay!), and if I could pass the details on to anyone I know who might be interested - next day I get another call asking if I'd asked anyone, I presume they were needing to get the numbers up fast and nobody was qualifying - I know of at least one I invited who didn't qualify for a fairly benign reason.

So, now in 2017. I get another link for this project, finally!

I'm presented with an archaic looking webform with two yes/no participation buttons, and a broken, non-hyperlinked address to ANOTHER pre survey...

At this point, I checked out. Life's too short.

A few weeks later, I get invited to a pre-qualifying survey for movie project, that wants a fortnight of daily surveys plus a couple more, for a non-disclosed "incentive", and prize draws.

Prior experience has taught me to never do work up front without knowing what the pay is, and certainly not for draws.

So I click on it anyway, hoping more would be revealed in this pre-screener info.

Nope.

Sorry, but I don't pre-work for lucky dips and undisclosed "incentive". No chance.

The last page had a really obvious honesty checker that wants you to ignore the question and click on the "none of the above" button at the bottom... which is ironic as people who have had enough of a survey and aren't paying any attention would click that button instinctively, just to move it along.

Fortunately, I WAS paying attention, and made damn sure I pre-failed it :-D

Three stars for effort, not sure if that's mine or theirs though.

EDIT: Latest survey invite sent to me has currency in euros and cents and refers to chain stores that don't exist in the UK - NOW I remember why this lot are so poor! A few years back they invited me to a US paint panel, discussing a make that you can't even buy in the UK. Star docked now that reality has sunk back in about this place.

It's clear that Schlesinger Associates just fire off reviews to people regardless of geography or country specific panel they have signed up to - their New Jersey headquarters appear to think that Europe is a single landmass with one currency like the USA...

I wonder if their clients are aware of this?

Schlessinger Associates

February 12, 2014 by Jessica from United States

I have been a member of that panel yrs and never got to do an in-person until last yr. Last yr I spent two hrs answering questions at their office and was paid $125. Then for the next few months I qualified for other things until they found out that I had recently done a study with them, and that got me disqualified (4 times). This yr I qualified for a $100 study. I called them two hrs before I was set to arrive and asked them how to get to the parking garage. The woman said that I should go to their office address, and the garage where they validate parking is just down the street. She said that she couldn't give me a street address for the garage. So I went to their office building and drove a little further down and there was a garage. I drove in and asked the attendant where I should park for Schlessinger Associates. He told me to park at the bottom floor. I did the study, and presented my parking card and they said it was the wrong garage and they would not validate it. I told them that I'd asked for directions and followed what they'd told me; he said that the garage I'd parked in was across the street, not down the street. He further said that in the contract they emailed me it said to use the Back Bay Garage -- the one I pulled into didn't seem to have a sign on it. I had to then ask for my Visa check card so I could leave and rush back to my car. I had to pay $28.

They do not reply to emails

I would not recommend this site at all. Firstly i was told i had won a 1000 points prize, then they said it was an error and i received 100 points compensation. I have had no reply to around 4 emails i sent to them. Their surveys are infrequent and although i have reached the prize threshold i am dubious as to where i will receive the award
