You will not be able to earn enough to cash out

September 17, 2010 by C from Canada

Surveys generally provide $1 per survey completed, while most surveys are sweepstakes entries. After accumulating $30, which took 3 years, all surveys stopped coming.

Angus Reid sent out a survey a few months ago to rate them and offer any comments we may have. I stated it was not ethical to stop sending surveys after a member is a few surveys away from being able to cash out (you must reach $50). After that, a few surveys started coming again (about 1-2 per month).

Since that time that I provided my comments (many months ago), I only earned $2.

After all these years, I was never able to cash out and receive an incentive for the surveys I completed.

They will not compensate you appropriately for your time. Stay away and choose more reputable survey companies that actually reward their members accordingly.

Unresponsive regarding rewards

December 9, 2017 by Carla from Canada

I've been a user of Angus Reid since 2011, The surveys content are varied, they are interesting to do, and there's always room at the end for some comments (being errors, mistakes or optimization features. I find a lot of times some multiple choice questions could use a "none of the above" option, and for some reason the word "Portuguese" is always missing the U, even though I've been submitting feedback on it for ages). The surveys are a lot more frequent now, maybe a result of the Maru/Matchbox changes, averaging 6 per month.

However, the amount of points awarded for our time is very low, especially considering some of them take up to 25 minutes to fill out. In all these years I have only managed to redeem rewards once. It takes ages to get to the $50 mark required to redeem anything.

I have finally accumulated enough points to redeem for the second time (Paypal) and while the redemption process is easy enough and you get an instant email stating you will receive your reward in 2-4 days, it has been 5 weeks now of contacting support about it and no result. Neither do I have the points, nor the Paypal funds. The ONLY time they sent me anything other than a non-automated reply was after contacting them 3 times, asking me to confirm my email address. I can't confirm my email any more than this, its' still the same from which I contacted them and receive my surveys at... I even gave them another email that's tied to my Paypal account.

The site boosts having and more draws/contests per month, except no winners have been listed at all since November 2016, even though there are supposedly 2 monthly draws. They also boost "greatly reduced delivery times" and "a team dedicated to assisting with all your rewards-related issues". This is completely false. I can get a digital reward from other survey sites within a week, sometimes instantly. I don't see what can possibly be the issue with this! I will be submitting a complaint with the BBB.

Takes way too long to cash out

December 2, 2016 by Frank from Canada

I find this crap...Angus Reid takes way too long to cash out your rewards..they make you cash out at $50 which took me over a year to do..you're lucky if you get 1 survey a month...way too long...not enough surveys...waste of time

Redemption confusing

May 10, 2016 by DL from Canada

Late last year, I applied to redeem my "survey dollars". When I visited the site recently, the survey dollars were still sitting there, but couldn't be redeemed because I had already applied. What I finally determined is they had credited my Aeroplan account for points, even though there is no mention on the site of Aeroplan as an option (has it been discontinued? who knows). The redemption was fairly good, so I will keep doing the surveys, but I hate dealing with a company whose record of my account is so confusing.

It is ok overall...

April 29, 2016 by Mark from Canada

I see many reviewers commenting on the fact that it takes too long to get to the $50 cash out minimum, and that the surveys are not very highly compensated for. I can relate to the fact that I spend up to 15 minutes completing a complicated survey only to earn $1 or $1.50. It can be tiring.

I joined three years ago, and spent a good year painfully trying to accumulate the requited survey dollars. It felt like it would take forever. Luckily, I was offered a couple of quite high paying surveys in a row, which pushed me up. I was able to redeem for 4000 air miles. The transaction to get them deposited was quick and simple.

Good rewards, but need to be easier and less frustrating to attain. After I redeemed my reward, I stopped. I recently signed back up and I notice that surveys are a bit more frequent, and the dollar amount you get paid for doing the surveys seems to be a bit higher.

Will see how it goes
