Online surveys on everyday topics, brand-name household products and current issues. Crowdology stresses that their surveys are not boring!

Some of the prizes Crowdology members have won include Bose Quiet Comfort Noise Cancelling Headphones, Spotify Premium Subscriptions and ASOS Vouchers, just to name a few.

Seems to be slipping

January 31, 2014 by Robert from United Kingdom

Things started off ok and cashed out a couple of times, but not qualified for a survey in 3 months. Too many screen outs and also a few issues with surveys not working correctly.

Update:

Things still getting worse, even more screen outs and when clicking a survey I keep getting directed to a different survey. revised my score accordingly.

Started so well..

Not sure what I make of this site, it started so well, I was making some serious amounts, but then I noticed money disappeared, I had a look and it states "corrections" - what are "corrections" I can't find it anywhere on the FAQs, -48p, -98p etc Now as soon as it hits £4 I withdraw it. There are many more reliable sites out there (Panelbase, Valued Opinions, Pinecone, Prolific) it was good while it lasted :(

was good, but now very sketchy

December 19, 2021 by Tiffany from United States

crowdology was a pretty good site for months and months and payouts came fast, but something has changed. Customer service does not seem to really exist. I cashed out around $30 in 3 increments and was never paid for any of them. I have contacted customer service/ made a ticket and never heard anything back, until, I used another email address and guess what they answered back. The problem is they never answered my question and I tried contacting them again with the same address,no answer back. I know they're ignoring me just as I thought. It's a shame, because I really put this site above the majority, now it just seems very sketchy and untrustworthy.

Do not use

Try and do surveys all you get is a header saying you are not allowed to do surveys... Customer service NONE never reply after numerous emails. When the panel works it works well... a rarity at the moment

Be careful

November 3, 2020 by James from United Kingdom

Closed my account as soon as I reached the £4 payout threshold. They did not inform me of this & when I inquired in to why my account was closed & where my money was I received the following response:
'Hi James
Our systems have identified activity that is in violation of Crowdology Terms of Use, and/or Clint's Participant Terms & Conditions for Panel Membership. As a result we have removed your panelist account from out system and you will no longer be able to log in, take part in surveys or other research programs, or redeem or receive any rewards. This decision will not be reviewed or reversed'

So firstly, I think that is actually illegal to withhold earned funds without valid reason, you might say they gave a reason as in apparently violating theirs T&Cs but I have enquired repeatedly in to what these violations that I have made actually are and have received no response.
I am always very vigilant when answering surveys and to be honest with Crowdology you have to be as they love to screen you out once you've spent a good 10/15 minutes completing the majority of a survey (data harvesting without giving due/perceived reward, pretty sure that's illegal too).

Basically this company are now gathering and using answers so that they get paid by the 3rd parties for surveys but are now carrying out every trick in the book to avoid paying members.
