Opinion Outpost gives everyday consumers the opportunities to participate in online surveys and product tests in exchange for cash rewards and gift cards.

Signing up is free and to do so, simply enter your name, date of birth, zip code and email address on the registration form on their website. After that, you’ll be prompted to confirm your email address before you’re able to begin answering surveys.

Take Surveys and More

Once you've fully registered, you’ll see a “Surveys” link on your main account dashboard. This will take you to your list of available surveys. You can choose to have surveys emailed to you if you prefer.

You also have the option to add additional information (via profile surveys) to help Opinion Outpost match you with more relevant surveys to you.

You don't have to wait long to get rewarded - if you take a survey worth 50 points, you'll already have enough to redeem a $5 Amazon.com gift card. The following reward options are offered on the site in exchange for participating:

• PayPal payments - with only 100 points (worth $10/£5), you can request that a PayPal payment be made to your account. Bear in mind that only verified PayPal accounts will qualify for payment.
• Amazon e-vouchers - with just 50 points ($5) in your account, you can request an Amazon.com e-gift code.
• Apple Store gift cards - with 100 points ($10) sitting in your account, you can request an app store / iTunes gift card.

Super-Fast Rewards Delivery

Opinion Outpost is very unique in that rewards are often delivered instantly after requesting them. It's uncommon to have to wait more than a few minutes/hours to receive a PayPal payment or e-gift card that you've requested, though technically they advertise a 3 day rewards processing period.

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Badges

Opinion Output offers ‘Badges’, which essentially serve as loyalty bonuses. You will start out with a Bronze membership and have the chance to upgrade to Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond based on how active you are on the website and how complete your profile is.

As your badge levels increase, additional achievement points are awarded, which can be found on your Survey History page. These will show up as 'community achievement'. Bear in mind that you can be downgraded to a lower tier badge if you don’t remain active on the website.

Quarterly Chances to Win $10,000

If you are in the USA and you get disqualified from a survey, participate in a survey, or exchange your valuable points for an entry, you will have a chance to win $10,000 in a quarterly cash draw. That means that $40,000 in total is awarded to 4 lucky members every year! If you are in Canada, there are also sweepstakes available in the form of 4 quarterly draws worth $1,250 each ($5,000 yearly).

Refer Your Friends to Earn More

Opinion Outpost's referral program will award you $1.00 every time you refer a friend using your custom link and they complete at least one survey. Earn up to $5.00 in total. Is Opinion Outpost Legit?

You do a survey for 40 minutes, FINISH it, then do not get redirected to their site or get a timed out message or a thank you for your interest in this survey message & NO PAY. When you contact them you get a foreigner sending a form mail telling you the survey, "is in field" & AFTER it closes in 2 to 4 weeks they will see if you REALLY finished the survey. I had this happen 3 times last Saturday alone, 10/25/2014. They of course never contact you again. After getting 3 replies telling me I wasn't getting the $5.50 they owed me I decided to let people know what to expect.. After reading other reviews I see this happens to a lot of people. Another favorite of Opinion Outpost & most other survey sites is to tell you a survey is 10 minutes long & it is takes 25 to 45. Most "10 minute" surveys pay .50.

this site uses excuses not to pay you your money you earned.I have cashed out via paypal.Not verified.It said.Then I tried for after a month.I finally was able to get back on the site with my verified paypal account.Still no money!!!!!!
Now I cashed out via Amazon.Something easy ,right?
Another excuse no money don't do surveys for this company.I do surveys for many companies all day long and cash out no problem at all cashing out.

UPDATE: Like many other people who have left recent reviews, I've been experiencing two things over and over --

1. Not qualifying for any surveys, or getting the "You're not qualified" message when I'm 60-90% complete while doing an actual survey.

2. Completing a survey and receiving an error message so points aren't added to my account.

Opinion Outpost used to be a great survey company, but they're taking way too much information from me, and not paying out in the end. No thanks!

I started with Opinion Outpost about a year ago, and suddenly I'm finding that I'll get 75% or more through the surveys and I'm "screened out", therefore it's been harder to earn any points, making it a waste of time. Will probably close my account with them soon -- which is a shame. This used to be a good earner.

3/2016: I am updating this review to say, in addition to NO SURVEYS, my account has now been frozen "due to data concerns". I have not taken any survey's for 2 years. What data?
I joined in 2014 and had a pretty steady stream of surveys and income from this site. Now there are ZERO surveys. There used to be many pre-screen surveys, and I would not pass most, but now there is absolutely nothing, and it has been this way for months.

Have taken many many surveys only to qualify for none. Extremely frustrating. Last straw was when I received the following message:
"Unable to record participation.........
This could happen because you were either suspected of violating our terms and conditions or someone else already participated in this survey using this computer "
I've been taking surveys for years and am a member of numerous survey sites. This was a total insult to me and I asked them to remove me from their site.
