Opinion Outpost gives everyday consumers the opportunities to participate in online surveys and product tests in exchange for cash rewards and gift cards.

Signing up is free and to do so, simply enter your name, date of birth, zip code and email address on the registration form on their website. After that, you’ll be prompted to confirm your email address before you’re able to begin answering surveys.

Take Surveys and More

Once you've fully registered, you’ll see a “Surveys” link on your main account dashboard. This will take you to your list of available surveys. You can choose to have surveys emailed to you if you prefer.

You also have the option to add additional information (via profile surveys) to help Opinion Outpost match you with more relevant surveys to you.

Sign up with Opinion Outpost to take paid surveys and complete product testing assignments in exchange for rewards. Simply join the site for free and receive invitations to complete online surveys on your computer or mobile device.

You don't have to wait long to get rewarded - if you take a survey worth 50 points, you'll already have enough to redeem a $5 Amazon.com gift card. The following reward options are offered on the site in exchange for participating:

• PayPal payments - with only 100 points (worth $10/£5), you can request that a PayPal payment be made to your account. Bear in mind that only verified PayPal accounts will qualify for payment.
• Amazon e-vouchers - with just 50 points ($5) in your account, you can request an Amazon.com e-gift code.
• Apple Store gift cards - with 100 points ($10) sitting in your account, you can request an app store / iTunes gift card.

Super-Fast Rewards Delivery

Opinion Outpost is very unique in that rewards are often delivered instantly after requesting them. It's uncommon to have to wait more than a few minutes/hours to receive a PayPal payment or e-gift card that you've requested, though technically they advertise a 3 day rewards processing period.

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Modern, Interactive Surveys

Opinion Outpost offers fun, interactive online surveys that are attractive and simple to take. Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Badges

Opinion Output offers ‘Badges’, which essentially serve as loyalty bonuses. You will start out with a Bronze membership and have the chance to upgrade to Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond based on how active you are on the website and how complete your profile is.

As your badge levels increase, additional achievement points are awarded, which can be found on your Survey History page. These will show up as 'community achievement'. Bear in mind that you can be downgraded to a lower tier badge if you don’t remain active on the website.

Quarterly Chances to Win $10,000

If you are in the USA and you get disqualified from a survey, participate in a survey, or exchange your valuable points for an entry, you will have a chance to win $10,000 in a quarterly cash draw. That means that $40,000 in total is awarded to 4 lucky members every year! If you are in Canada, there are also sweepstakes available in the form of 4 quarterly draws worth $1,250 each ($5,000 yearly).

Refer Your Friends to Earn More

Opinion Outpost's referral program will award you $1.00 every time you refer a friend using your custom link and they complete at least one survey. Earn up to $5.00 in total. Find the "refer a friend" tab when you log into your account to grab your custom referral link to share with friends or extended family members (available to US panelists only).

Is Opinion Outpost Legit?

Opinion Outpost is over a decade old and is a legitimate survey site that pays approximately $5 million dollars in rewards to its members every year. I have been with opinion outpost for 2 years. It has gotten worse and worse over time. However, since late fall 2012/early winter 2013 it has just been ridiculous. Over and over again you fill out surveys and complete them and you get disqualified at the end or you are told that they are enough answers like yours. Often you cannot cash out. For example, since August 13th, I and other have not been able to cash out through Paypal. We get a message that says it may take up to a week to investigate. That should be something they have IT working on around the clock. Makes it seem like they are having financial issues or that monies are not being use appropriately.

Also, there are many times when you don't get your points right away. you then have to contact the help desk. They may get back to you, but you are told that you will get your points in 3-4 weeks once they verify your answers. FYI, it means they hope you forget (shady). When you follow up they know nothing about the initial problems. Then you just took a survey that they got paid for and you got nothing. I must send at least 5 or more emails to the help desk a day. There are always problems. If I had as many problems and complaints as them I would have been fired.

I like this site, they send my money to my pay pal account within second of claiming it. However, it is a lot of work just to get that $10 but I have been averaging about $10/week. The most irritating thing is to be more than half way done with the survey then get DQ'd, I contacted them about one and they said "I didn't fit that surveys requirements, but I was finished? So that made me mad, but other than that, good site! Some surveys will make you want to pull your hair out, but I haven't found a site yet that hasn't had a few like that!!

I am happy to this this is one of my favorites - They are 100% legit, EVERY single survey has a cash incentive ranging from $1.50 to $12.00 - sometimes more - most are $2-$5, sometimes you get $18 ones. I get a dozen ore more per month, and easily make $20-$40 per month - have always received my checks on time, very nice to deal with and honest !

I must edit this review as I do not feel SSI deserves 5 stars Ever since
SSI has acquired OpinionOutpost, the incentives have been significantly cut and the frequency of survey invitations as well.

The amount of bad links, off quota, expired/closed surveys and surveys that mysteriously kick you out at 50-75% sometimes 90% are alarmingly high. To me this is very questionable.
The frequency of surveys have significantly been reduced over the years as well as the quality.

They do however pay instantly to your PayPal, although their minimum to cash out is $10, which is excessive given the survey inventory is low and frequency of said surveys has been reduced, it could take a while to accumulate the $10.
They are not the worst, but they have gone from best TOP to being below average.

You can easily be disqualified for surveys. Out of 19 surveys, I only qualified for one (with some surveys that waited until I was close to completing the survey to tell me that I did not meet the criteria). At 50 cents a week, it is very frustrating to wait to redeem my points (which requires me to have at least $10 worth of points).

I receive many emails from this company with numerous opportunities. Everything is straightforward and many of the surveys are entertaining or interesting. I agree with other reviewers that it would be helpful if they were able to use your basic demographic info to weed out the ones from which you don't qualify. It would save a lot of time. Other than that, things are easy and convenient.
