Founded in 1999, Global Test Market is an online survey panel owned by Lightspeed Research, a Kantar groups company. Global Test Market is one of the world’s leading providers of market research and serves clients in more than 60 countries worldwide.

They rewarded their panelists more than $30 million+ USD in 2016 alone! As a panelist, you can earn points for completing surveys that can be redeemed for reward items from over 200 partners, redeem your points for cash via PayPal, or donate your points to charity.

Registration Process

Registering is easy, simple and free. Click the registration link where you will be asked simple questions about you and your household. The results are used to determine which surveys you are a good fit for.

Rewards Information

Each survey takes on average 15 minutes to complete and reward amounts depend on the survey length and urgency.

If you are screened out of surveys, you may be entered into a quarterly sweepstakes competition. For each sweepstakes entry you earn, you will be automatically entered into the drawing and if you are a winner, you will be notified via email. Remember to respond before the deadline provided to claim your prize.

LifePoints

For each survey completed, you will receive LifePoints, which you can accumulate to redeem cash and prizes. Each email invitation will alert you to how many LifePoints you will receive for taking the survey. LifePoints expire 3 years after being awarded the points, or after 12 months if there is no activity on the account.

On April 17, 2017, MarketPoints were discontinued and replaced by these new 'LifePoints' at a 1 for 5 conversion rate. Collected points can be redeemed for many different reward options, which may vary, depending on your country of residence. Rewards can be redeemed once you have accumulated 1,100 LifePoints ($10) in your account. Note that if you have a friend that was grandfathered in from the old Points program, they will be offered slightly different points than those who joined GlobalTestMarket after April 2017.

Types of Surveys Offered

Many of GlobalTestMarket’s surveys ask your opinion on movies, restaurant, automobiles, consumer products, current events, and a variety of other interesting and fun topics. You can also download the LifePoints app onto your phone so you can take surveys on your mobile.

Points Expectations

You can expect to earn between 35-250 LifePoints based on the level of complexity or urgency of the survey. Even if you do not qualify for the survey, you may still receive 5 LifePoints..

Option to Give Back

In addition to the great selection of rewards, Global Test Market gives you the option to give back to your community! Unicef charity donations can be redeemed with collected LifePoints.

Refer Your Friends!

You can refer your friends by entering their email when you are signed into your account. If they fill out at least 2 surveys, you also earn points.

Rewards Processing Time

Rewards usually take about 4-6 weeks to arrive if you are in the United States and 6-8 weeks for international panel members.

Global Test Market is not so good! I ended up with 595 points within my first year. You need 1500 to recieve any kind of reward. They sent out enough surveys but only give you a few (35 to 60) points per survey, and some could be quite long. I do not recommend Global Test Market. I ended up unsubscribing, definately a thumbs down!! From Maryanne in Canada.

I've wasted 1 year of my life (2012) in order to complete the 1,000 marketpoints and when it was time to pay they literally disappeared. I've wasted another year of my life (2013) fighting over my paycheck which never arrived and 1 year after arguing with them, sending them numerous emails, they told me last week that the "1st check" was "cashed" and there is nothing to do. But they conveniently say that after 1 year, even though I have emails from each month stating that my check never arrived, that I was worried about it and they replied every time that they were sorry of the inconveniences and they were going to send a new check. Supposedly I was supposed to be sent the same check 5 times, but they said that there is "no record" of those conversations, like I imagined it all this time, so because of their "company policies" and because the ONLY CHECK they sent it was "cashed", they can't send me a new one nor give me back the points. Overall, it does not pay! I recommend you to not do business with them. Don't waste your time nor patience with this panel.

I've been using Global Test Market since November and have made almost $300. Surveys worth 35 points say they take 10-15 minutes, but it seems like the actual time is about 7-10 minutes. $1 is about 22 points. The points add up to enough to cash out for a $50 gift card to lots of places (but not Target or Walmart, just Amazon for those types of stores), I usually get Kohl's gift cards and end up making $50 a month. It probably isn't worth the time I spend on it. Some days I will get screened out, and only get sweepstakes entries but since November I have gotten free candy, feminine products, laundry detergent booster and face wipes to try out!!! All great products.

On a good day I can make a few bucks, but some days I spend awhile getting screened out. If you have time and are willing to put up with it it isn't too bad.

Some surveys are on other websites and it can be hard or impossible to re-enter if there are technical problems, but many can be re-entered through the email link.

Overall, I think I do okay considering I have no extra costs to take these surveys. It's not a real job, but I don't have to leave my home, change my clothes, or look nice to do it, saving me some money.

Customer service for Global Test Market seems a little strange, but I usually have no problem with anything. They use Perks or PerksPlus rewards and I have had no problem receiving my reward, but it can take 4-5 weeks.

90% of the surveys I take, I don't get credit for. at the end of each survey, I get a message "according to our records, you've already taken this one" when I never took any of the surveys before! i'm done with this site
