Survey Taking Experience

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Modern, Interactive Surveys

Opinion Outpost offers fun, interactive online surveys that are attractive and simple to take. On top of offering sweepstakes entries, periodically, they offer games at the end of surveys which give you the opportunity to win additional points and/or additional sweepstakes entries. One such game is called the Opinion Outpost Door Game.

Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Great!...Sometimes

May 25, 2015 by Ank from United States

There are some surveys on this website that are amazing and can give you anywhere from 3 to 5$ but then there are others that make your eyes bleed. The 5$ minimum and instant cash out are nice features. Website design is decent as well.

was good

May 22, 2015 by Victoria from Canada

They used to be really good, recently for the last few months, I've been getting less and less surveys, now most I don't qualify for, not sure why that changed because I've been with them for awhile now

Looks good at first but it's really not.

May 19, 2015 by jessica from United States

I've been sent a lot of surveys but each time I try to do one I do not qualify. I know this happens sometimes with every company, but to take 20+ surveys and not qualify for ONE of them... I give up.

waste of my time

May 19, 2015 by jamie from United States

I have been on this freakin site for over a year now and I have been suspended 3 times and the third they closed my account. Every time they suspended my account or was some stupid reason like data concerns or breach of terms. I would completely understand if they were concerned with something but I always emailed them asking what was wrong or what I did. Every time they come back saying they would look into it and that would be fine if they ever told me what I did wrong but they never did when they did email me they just said my account was deleted without telling we a reason way so I could explain our defends myself.

Short version is to just skip over this one because they are always looking for some reason to kick you out.

Easy money, but a little buggy

May 16, 2015 by Daniel from United States

Of all the survey sites I've tried, this is the one which has the easiest and quickest way to cash out. Once you get 100 points, you can take the cash option which will transfer the money to your paypal account in minutes (10 cents per point).

So far, there's been a lot of surveys available. You don't always qualify for them, but usually, they screen you out before you get too far into them. And for your effort, they'll give you an entry into the $10,000 giveaway that takes place every 3 months. A little tip, if you don't qualify, click "no thanks". It will give you the option to play one of 2 mini games for more entries (wheel) or points (door). (although I'm not convinced the door one is winnable at all because I literally always end up with the yellow token #2).

The downside is that the surveys you do qualify for don't really give that many points for the time they take (I'd had a few 12 minute surveys only give me 5 points). And even then, the time length is not always accurate. A "5 minute" survey can take 15 to 20 minutes. Another issue is that every now and then, you'll end up with a survey that doesn't give any points, just entries into their $10,000 (which you'll get anyway, even if you don't qualify for the survey). This doesn't happen too frequently, but it happens enough to cause frustration when all you need are five more points to cash out.

This brings me to the buggy parts of the site. While most of the time, I have gotten the points promised, there were a couple of instances in which I was told I didn't qualify directly after taking the survey. There were also a couple of times where I got a message telling me that they couldn't credit me points because I was suspected of violating their terms (something about already taking the survey using my computer.) Lastly, the surveys they email to you often just link you back to their "we're all ears" page. And if they don't list a point value, don't bother. Because it probably means the survey will just get you an entry into the $10,000.

However, those bugs don't happen that often and since it's so easy to cash out (especially compared to other sites like this), I'd rate them above average.
