Beginning early 2019, Lightspeed shut down MySurvey in some countries, and merged those members into LifePoints. In June of 2019, MySurvey panels and members worldwide were fully integrated into LifePoints.

MySurvey is an online survey community where members can influence the future of the products and services that they use each and every day. They've rewarded over $32 million USD worldwide to date! MySurvey has been collecting American opinions since 1946 as National Family Opinion, NFO and TNS. Payment and Rewards

Survey Types

Take online surveys on a variety of different topics. Typically survey payouts are between $0.50 to $1.25. Surveys vary in length, but usually you earn 10 points per 5 minutes of taking part in a survey.

Redeeming Your Points

1,000 points are the equivalent of $10 USD. You need at least 1,000 points to begin redeeming your rewards. Points are generally rewarded once the survey has been completed, but in some cases, points will be rewarded after the survey closes (which could take up to 3 months).

Reward Types and Amounts

My Survey offers an extensive number of reward options:

  • exchange your points for a payment to your PayPal account. 1,000 points = $10 PayPal payment
  • exchange your points for an e-voucher from a variety of different retailers. These include: Amazon, Boston Pizza, Aldo, Macy's, Payless Shoes, the Olive Garden, and many more (1,000 points = $10 gift card).
  • exchange your points for a cash donation to a variety of different charities. (1,000 points = $10 charity donation).
  • exchange your points for merchandise including small electronics, jewelry, small kitchen appliances, more. There are dozens of options to choose from. Point amounts vary per item.

MySurvey offers a referral program whereby referring friends and family from other households will net you 150 points (worth approximately $1.50).

Bonus Sweepstakes Opportunities

Every month, a few members are randomly selected to receive 10,000 points in exchange for being active on MySurvey. You receive an entry into the sweepstakes when you join the MySurvey panel and participate in panel activities (surveys, quick matches, mini polls or other activities offered).

For certain surveys completed, you will receive an entry into this same sweepstakes. The more you participate, the better your chances of winning the draw. The quarterly draw is for the following prizes: (1) reward of 500 Panel Points, (2) rewards of $250 Panel Points and (100) rewards of $10 Panel Points. If you win, you will be notified via email within 10 days of the draw.

I've been with MySurvey for over 7 years now and I'm fairly satisfied with them. I make $10-$25 per month doing their surveys. The site can be very slow at times. Many times, they get 5-10 minutes of information from you, but don't give you any credit for your time. Sometimes, you get surveys that seem to last forever, which can really test your patience.

My biggest problem is that their rewards are reduced. Half a decade ago, 50000 points would earn you $50, now its 60000 points for $50. The log-in can be very slow a times, but its not that bad. I am surprised at all of the 1/2 ratings for MySurvey on Survey Police. I still get a decent amount of surveys and get paid some money.

It has been extremely slow lately, they must have bad servers or something. Also, I hate when you spend 15 minutes doing are very tedious survey and then you get a message "According to our records, you have already filled out this survey." If I filled out the stupid survey already, then why are they sending me the same darn survey. Very annoying and stupid!

Update: They screw you over sometimes with the high point surveys. I just recently finished a beverage survey and after I submitted the survey, the login got locked and I never received the points. Also, I participated in a discussion survey for 3000 points and of course never received the points for that one either.

As of lately, the website doesn't work at times. I just tried to log in and the website was down again. They have so many technical problems here!

Their pay is lousy and takes over a week now to get a PayPal credit. surveys crash and are way too long, they ask so many stupid questions, just a miserable experience. What's annoying is that they'll have a list of surveys available say 6 and you do them and the list does not shrink, so you don't know how many there are. And the surveys are now just super tedious and annoying to go through, hardly worth the time anymore. Now when I do them, I just can't wait to get done, it's just that much of a awful experience! They need to do some maintenance on their website, it's so slow. The only good thing about this site is that they do pay you for your work.

Their last act of stupidity: I logged in 3 weeks ago and I could not get into my account, it said my account was inactive. Just horrible treatment for someone who has been on their panel for 8 years!

Update: Someone got back to me and reactivated my account, so we'll see if I keep getting surveys.

Another update: I just tried logging in and the site crashed! Ready to give up on them, so aggravating!

Update: The website is down about 40% of the time, so when I'm finally able to log in, there are 18 tedious surveys waiting. The website is still as slow as could be.

Final update: Again, I was not able to log into their website. I'm done with this stupid site!

Kicked off with no explanation

Don't waste your time - with no warning, my login attempts were suddenly "account inactive". When contacted, all they will say (over and over!) is it's to do with "the data provided by you in the registration process not being in line with our panel membership terms and conditions" and they can't tell me more. I am completely eligible for the panel according to the terms and conditions and conscientious about my surveys, so this is baffling.

I just logged in & attempted survey last week. Today I attempted to log in and received this message: "Inactive Account We apologize, but the account used is currently not active. Please contact us if you have questions." I've been a member for YEARS and now this.....

I've been a member since 2005. Made lots of money & gift cards. Now I can't get any surveys and any response.

I have been a faithful member of this site for over 5 years. I feel I must warn others. When you do get qualified for a survey and get the points it is all great. They send the rewards and I love it. However, lately, I've been either not qualifying for 3/4's of the surveys or when I complete the surveys I reach an error page. I submit a problem report, asking them to reimburse the points when I have completely finished a survey in good faith they really should give the points. The latest comment AFTER 4 MONTHS OF WAITING was "After further investigation, it appears your participation for these surveys was not recorded by our server. I am sorry to inform you that if the survey was not recorded as completed, the data you provided cannot be used, and points are not provided in those cases.". In my humble opinion this is completely unacceptable. If a person takes the time to complete a survey they should be reimbursed for their time, period! It is not our problem their server/computer is having issues. Other survey sites WILL reimburse their customers for the full points given, no questions asked. My Survey is literally stealing time/money from their customers. Watch out! Participate with the knowledge that you may be ripped off. I felt it was my duty to speak up.

An addition added 11-17-2018:My husband has worked faithfully, honestly and truthfully for the past many years on this site. In August he no longer was receiving surveys. He sent a request for help and no response until today, 11/17, 3 long months later. They informed him an audit has shown he was fraudulent in his answers. There is no evidence that was shown to him of this fact and he was found guilty without being able to defend himself. Just before this he had worked very HARD all year to build up points and cashed out. I'm wondering if this triggered it. This survey site is absolutely TERRIBLE. Half of the surveys you complete and they send you to an error page and you get NO points. Others are mostly disqualifications and the few that you do get are rare. I'm so sad for him, he worked hard and did well. Grateful for the other survey sites that are honest and understand that sometimes people get tired and may press the wrong key at times which would lead to discrepancies. We are only human after all. Thank you for letting me help others be aware of this, you may want to cash out often as they can shut you down at any time. Thank you.
