Ripoff-Going downhill

June 24, 2020 by Doug from United Kingdom

Funny how, after a bad review, there's a torrent of "Oh you're wonderful", very suspicious!!!
Getting worse all the time, now all you get is "Enter this survey for a CHANCE of winning 10,000 pts". Ha Ha Ha
So a free (to them) survey and nothing for panellist
And Of course Mr GM of NOWHERE won the prize draw in the prize lists
AVOID!!!

Deactivated account

May 4, 2020 by shelly from United Kingdom

I used to have a survey account with you and thought using this site, I think the trick is not to save too much as it seems to me if you save a large amount and try to claim it they deactivated your account. It's a shame they had interesting surveys, very unhappy with the way I was treated, they didn't have the decency to reply to my emails and honour what I had claimed.

Hello Shelly,

Thank you you your review.

You can find all the information regarding joining the panel and use of personal data by accessing our i-Say page under "Terms and conditions" :
https://social.i-say.com/static/TermsandConditions#_Toc3817273
As you will see mentioned there, aside from the age limit of 18 , everybody is free to apply for membership in the Panel. Nevertheless, we reserve the sole right to deny membership, without any requirement to justify such a rejection. This can be related to different reasons like those with a household member working in market research, those who selected a wrong state, those who are already in the panel, those who do not accept the terms and conditions, and those who are blacklisted or show fraudulent activity.

For any additional questions, you can contact our team at [email protected].

lies and nonesense

March 8, 2020 by Paul from United States

I joined i-say in late April. I rather enjoyed their surveys as they were easy to read, and had big enough boxes to click on. However, when I tried to redeem enough points for a $15 Amazon e-gift card. I received an email notifying me of my redemption, the transaction # and all that. However, they gave me fraudulent information to get my e-gift card. None of the numbers and codes corresponded with Amazon to get the card. Amazon says that I need the e-gift card number from ipsos to be able to claim it. All ipsos gave me was some "secret code" which does not correspond to anything Amazon knows about, and an access number which does not access anything on Amazon. After many calls to Amazon, they say that there should be a link to an ipsos site to get the number, but no such link was included in my email. I have emailed ipsos many times, but after 3 days i get a standard form letter saying 'thank you for notifying us of the situation, we are looking into it" I have heard nothing back from these shysters. Stay away from them.

Hi Paul,

We appreciate you sharing your thoughts here. However, I do want to use this opportunity to clarify a few things.

You said in your review that your Amazon redemption code was invalid. The code for the gift cards you redeem are generated automatically.

Please see bellow the steps for claiming an Amazon gift card :

1. Visit www.amazon.com
2. Click Apply to Account and enter the claim code when prompted.
3. These Gift Card funds will be applied automatically to eligible orders during the checkout process.
4. You must pay for any remaining balance on your order with a credit card, debit card, or another Amazon gift card. Your Gift Card claim code may also be entered when prompted during the checkout process (you will not be able to redeem your Gift Card using the Amazon.com/.ca 1-Click® service unless you first redeem the Gift Card funds to Your Account)

For any other problems with this process, please contact us on [email protected] with the details of your account and order so that we can clarify the situation.

Best,
Luke

Horrible experience

February 26, 2020 by Sabine from United States

Spent hours filling out surveys last week. Guessed several of the questions right for the chances to be entered in the drawing for the VISA card, too. I had enough to request a $5 gift card from Amazon, which I did. Then surveys stopped and my account was conveniently deactivated a few days later with no explanation. I have read the T&Cs over and over again and don't see anything I've violated. I messaged customer service but didn't receive a reply. I spent hours answering your surveys, and if you choose to deactivate my account without explanation, so be it, but I have earned that $5 gift card at Amazon ($5 for hours of my time - lowest wage ever!) so I expect my payment, please. Also, stop sending me links to new surveys since you've deactivated my account. I don't need the spam. Thank you.

UPDATE 2/25/20. I've spent the past 2 weeks trying to get an answer from I-Say about how to get the Amazon gift card I had requested when my account was still active (on Feb 7th - I got the email about my profile not being valuable to them anymore on Feb 10th). I was assured they were looking into it, but still had to nudge them once a week to get the conversation going. Finally today I was transferred to someone who could help me... or so I was told. The person just short of copied and pasted all the information that was communicated to me (and that sparked the string of messages underneath his message!) 2 weeks earlier - just stating that my account had been deactivated and that I had 45 days to redeem my points, even though the gift card I tried to get 3 weeks earlier was never processed, and the rest of my points were immediately marked as forfeited. Obviously did not answer my question at all, and it's obvious he didn't take the time to even look at my question. I'm beyond frustrated.

Earned points, the next day they are EXPIRED!!

January 15, 2020 by ashley from United States

If there was an option to upload my screenshot, I would. I earned 105 points on Jan 08, 2020. I log in on Jan 09, 2020 and it says:

Jan 09, 2020, OtherReward, points expiration, -105, 0 (new balance).

That's only less than 24 hours since I earned the points.

I feel cheated. I have tried many survey sites and this is the only one that just erased my points. I was actually excited at first to try this site because I loved the layout of it. I will never trust this site and won't be returning. I know 105 points isn't much, but to me, it is since I need the extra cash to buy little things that I can't afford after paying bills and such.

If someone stole $1.05 from me in person, I'd be upset...it feels the same online too. Stay away from this website.

UPDATE: After contacting them earlier today (Jan 9) about my points, I receive this hours later:

"We have been reviewing our clients' research requirements and, unfortunately, your member profile is no longer suitable for our market research needs. Consequently, your account was deactivated on 2020-01-09.

In these circumstances, your membership cannot be reactivated."

UPDATE: After the above e-mail I have received many emails offering me surveys and a reply back from them. Those survey emails and reply came after the email about account deactivation. I can still log in to my account. Please keep in mind that they ERASED MY POINTS BEFORE SUSPENDING MY ACCOUNT. They are now acting like my points were erased because my account was suspended. This is NOT true. My account was deactivated because I contacted them wanting to know why my points were erased.

Their reply (Jan 10 at 8:27 AM):

"Thanks for reaching out!

We have been reviewing our clients’ research requirements and, unfortunately, your member profile is no longer suitable for our needs. Consequently, your account was deactivated.

All remaining points have been forfeited.

This decision was made for market research purposes only, and we’re sorry if it caused you any inconvenience. The personal information you’ve provided will not be used to contact you and will not be passed to any third parties.

Please also note that we reserve the right to cancel a membership without warning or having to justify the decision afterwards, according to our terms and conditions, which you agreed to when you joined our panel.

Thank you for your past participation!

Regards,

i-Say Panel Support Team"

This is all ridiculous! They won't stop sending me emails for surveys, I can still log into my account and do a survey (I tested it) yet they are still not explaining why they erased my earned points for completing 2 surveys fully. I also had a few cents here and there for surveys I didn't qualify for.
