How PaidViewpoint Determines How Much You'll Earn Per Survey

Every survey gets a fixed amount of cash allocated to the respondents who participate in the study. That pot of money is divided up between the respondents based on their TraitScore. Adjustments are then made to level the playing field so that newer members of PaidViewpoint are treated equally compared to longstanding members. Additionally, the respondent pool is divided into groups, with the higher-level groups getting paid more for each survey answer.

Periodically, PaidViewPoint will send invitations to complete surveys that are time-sensitive. Look out for these invitations, as you can earn a large premium for completing these surveys in the timeframe listed (typically a few hours). Payment Options

PaidViewpoint offers online surveys in exchange for cash and gift cards. All cash-out payments are made through PayPal or their partner, Virtual Incentives.

Getting Notified for New Surveys

PaidViewpoint doesn't always send an email notification to members when a new survey becomes available. Instead, surveys are posted to user dashboards. Upon logging in, you’ll see a message at the top of your user dashboard listing the number of surveys available. PaidViewpoint recommends logging into your account regularly to be able to take these higher paying surveys, as opposed to waiting for an email invitation.

Increase Your TraitScore and Earn More

PaidViewpoint's patent pending TraitScore system was invented to assess and promote the candor and consistency of survey respondents. The higher your TraitScore, the more you can earn per Research survey. A high TraitScore allows you to receive the maximum number of surveys per month.

Survey Lengths

Survey lengths vary, but are typically between 5-6 minutes. All surveys have limits placed on the number of characters in a question (120-240) and in survey answers (90-120) to give a Twitter-like feel. The number of answer choices is limited. Long, classic, complex, matrix-type questions are forbidden and the number of open-ended questions (where you have to type in answers) is limited. The maximum number of questions in a survey is limited on average, to around just 10 questions long.

Daily Surveys

You can wait until new surveys are posted to your dashboard, but you can also take "Trait Surveys" and earn between $0.03 and $0.10, on most days. These Trait Surveys not only serve to regularly increase your earnings, but they also help increase your TraitScore. Note that receiving trait surveys regularly may depend on your region.

VIP Community Builders

For members who can generate large numbers of referrals, PaidViewpoint offers a VIP Community Builder Club. The benefit of the club is that you'll be credited with 20% of a referred user's earnings immediately after they complete a survey, without having to wait to be credited until a referral cashes out their earnings.

To get this privilege, you must have 100+ active friends or referrals. “Active” means your referrals have been a member for more than 30 days and must be visiting the site and completing surveys on a regular basis.

Is Paidviewpoint Legit?

It's barely appropriate to even question whether Paidviewpoint is legit or a scam. PaidViewpoint is operated by AYTM (Ask Your Target Market) - a legitimate and well-regarded market research company with millions of members worldwide. They offer legitimate surveys to their respondents and pay them on time.

Although some users may have varying levels of success with the website (i.e. international users may find it difficult to find full paying surveys; surveys that pay more than $0.03 'trait surveys'), it doesn't mean that the panel itself is illegitimate, never mind a 'scam'. Paidviewpoint is a safe, secure, online surveys website.

I am very satisfied with the service of Paid Viewpoint. This is a site that I know will never waste my time dealing with disqualifications because I am compensated with $0.10 for every survey that I complete, at least. I am also happy with the payout process as well. Paid Viewpoint actually pays you for your time after reaching the payout amount ($15.00). I would definitely recommend this site to anyone who is interested in survey sites for building additional income.

In about a month, I earned the $15 minimum to cash out. I love that I can choose PayPal, which I can put into my bank account where my earnings help me most. Sure, Amazon credit is an option, too, if you'd like, but some people like myself prefer "real money" for our time and effort. This is one of the few panels offering this valuable option.

SHORT VERSION: If you find surveys interesting and keep your expectations realistic, you’ll like the PaidViewpoint.com experience. (3/11/21)

LONG VERSION: I’ve been on PaidViewpoint (hereafter “PVP”) about three months now, earning $20-25/month. I just cashed out for the third time. Thanks in part to keeping a browser tab open so I can see the “survey waiting” icon when it appears, it only took me about two months to max out my Traitscore (a.k.a. Trustscore), which leads to higher payouts for completed Research surveys. (How much more, I’m not sure, but I’m guessing 20-30% based on my own payouts.)

So, how did I get into “the top 10 percent” in only a couple of months? If I had to guess, I’d say that most people who join PVP (or any other survey site, really) abandon it as soon as they realize that its potential as a side hustle is limited. Let’s face it: with an effective hourly rate of $3 or $4 at best, even a survey site as pleasant as this one isn’t going to be worthwhile for long if you’re only in it for the money. You have to enjoy doing these surveys on their own merits to find a survey site fulfilling. In my case, they are mainly something to do when I’m bored or need a break, with the money mostly being just a bonus.

I once got $3.99 for a relatively brief survey, and I got over $1.00 a couple of times, but most Research surveys pay me $0.15-$0.50. Trait surveys have always paid me $0.10, which seems to be the standard if you live in the U.S.

(Full disclosure: While I have found one site that pays a much higher rate--$20/hr or more at the by-invitation-only Amerispeak.org, the tradeoff is that Amerispeak only gives me about one survey per month.)

I joined several other survey sites before finding PVP; and while I’m still active on all but Yuno, PVP quickly became my favorite (not counting Amerispeak, which is a special case) in part because I can be more confident that any given survey won’t take far longer than advertised. (I’m looking at you, Swagbucks.)

Although PVP says we’ll never be disqualified from any survey we are invited to, the definition of “invited” matters. I’ve observed that Research surveys—what one could call “real” surveys—usually lead with some trait survey questions. In several cases, I had to agree to the standard nondisclosure terms that normally signal the start of a Research survey, but no Research survey followed. (Research surveys list an estimated time to completion, whereas trait surveys don’t, and your Earning History will also tell you which surveys are Research and which are Trait.)

My theory, which has since been at least partially confirmed by a PVP rep’s response to someone else’s review, is that the leading trait questions serve to camouflage the screening questions. That way, if I get screened out, PVP can turn the survey into a regular trait survey and pay me accordingly. No harm, no foul, as far as I’m concerned. As a retiree with a rather frugal lifestyle, I probably get screened out a lot.

I do have one quibble with PVP, albeit not serious enough to reduce the star rating. Just as the trait surveys can get repetitive, so too can the Research surveys because PVP can and (to me, anyway) does serve up survey after survey on the same general topic for weeks on end. Perhaps it’s their way of seeing if my opinions will change over time. When I first joined, the topic du jour was “Tell us which hairstyles go best with these faces”—a topic on which I claim no expertise and little interest. Most recently, I’ve had a dozen or more surveys on laundry products, which is at least a topic I have (a little) experience with.

UPDATE 3/13/21: I just received an email from PVP Support passing on kudos from one of their clients for my "awesome" and "very useful" response on a recent survey. I hadn't been aware that such recognition was even a thing.
