YouGov, Branded Surveys

In February, 2022, Populuslive rebranded itself as Y Live.

Y Live, part of Populus Limited, based in the UK, is a popular market research company. The panel was established in 2003 with a presence that has grown to 75 countries worldwide. The panel does research in the business, culture and politics sectors. Joining the community is simple - start by filling out a short and simple registration form.

Payment and Rewards

Earn £1.00 for Every 5 Minutes

Y Live gives its members the opportunity to earn £1.00 for every 5 minutes they spend on a survey. Depending on the length, most surveys pay between 1 to 3 points each (1 point = £1.00) and take usually about 5 to 15 minutes to finish. Please note that rewards will only be credited to your account once the survey is closed. This could range from one day to three months, depending on the research and nature of the study.

Cash in at £50.00

Once you have accumulated 50 points (£50.00) you are eligible to request a cheque or a BACS payment at the next payment date. The payment date is at the end of each month and if you requested a cheque, it will arrive within two weeks after this date. BACS payments typically take a few days to arrive. On average, Y Live issues 3000 monthly cheques to members who have reached the threshold for payment.

Survey Taking Experience

The draw will take place on the second Monday of each calendar month and winners are notified within 4 weeks of the draw taking place.

Great surveys , helps me give a voice and helps me kill time , the rewards are fantastic and now you can have your money sent straight to your bank so no more waiting for a cheque, thank you populuslive.

One of my favourite sites

May 24, 2020 by Kirsty from United Kingdom

I have be completing surveys with Populus Live for over 6 years. Surveys are always interesting and pay well. Points are added straight to your account after completing each survey and once you reach the threshold they automatically send you payment at the start of the following month. I used to receive £50 cheques but have now opted to change to £50 bank transfer which is much quicker. I highly recommend Populus, I am signed up to quite a lot of survey sites and this is definitely in my top 3 for most reliable and pays well.

Populus

May 24, 2020 by Alan from United Kingdom

Populuslive is probably the best and most generous of the survey providers on the market, certainly among the dozen or so that I partake in.

Questions are generally easy to understand and there are not too many "matrix" type questions which take an age to complete if done properly.

I particularly detest questions like "Name as many financial companies as you can think of" when there must be dozens and dozens of answers. This is invariably followed by "how many of the following are you aware of?" So why bother with the first one? I usually name two or three and then move on! Fortunately, Populus don't make too much of a habit of this.

Populus are probably the most rewarding survey providers (they claim to pay £1 for every 5 minutes of time required to complete a survey). This has been slipping a bit lately and their estimated completion times are often under-estimated, sometimes by quite a lot. I have pointed this out to Populus on several occasions, but the habit continues.

Nevertheless, I have given them 4.5 stars because they are still the best payers compared with their competition. But I wish they were more honest!

A little extra cash

May 24, 2020 by Amanda from United Kingdom

I've been doing surveys with Populuslive for many years, never had any problems. The screenout for surveys is a lot quicker than other unscrupulous survey sites that get you to fill out half a survey before telling you you haven't qualified!!! Populuslive is much better, I've received many payouts over the years. My only niggle is that the surveys take quite a bit longer than stated, so a 5 minute survey takes nearly 10 if you are reading and answering the questions properly. The new BACS direct into bank payment is much better than receiving a cheque, being disabled, getting to the bank was a lot of faff.
