Easy Money, Until the Meter Stops Working

April 17, 2018 by Stephanie from United States

At first, it was great. Just set up the meter, put the certificate on the devices using your Internet, and then get paid just by keeping it plugged in and doing a monthly device update. Seemed like an easy $50 every 2-3 months.

Then I started having problems with the meter. The first time, it was a relatively easy fix. The next time, a few months later, it was more of a hassle. The final time, less than a week after that, it was unfixable. That was essentially what they told me; they had no more solutions, even over the phone, so they were resigning my account. They told me that they have no system in place to send out replacement meters, so they were just going to resign my account. (The member representative also said that they had sent me an email saying as much, but I had not received any with that information by the time they returned my phone call.)

Don't get me wrong, the money was easy and great while I was able to get it. The customer service was also as helpful as it could be under those conditions (except for saying they sent me an email that I hadn't gotten yet). However, their system of operations really needs to be updated. There needs to be a way to send out replacement meters so that members aren't punished when the meter, the one the PANEL sent, stops working. It's just not fair that there's no way for members to continue when their first meter stops working. (At least, that's what they told me; I'm not sure about anyone else's experiences with that.)

They also need to have a better withdrawal system. You can only take out a value which is AT LEAST $50, so if it's any lower than that and they resign your account, you just lose that money with no way to redeem it.

If you join, you can get good and easy money from it. However, it might cause you a headache down the road if the meter starts having problems and that they could drop you with only a day's notice as a result.

hang on for the 50

my speed slowed up, caused issues with IE crashing, then did the initial update and got locked out of any "secure" site I went to, including like yahoo mail, gmail, excite mail. Had to call them and get the update removed from the box, things went back to normal. Then 2 weeks later, IE started crashing, the whole system would lock up, unplugged the box and all was fixed. Bad Bad Bad...

I have had the meter digital reflection for 2 weeks now.I just can't go through with keeping it.My whole computer went crazy can't print and the speed on Internet is worst. My McAfee wants me to remove the program.I am not happy my family keeps removing the meter from the plug.I think I bit off more than I can chew just not working for me was just going to try this for a month but way too much maintenance just for a small meter.I will try again to see if issues can be resolved and if not will ship it back.

Was great at first

I'd had my Digital Reflection's meter for several years. Never had any problems. Then one day it stopped transmitting. I called their customer service people (who are completely ridiculously hard to get a hold of via phone) and they told me I needed a new ethernet cord. I went out and bought one, plugged it in and, big surprise, meter still doesn't work. After 2 weeks of sitting around here waiting for them to get back to me they finally sent me a notice that it still wasn't transmitting. I contacted them and said well it's been plugged in (other than having some electrical work done at one point last year.) Since the meter stopped working I told them I needed a new meter and they said they didn't have any. So 3+ years of being with them and they can't even send a new meter when one breaks? Then I was thinking about it and realized the meter is probably a security violation for my job. Oh well take your stupid meter back.

Burned

First, I must state that I enjoyed my time with Digital Reflection Panel. I didn’t get rich but felt I was making a real contribution.

Basically, you sign up, they send you a meter which you plug in to your modem. They give you a bonus for signing up and $20 every 4 months in addition to the $5 you make each month for keeping your meter plugged in and answering their monthly survey.

You must have $50 minimum yo receive your payment rewards.

The “rewards” come in the form of PayPal, a VISA card, a VISA e-certificate or a donation to UNICEF. Your choice.

If you choose the VISAs, you have 90 days to use them. They aren’t reloadable and you lose any remaining balance you have on them if you aren’t able to use it up.

Sounds easy, right?

Well, it is.

But if your power goes out or your meter isn’t plugged in for whatever reason, they bug they get mad, bug heck out of you demanding you plug it back in and threaten to drop you.

My experience was that my meter was always plugged in but they often claimed it wasn’t. I spent much of my time contacting them over the issue.

When I tried to get a new meter after the old one stopped working, they dropped me rather than replace the meter and kept the over $400 I had in my account.

So while it was fun and is legitimate, I cannot in all good conscience recommend Digital Reflection Panel based on the way they conduct themselves and the fact that when they decide to drop you, they keep your earnings even when they’re over the $50 minimum needed to cash out.
