LEO was formally known as LegerWeb. This change occurred on May 1, 2019.

LEO (Leger Opinion) is a Canada’s largest online community which conducts close to 500 survey studies on the internet each year. This panel was founded in 2004 by a dynamic and young group of individuals. LEO has a focus on Canadian survey takers, but if you live in the US you can also take surveys through this panel. Many surveys are also geared towards Francophone Canadians, which are offered in French. Over $20,000,000 has been awarded in payments to survey takers so far!

Payment and Rewards

Express Yourself and LEO Points

LEO offers their panelists the opportunity to earn 'LEO Points' for completing surveys. Cash values of survey completions vary, however Leger Opinion advertises amounts between $1-$35. LEO points may be redeemed for cash payments, gift cards, pre-paid Visa cards, Air Miles, and Aeroplan miles. Members may request a reward when their account reaches a balance of $20.00.

Reward Details

Rewards come in the form of LEO Points that can be redeemed for cash that is mailed in the form of a check, Air Miles, Aeroplan Miles, Paypal, Visa prepaid cards, and Tim Hortons and Starbucks cards.

To collect Air Miles, you can transfer LEO Points directly into your Air Miles account. Note that LEO points or Air Miles may take 72 hours to appear in your account after you have completed a survey. Checks will be mailed via Canada Post and take 6-8 weeks to arrive.

Another option is using your points to give back to charitable causes. LEO has partnered with the Make-a-Wish Foundation and you can donate as little as 2000 LEO points ($2.00) to make a contribution.

Redeeming Rewards

Once you have earned $20 you can choose to cash out via check, PayPal, e-gift card, or Aeroplan. Alternatively, you can request 20 Air Miles Reward Miles for $10 in earnings.

Survey Taking Experience

Survey Details

Each survey typically awards $1.00, and because the surveys are quick and easy (most take about 8-10 minutes), your account balance should build up quickly. Longer surveys pay up to $35. Panel members will be sent on average about 1-2 survey invitations a month. Note that you will need to complete at least 3 surveys a year to remain an active member.

Complete Surveys Anywhere, Anytime

The LEO team has created compatibility tools that allow members to participate in surveys anywhere at any time! Download the LEO mobile application on your iPhone or Android phone, so you can be notified directly when surveys become available. The website is also tablet and mobile friendly for added convenience! No need to rush to your computer when a survey has become available.

Americans, don't bother les than $10 a year

January 5, 2020 by kris from United States

Very low yield, I tried over 18 months (signed up as leger) trying to get to the payout threshold and it was very, very difficult. I checked nearly every day for new survey opportunities. Not worth your time.

average survey site

December 9, 2019 by Bo from Canada

I took surveys before it was still called Legerweb. I think it was much better at that past moment, so it's not a new survey website at all! It's not new, ok?! It's not considered as new because it's not the first time in the web market. What makes them think if they changed the website layout to a more modern look, all because of that they can now call them freshman? It all depends on how the website service has improved or not!!!

Their amount of surveys has been drastically decreased. I get emails notifications from them, but their surveys have to be taken on a computer. They do not accept people to take survey on smartphone, that is one negative thing about LEO.

However, their payout per survey is quite high compared to other survey sites. Most of the surveys pay 500 to 2000 points, which is equivalent to $0.5 to $2. They use some external system and direct you to other surveys hosted from other survey sites, and they also have their own surveys that are originally made on their own webpage. You could recognize the difference from the format of the surveys.

I hope they could lowered the payout level to $10, because man, It's quite difficult to cash out at $20. It could take two or three weeks to earn it all because of lowered chance of qualification. And always have to wait for another couple of days for the transaction to be cleared.
I won't recommend to join this right now, because they only send like 6 or 7 surveys per week, and in half of those surveys you won't be qualified into completed them, you will only complete 3 or 4 surveys per week and earn like $20 around per month, that's just insanely low. They used to be very great, but since they decided to "upgrade" their website with this much more beautiful and confusing layout of the website categories, They somehow only show surveys on the "to do today" page.

If some of you still thinking about join, that is fine. It's just don't log in everyday. Only if you receive email from them, find a computer and log in. Do not use smartphone first. If you open the survey on phone first, the system consider you have already entered. They won't allow you to enter twice.

Getting the runaround

December 1, 2019 by Joe from Canada

I managed to get the required amount to cash out $20 On Oct 31st 2019 & cashed out that day via PayPal. I realise its give or take on the amount of days to receive. 14 business days had past (it says up to 10) & still nothing in my paypal. I emailed them asking about it & i get a copy & paste reply.
"The accounting department has blocked your Paypal claim, because information from your profile must be approved.
Due to a tightening of security rules, the accounting department requires that some claims must be paid by cheque."
Nowhere on the site does it mention this.
So I get back to them via the link in the email.
Telling them if I wanted to be paid via cheque I would have requested that. A week pasts & still no reply.
So I try again via their web page.
I get the exact same reply as before. Repeat, same outcome.
3 times now & I still have yet to get a proper reply from them.
Ive halted doing anymore surveys from there till I get what is owed to me via PayPal as I had requested.

Do Americans Qualify??

September 21, 2019 by Rose from United States

I am from the US and joined LEO (formerly Leger Web) with high hopes as interactions I have had with anything Canadian was positive (to this point). Not so here. You need to be INVITED to take their surveys and I never was. If you look at the positive reviews, you will see they are all from Canada. Why invite US citizens if you do not want their opinions?

Don't bother if you live in the U.S.

June 11, 2019 by Cinque from United States

They blocked my account for no reason (I can't sign in). They never sent me any surveys! It appears they only give out surveys to Canadian citizens. Why do they even allow U.S. residents to sign up if they're not going to send us surveys?...weird!
